"My mom is in Summer Breeze. It is the closest facility to our house and it is such a nice place. The staff is responsive and they take good care of her. She has her own two-bedroom condominium. They have three meals a day and they have a lot of activities in the afternoon. They have community center where they get together. "

"I toured. From what I could gather, they stay in tune with the residents. They give them a schedule so they know what days of the week they're doing what, and they know when they're having outings. They're even in contract with the transportation agency if they need rides to their appointments and things like that. They have a lovely dining room. They have I think 2 or 3 levels available. The staff was very friendly. The dining area, the way it's set up was very beautiful and very sociable."

"We visited Harmony at Savannah's assisted living for my brother-in-law. I like the way it was set up, the design, and the cleanliness. Everybody was very friendly, courteous, and professional. They did a good job, as it's a really pretty and very updated facility. We met the marketing director, who was very nice and professional. The person showed us all around and did a very good job. We met the nurse on the floor where my brother-in-law would have been, and she was also very nice and very professional. The receptionist at the front desk was the same and was very sweet. Overall, it was a nice visit."

"The least I liked about Sunabella Senior Living is they have two separate buildings, one for memory care, and one for assisted living, and they do a little bit more in one building, so if the residents don't go to the other building they might miss something, Overall, I think it's a very beautiful location in Savannah. The facility was clean. The room sizes were nice. The staff was wonderful, showing me the different rooms and the sizes, and how they could walk outside in a garden. It was very spacious. The residents have nice places to sit and places to walk inside and outside. I've met a couple of the staff members, as well as the management who showed me around. They were very nice and very informative. They had a studio bedroom and one bedroom. The rooms were great and had a very nice layout."

"We toured Thrive at Skidaway. It's brand new.It's not even completely full yet, but I felt that the memory care rooms were smaller than the other places we looked at. It's fantastic and spic and span clean from top to bottom. There were playing some cards in the memory care. They only had two clients at the time we toured, but they were at a table. There was a director with them doing activities. The staff is very knowledgeable."

"My mom is living in Insignia of Savannah, and it's very good. Her room is very clean, and everything's wonderful. They play games and do puzzles. The food is great, and I have no problems with it whatsoever. There's a screened-in porch and a patio."

"The entire staff at Oaks is amazing. They truly care about the residents there, and provide excellent care and assistance when needed. In addition to fun activities, good food, and pretty surroundings, they offer opportunities for spiritual growth and support. "

"I was able to visit, and overall it was a good place. Their staff seemed nice and knowledgable. Their food was good. You sit down in their dining room, and they bring you what is on the menu. Their value seemed good for the area. "

"The staff was very professional, took a lot of time to talk to me and took me on a tour. They had meeting rooms, activity rooms, music, piano, get-togethers, live entertainment, game room, and a place for happy hour. The memory care facilities got their own wing there. It was clean, but a little bit of an older facility."

"I went to Sprenger Health Care Bluffton. The tour was very good. Cynthia did a good job with the tour. She's very knowledgeable and helpful. I was not impressed with their staff-to-resident ratio in the assisted living part. I thought their staff-to-resident ratio number was not where it should be. The rooms seemed fine. Everything looked clean. They're a very usable, livable type of space. There's a small refrigerator, like a little freezer, a little microwave, and a little counter where they could fix a cup of coffee, and that seemed to be pretty standard across the facilities."

"The Retreat at Lady's Island is a very nice place, the building and all is nice. It's along a river, so the outside has a beautiful view and you see boats coming by occasionally. The people here are nice. The biggest complaint that the people here have is the food, and we're hoping that it will improve, but it hasn't happened yet. I have a two-bedroom and it's very nice. I have a little kitchenette with a small refrigerator and a microwave, the bedroom is separate with a private bathroom. There's a washing machine out in the hall, but right now it's broken, though there's another one further down the hall. The facilities are pretty nice. I would suggest that people come in and view it, which would help more than anything. Other than the food, there's nothing I can complain about. It has a much prettier view than most other places. I have a room in a corner and I look over the river and you can see across the river and the downtown view. It's quite a pleasant place. The staff is very nice, we just learned yesterday from the governor that we can have visitors in now, which is a nice statewide thing. When I got here there were quite a lot of things to do, but when the sickness went around they cut back on most everything. There was singing and music to games, a chapel where we have a service, and on Mondays we had bus rides."

"My mom chose Buckingham South because she knew quite a few residents at that time and they highly recommended them. I'm glad she did because she got high quality care and I had peace of mind with me being out of state. Rita and the staff met her needs and took care of her like she was family. I was always informed and received regular updates on her well being. The great thing about the care is it is adjusted to your needs from being self sufficient all the way to end of life. Thanks Rita for loving her well and making moms last 6 years over her life a pleasure."
