"I have been with Senior Helpers Charleston since the first of the year. I have had some great people, but I've also had not-so-great people. Right now, I've got some good people that are helping me, and that works wonders. I have them from like 8 to 2, so I have them here for 6 hours. They get my husband up and out of bed, they help get him dressed and they empty the urine bottles and clean his room for him. They do laundry, they fix him breakfast, and they give him his medication. My husband can get out some days for PT, and they take him to that. They take him to any kind of appointment. They do a lot; they help me. A couple of the girls that I got right now go the extra mile. Because I had to get out of town for a convention this past weekend, I was able to have them come out and watch my husband, and they were able to do it as a live-in so that he would be covered for the whole weekend. So they're very professional. They're excellent. They're good. They're dependable and that helps me a lot. When my husband is napping, they're not sitting looking at their phone or anything. They're doing other things. They will dust and vacuum, which is fine, but I don't expect them to do that because I know they're there for him. They don't sit around, and I like that they stay busy.
