"Arbor Landing at Surfside was a very clean and friendly community with lots of amenities. The staff was very knowledgeable and nice. They got spacious rooms and very well-maintained property. The dining area was also very nice. It's centrally located and it was a restaurant-style with tablecloths and centerpieces. They have all sorts of social groups. They do things with the veterans and the nurse practitioners come to the site. There's also physical therapy, a barbershop on site, cards/other games, and then live music on Friday nights."

"It was a nice place. The staff was very thorough. They explained everything about the place. The rooms were fine. They looked like standard condos. The dining room was set-up with tables and chairs, and I thought there were four people to a table. They had a lot to offer, and they had a lot of social events. It was very friendly and very open. The people there were very knowledgeable. It seemed more like a community versus a retirement home. "

"Indigo at Carolina Forest was a very beautiful facility. I liked all the amenities they had. If I were considering going to a facility like this, I would probably go here. The facility is new. They have physical therapy, haircuts, and food. Everything was just very well done. They have an exercise room where you can get your nails done. They had all these great amenities on site. They had great social activities. They had events planned and free transportation to doctors' appointments. The staff member was fantastic, very personable, took a lot of time with me, and answered all my questions. She was a very nice person. I saw the menus, and the staff gave me a cookie. It was one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. You also get two free drinks every day too."

"What a great place for Mom! The first thing I noticed was that not only did the folks working there seemed happy and liked their jobs, the residents all looked happy. There was always something to do and someone to do it with. Food transitioned a few times to better service and better meals. Management meets with the residents and even listens to how they can make it better. When Mom transitioned to assisted living, the process was seamless and painless. I always felt like Mom was safe and cared for. A resident isn’t just a room number. Administration, management, reception, maintenance and everyone else knew residents by name and what was going on with them. Terrific facility and staff."

"For ten years we have been residents. It took us only a couple of days to know we had made the right decision. A small community making it possible to know everyone, wonderful and interesting residents. a caring, friendly, capable staff, - what more could we ever have wished for? Last July a fall and fractured hip meant surgery followed some months later by a second surgery. Suddenly there was another plus for us as a couple. One could be in the Skilled Nursing Facility doing therapy and the other had only to jump into a golf cart so as to eat meals together and watch Sunday football! Living in a Continuing Care Facility paid off years before we thought we would ever need it. Now we both are at home once again enjoying the many activities and being back in the dining room enjoying the great food. "

"We toured the Magnolia Bridge at Murrells Inlet. The two people who took us on the tour were good. They were okay, but they were rushed. We didn't see much at all. We did see one apartment, but everything about that was older. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's newer, but it didn't seem that way. We did not like it as much as the others. It was in a separate building. You go outside to that, and maybe there was nothing available inside the main building, but she'd told us beforehand that she just had a limited amount of time. So, we did not see as much as we saw at the other one. The atmosphere was okay. It was good. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't up to the quality and the atmosphere of others. The halls were narrow, whereas the others were wide and spacious."
