"I have been to Franke at Seaside. My friend is in the independent living side. It's absolutely perfect. It's beautiful. The grounds are well kept. Everything is very clean and very nice. It's like a resort almost. My friend has no complaints. She likes it quite well, but I didn't personally meet any of the staff members. They have beautiful dining areas and a chapel for church-type things. They have activity rooms where they could go in and do crafts or stuff like that. It was just very pleasant. The residents looked well dressed. I would say it's a very affluent community. I thought the activities were good. The food was excellent."

"I like Harmony at Wescott. I love that they offer all three levels of care. That was my favorite thing. I like that even with the memory care wing, the residents are able to lock their front door. I loved that because that was something you cannot do at the other place. The living spaces were fine. The apartments in the assisted living rooms were fairly similar, but they were plenty roomy. The place seemed very clean. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very informative."

"My sister will move into Stratford Place Assisted Living & Memory Care. The size of the room mattered to her, and so she would have a room large enough to function in. She will have her own small table so that she can do her puzzles in her room and things like that. She will also have a private bathroom. The amenities were a large dining room, so everything was spread out. The activities are kind of the same everywhere unless you're spending $6,000 a month. But in our price range, I think we're getting some good assistance. The people working there seemed attentive, caring, and personable."

"I went here, and I liked it. They're coming out to evaluate my friend on Friday. It was very good. They were friendly and it was clean. The people seemed happy and the lady who I toured with was very nice. I didn't have any problems with it at all. I didn't try the food, but I saw it, and it looked good. I saw the chapel, rooms, and the courtyard. I think I saw almost everything. The rooms were clean and roomy. One of them had carpet, and that wasn't my thing because I just prefer not carpet. The other ones have luxury vinyl floors, which is what I would do. That was more like the premier room. The one-room I was interested in had granite countertops, and it had a nice view, which was the main reason why I was interested in it. You could see outside, and it had a double window. It was nice."

"I like TerraBella Summerville a lot. My mother would be moving in there today if we could afford it. It topped off every single place that I've looked at by far. They really seem to have genuine care for their residents. I had the opportunity to see the staff interacting with a particular resident who seemed a little bit lost and needed a little bit of assistance, and they were right on it, caring for him and understanding that he was confused. It was really wonderful. They have new management there that's working toward building different activity centers for them, which I thought was really fantastic. The facility itself was very clean. I really enjoyed the fact that they had nursing staff 24/7 there. The staff was very understanding to the very specific needs that my mother has. He was very understanding and very concise. He was great about explaining how things work there, so I really thought it was great. They have an activities director there. They have a monthly calendar with different activities that they can choose to do throughout the day every day. They were in the middle of building a new arts and crafts room, as well as putting together a makeshift movie theater type deal for them."

"I toured Cypress Square. I was greeted, and I could see that the people working there seemed to enjoy their jobs, and that was good. Eileen took me around. The lighting was fantastic. It looked like the residents were very happy with where they were. I looked at the studio apartment, and I was very pleased with it. The place was very nice. The tables in their dining area were set, and it was very organized and very open. I just thought that was very good."

"This is the BEST facility!! The staff took the best care of my grandfather and their attentiveness towards their residents never went unnoticed! I would recommend this facility to anyone as they treat each resident as if they were their own family! The rooms were great and the food was even better. Anyone would be fortunate to get to stay here!"

"Dayspring provided excellent care for my cousin for the six months that she was there. I have had experiences with two different corporate-owned facilities. Although those facilities were "prettier" than Dayspring in Hollywood, there were problems with communication and staff turnover (including management). Conscientious owners on-site make a huge difference; my cousin received more individual attention and communication was seamless. The staff is friendly and helpful and the facility is always spotlessly clean. Highly recommended."

"My husband is at Kempton of Charleston. He's been there for a year. Everybody has been great. My husband loves it there. It's a very nice place. They take good care of him, so I have no complaints. It's the most beautiful place in Charleston. It's like a five-star hotel. It's relatively new. The staff members are great. They have an activities director who takes them out to various places in Charleston, which is nice. One of the things I'm the happiest about is that they do a lot of activities. They're kept busy if they want to. She encourages everyone to participate. My husband gained 15 pounds, so he loves the food. It's a little bit more expensive."

"We have chosen Wellmore of Daniel Island for my mother-in-law. Well, she's from Daniel Island, and she's familiar with the area. She's still able to get around a little bit, and so we figured it wouldn't be a drastic change. Her friends could visit her; that's the main reason. It's also a very nice-looking facility. The staff was very friendly. Everybody introduced themselves as we walked through. They seemed very professional, and positive. My mother-in-law hasn't moved in yet. She'll be moving in next week. Wellmore of Daniel Island was excellent as far as physical condition. The dining room, the swimming pool, the TV room, the quiet room, and the sitting room were all well manicured, and clean. The staff was very friendly, and very helpful. Other than it being a little more expensive than the rest, I have no complaints about it. I think it's a fine facility. I was more impressed with the staff than the building, that's how good the staff presented themselves. The facility is only two years old."

"My Aunt lives at The Palmettos and believe me we looked at a lot of places. For the money we found this to be a great option, and in many cases better than the more expensive ones.The staff could not be kinder and more helpful. My Aunt's room is very nice and has a lovely view. The facility is always clean and smells fresh, not antiseptic. It was recently remolded with very tasteful furnishings, paintings and carpet. They provide just about anything you could ask for including a family like atmosphere. My Aunt calls the staff her kids! They have outings that she enjoys, from the Dollar Tree to very nice lunch outings. From top management on down the ladder they provide a safe, friendly environment, which gives me great peace of mind. "

"I'm very happy with Indigo Hall. My father is improving while my mother feels like she's on vacation. I compare it to the Ritz Carlton. The staff is lovely and very attentive. They know every single person there. I've spent a lot of time there and they just have been amazing. They're all kind and caring. I'm impressed with the intellectual level and the level of care demonstrated by everybody that I've encountered. The food is very good and I was impressed with the quality of wine they serve for happy hour. They have music therapy, guest speakers, a program on travel, exercise class, church services on Sunday, and a lot more. I think they're doing great. They have a quite nice room. It's beautiful. I'm very pleased with them."

They pretty much had everything. We liked the fact that they had home care that came in. They also had physical and occupational therapy, a salon, and a gym."
