"We visited Harmony at Savannah's assisted living for my brother-in-law. I like the way it was set up, the design, and the cleanliness. Everybody was very friendly, courteous, and professional. They did a good job, as it's a really pretty and very updated facility. We met the marketing director, who was very nice and professional. The person showed us all around and did a very good job. We met the nurse on the floor where my brother-in-law would have been, and she was also very nice and very professional. The receptionist at the front desk was the same and was very sweet. Overall, it was a nice visit."

"Thrive on Skidaway was excellent. It's the nicest one I've seen. The staff was very responsive and attentive. Their two-bedroom apartments had a nice kitchen, nice living area, and nice sized bathrooms. The dining area was clean and the whole place feels like a nice five-star hotel more than it does as an assisted living or apartment. It looks great. They have a coffee bar, a hair salon, an exercise room, physical therapy, occupational therapy area, lobby area, card room, game room, pool tables, pickleball courts, and Bocce ball courts."

"My father will be moving into Bloom at Belfair. It's a very nice place. We like that. They've got very good people. We like the offerings of the place. It looks like it's going to fit my father's needs very well. They've got lots of different things going on. They have transportation, snacks, and meals. The best thing about it is you pay one price and there are very few incidentals after that beyond your medical and stuff. The meal preparation is a big deal, the house cleaning, and the fact that there's going to be someone there onsite 24/7 if something happens."

"I toured The Bayshore on Hilton Head Island. The nicest thing was that the building is gorgeous, the food is very good, and they have a chef on staff. The staff was very courteous and knowledgeable about the property. It's a great location, right on the water, and the building is practically new, so everything's very well taken care of. The layout is very convenient and very efficient."

"I went to Sprenger Health Care Bluffton. The tour was very good. Cynthia did a good job with the tour. She's very knowledgeable and helpful. I was not impressed with their staff-to-resident ratio in the assisted living part. I thought their staff-to-resident ratio number was not where it should be. The rooms seemed fine. Everything looked clean. They're a very usable, livable type of space. There's a small refrigerator, like a little freezer, a little microwave, and a little counter where they could fix a cup of coffee, and that seemed to be pretty standard across the facilities."

"We have three golf courses at Sun City Hilton Head, tennis, our own library, and a hall that shows movies. It's quite a nice place. We have our own houses that are pretty well built for retirees because it's a 55+ community. It's laid out very well and runs like a small city. "

"My mother lived at The Seabrook in Hilton Head, and she loved it there. They had great activities, the staff was fantastic, and the food was phenomenal. The setting was nice, and the service was great. For activities, they had happy hour, games, cards, and parties. They had a swimming pool, exercise classes, and Bingo. They made it really fun. Their facility was beautiful, the landscaping was gorgeous, and the setting was very tropical and beautiful. The apartments were very nice, some of them you rent per month and some of them you purchase like a condo. My mother was renting and it was great. Her room was large and really nice."

"We're on the waiting list at Thomas Francis Williams Court Apartments. I liked that it was safe and secure. It had different floor levels. There was a washer/dryer laundromat right at the facility. The mailboxes were right there, too. The staff was very friendly. Any questions that we had, they were able to answer. They didn't have any room available to show us, but they had one and two bedrooms. They just showed us a floor plan. The living atmosphere was very friendly and nice. They had a gazebo to sit outside. It was secure as far as your car because it's not mixed with the visitors or anything like that. They had a social room where they did activities like different games and bingo."

"The least I liked about Sunabella Senior Living is they have two separate buildings, one for memory care, and one for assisted living, and they do a little bit more in one building, so if the residents don't go to the other building they might miss something, Overall, I think it's a very beautiful location in Savannah. The facility was clean. The room sizes were nice. The staff was wonderful, showing me the different rooms and the sizes, and how they could walk outside in a garden. It was very spacious. The residents have nice places to sit and places to walk inside and outside. I've met a couple of the staff members, as well as the management who showed me around. They were very nice and very informative. They had a studio bedroom and one bedroom. The rooms were great and had a very nice layout."

"We're on the list at Savannah Square. It's nice. They have a lot of places to walk outside and of course, you can walk inside. They have some cottages if you want to live there or they have an inside place where you can live, and that's what we like. We like the inside better because we are older and all. Inside the apartments, they had a stove, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher, but they did not have a microwave. If you stay inside the building, you cannot have a washer and dryer in your apartment. You have to use one down the hall, and they have a laundry room there. If you stay in a cottage, you can have a washer and dryer, but you have to purchase it yourself. The staff who took me around was very nice and very knowledgeable. She did not pressure us. They provide three meals a day. We had lunch there and it was good. Everything was very clean."
