"Rooms are spacious, well designed and allow for adequate daylight. Several one and two bedroom floor plans are available HVAC maintains a comfortable environment. Kitchen and Laundry appliances are acceptable. Everyone on the Leadership Team and their assistants are without a doubt professional, warm, kind, helpful and willing to go the extra mile to keep the residents happy. The Dining Room Employees are helpful and pleasant. It is obvious that they love what they do, in spite of long hours and occasional week-ends. We consider our fellow residents to be the major attribute of Harmony at West Ashley. We have made more new friends than ever before in our lives. We couldn't have asked for a better group to live with. There are enough activities to please everyone, be it physical games, card games, fitness activities, intellectual discussion groups, book club, knitting group, art lessons, and flower arranging to name a few. There are weekly tours to points of interest close by, as well as shopping trips.There is a profession therapy group on site. We feel the only amenity missing is an indoor pool. The Activities Staff does an outstanding job arranging semi-monthly parties, both theme and celebration. Their daily (6 days a week) Happy Hour is a great way to get to know your neighbors and welcome new residents. We have made more new friends and stay involve.d in daily happenings Moving into Harmony Independent Living. was definitely one the best decisions we've made. "The staff at Stratford Place was interactive. The people were not just sitting in their wheelchairs. It was a clean facility. The staff was interacting with the people that were there, though not quite as interactive as you would see over at the other location. The good thing about it is it was a small facility. When we walked in the memory care unit, a lady was singing a gorgeous song, and they were all interactive and sitting around and listening to her. The director there knew the people's names. He was new, but he already knew them. We started with assisted living and then we went up to the memory care. You could probably go into assisted living and then later get to memory care because they had the capability to work on it because it's a small area. They had interactive games. They had an activities director who was very nice, and she had a family member that was there, so to bring your own family in there is a plus. They had activities to do on a routine basis. The residents were making door wreaths and stuff. They had a lady helping them with that activity. They were doing activities, which is good because with memory care you want them to be doing something, even if they can't do that, they can glue a flower to a wreath, and that's good. The rooms were nice, but not as nice as the other location."

"We have a place for my relative to stay. He is in Pinewood now. We visited a lot of facilities in the area and we like this one the best. He has been there for two months now. The staff seems great. They seem to care about their guests. It also seems like they are knowledgeable. We did have to furnish his room there but that wasn't really a problem. "

"The Crossings at Wescott Plantation is brand-new, so everything was very nice and clean. I didn't have any problems with it, although it did seem a little vacant because I visited on a Saturday, which was a calmer time. The rooms were really clean and the kitchens were nice, and I like that some apartments had balconies. All in all I got a good vibe about the place; it just didn't fit our needs. They have a very small library. The staff members were really young. It didn’t seem like they had much experience in the field, but they were very nice."

"My mother-in-law has been in Dayspring for 5 yrs. The staff treats her like there own grandmother, they take care of her needs and see that see gets meals that she enjoys. The reason we decided on Dayspring was because of the owners, they are a hands on couple who are there on a daily bases. I feel as though they have given me the ability to enjoy my mother instead of being her care taker. "

"Dayspring is a wonderful place. The owners are very caring and loving people and treat the residents as family. The other staff members are very attentive. My family member was there for 9 years and was very happy here. She was previously at another facility for 2 years. Moving her to Dayspring was the best thing. She was so happy here. I recommend them to everyone that is looking for an assisted living facility."

"I went to look here, and I liked it very much. When I first got there, I was walking out of the lady's office that was showing me around, and a lot of different people came up to me and introduced themselves. They said, "Are you going to move here? You would love it here." I was really impressed with that. I thought the dining room was very nice, clean, spacious, and the tables were not too close together. The person who gave me the tour was very nice. She was always there and answered questions for me. She was very personable. They have an indoor swimming pool, a golf tee, a workout room, and a theater. I did not see a beauty salon, but I think they have one or two chairs where people can get a haircut. It was a beautiful place."

"It was closer to the paper mill, and you could tell it was close, because of the residual from the doors being opened, but the facility itself was good. The lady that gave the tour was thorough, professional, and very nice. The rooms were adequate. They were nice, big enough, and clean. We visited all the different sized rooms and we were explained about the grounds, the activities, and different things like that. So, it was a very good tour."

"Wellmore Daniel Island is very nice and lovely. It was a beautiful building. There's a washer and dryer and walk-in shower. The staff was very nice and the fellow I talked to was terrific. The location was pretty good, and really close to Mount Pleasant. You also have the option for transportation. It's also expensive."

"Somerby of Mount Pleasant is beautiful and it is clean. I didn't taste the food or anything, but the restaurant looked nice. They have a nice pool. I liked the idea of the cottages, which were kind of outside the apartments and the assisted living. They had these cottages around the property that you can live in, and although they are more independent, you can still have access to services. So I went and showed that to my parents, and they liked that option better than the apartments. "

"Merrill Gardens at Carolina Park was wonderful. The meals and staff members were above average. Everything was beautiful. It's the best layout I've ever seen for memory care, but it's a little pricey. The rooms were very nice and very well laid out. They had studios and shared rooms. I like that if the wife or the husband progresses more and one of them needs to be moved to memory care, they don't have to go into the memory care unit. They can stay where they're at with their wife or husband and they will get the same care because the rooms are up to code for both types of care. The only problem is they're understaffed."

"My husband is at Kempton of Charleston. He's been there for a year. Everybody has been great. My husband loves it there. It's a very nice place. They take good care of him, so I have no complaints. It's the most beautiful place in Charleston. It's like a five-star hotel. It's relatively new. The staff members are great. They have an activities director who takes them out to various places in Charleston, which is nice. One of the things I'm the happiest about is that they do a lot of activities. They're kept busy if they want to. She encourages everyone to participate. My husband gained 15 pounds, so he loves the food. It's a little bit more expensive."

"Indigo Hall was very high end, very new, and fresh. They're very helpful, and the facility was very nice. There were a lot of people gathering around and talking. I just don't remember them physically doing an activity at the time that we were there, but they just said they do have a lot of activities. The place was very well maintained and totally clean."
