"At River's Edge, they only have four cottages, but they're quite nice. They did have a ton of apartments in the big building. The food was very nice, and it was served very nicely. They have a gym-type room where they have facilities to do activities, e.g., weight machine and things of that sort. Overall, I'm impressed with their cottages, I like them very much. "

"My mother moved into Harmony at Savannah. It's been a great facility, it's been very good. The staff has been very accommodating, and very good to work with. Her apartment is beautiful, brand new, and has every amenity that she needs. She said the food has all been very good, and she's a picky eater."

"I toured this community and its been updated very nicely. I toured the Health Center and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Each room has a flat screen T.V., and telephone. "

"My brother has moved into Thrive at Skidaway. The facility itself is wonderful, brand new, and it's right across the street from everything you could possibly need or want. It's got a pharmacy, a hair salon, nail salon, grocery, gas station, travel agency, and a care business. If you need extra help with anything, they've got CNAs and RNs that will help you. There's a library and everything, so that's a big plus. Just before my brother moved in, they lost their chef, and my brother says that the meals have been pretty bad. The staff is personable and ready to help in any way, except getting a new chef, but supposedly it is imminent that the good chef is coming back; I hope it's temporary. Hopefully that will be remedied."

"My mother in law is a resident of the Bayshore. It has truly been the best experience for her and our entire family. The community is like an oceanfront resort with caring staff and great activities. Her apartment is so much nicer than anything else we have seen. Complete with her own washer and dryer and full kitchen! She is able to live independently in her own beautiful space while staying active and engaged. As a family, we sleep much better at night knowing that the compassionate and caring staff is there to help should she need it at anytime now or in the future. "

"My husband has been at Sprenger Health Care Bluffton for 2 weeks now. It is a nice and clean place in a nice location. The health staff is a little stressed because there aren't enough of them, but the nurses are great. The coordinator is really good. The food isn't too bad. They're very diligent about the food. They're very interested in their residents' tolerability of certain foods and their diet in general. The doctors are good. If you have an issue, they will call the doctor, and the doctor always calls back. Overall, it's a good place. They're all private rooms, at least for the rehabilitation part. They have their own private bathroom. They have a refrigerator, and there's plenty of drawer space and closet space. They just had a trio recently playing music there. They do bingo, church services, watermelon socials, and ice pop socials. Everybody is welcome to participate, even the family members. They have common areas like a little chapel, a courtyard, and a beautiful dining area."

"We have three golf courses at Sun City Hilton Head, tennis, our own library, and a hall that shows movies. It's quite a nice place. We have our own houses that are pretty well built for retirees because it's a 55+ community. It's laid out very well and runs like a small city. "
