"I toured Spring Oak Conway. I like the location. The location is convenient, and the price is competitive. The least that I like is, it's located close to a busy highway. The director is fantastic. The building is old, but it's clean. It has a warm and inviting atmosphere."

"My mom is here, and they're OK. The women who help my mom are phenomenal, and I thank them all the time. It's not a bad facility, the rooms are clean, organized, and not too small. It's good for one person. They have a lot of activities for those who can participate. It's a good community. The staff members are involved for the most part and from what I can see."

"My mother absolutely loves Seabrook at Murrells Inlet. Her only complaint is the meals. They recently had a prom, which was phenomenal. The staff put it on, and it was so great for the residents. My mother had such a good time. They had them get all dressed up. They had a red carpet. They clapped and called everybody's name out when they walked down the red carpet. They had great food. They put stars on the floor with all the residents' pictures as they do in Hollywood. They had a DJ. They had all kinds of decorations, and they even brought somebody in who had prom dresses for them to wear. We had the best time, and the Chick-fil-A cow was there and doing the Macarena. It was just so much fun. She doesn't usually participate in things. It was special that she did that. One of the people who worked there talked her into going. The staff really goes above and beyond to do stuff for the residents. They have a bus, and they do shopping trips. They take them to movies, they do exercise classes, and they have bingo. She's able to have her dog there, which is wonderful. Her apartment is really nice and big. Every hallway has a different color. She's in the orange wing on the second floor. She has a closet that's big enough to put a bed in. She has a beautiful bathroom with a nice shower and a sink with a granite countertop. It has a little kitchenette. She's got high ceilings and a ceiling fan. It came with a little refrigerator, and we put a microwave in there for her. She was able to fit some of her furniture from her condo, and she just feels at home there. It really worked out well. It's a beautiful facility."

"Inlet Coastal Resort was very clean, and I did not see anything that bothered me. It did not have an odor that other places have. I liked their rooms, but I was not able to check their dining area. The rooms were very nice, and they do allow you to make the rooms as the residents want it to be. "

"I did a tour of Tabor Commons. I guess it was OK. The only thing is that they weren't allowed visitation at the moment due to COVID. They had to go into the common area. But at the moment I think they are doing visitations, because it is in North Carolina, and they have different rules. They had shared rooms, but some of the rooms had a full bathroom. Some people had to share a bathroom with another room, and some had a toilet, but they had to go take showers down the hall. I wasn't too interested in that kind of set up. The rooms are a lot smaller than the place she's at now. The people are really nice there. I think the price was cheaper, but the rooms were a lot smaller. It was the TV room, where they said they do visitation, that was good. The dining room was OK."

"The help at Reflections seemed very good. They're very efficient help. They have some activities. I saw one room, and it seemed spacious enough. Reflections was a brand new building; however, they should paint their walls a lighter color. I think it made the place looked a little dark. "

"My mom has been in Magnolias of Myrtle Beach for three months now. It was recommended to us by her physician. We shopped all around in the area and kind of decided on another one, but when we went to her doctor to get the TB test that was necessary before you go in a facility, her doctor said, "Don't decide on anything until you go see this one (Magnolias of Myrtle Beach)." So we went and had lunch there and talked to the director, it was so good that my mom wanted to move in the next day. We love the staff, the administrator, and everybody there. It is really great! We also love the location, the facilities, etc. We just love everything about it. It is just that good. I would recommend it to others, in fact, I already had. I'm really pleased with this facility. "

"I had a tour at Myrtle Beach, and I like it. It was clean. They have suites instead of just a one room setup, and I like that very much. The only thing that I did not like was I did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling during the whole tour. "

"It was very nice. The staff was great and looked happy working there. They were friendly and very good. The rooms were like studio or one-bedroom apartments, and they had patios, and a kitchen with a granite counter top. My dad doesn’t complain about the food. Dad is wheel chair bound, so he does the Wii golf. They also had church, music and piano."

"The Palmettos of Garden City is wonderful. It's brand new, very clean, open, and airy. They have a lot of common areas to sit and socialize. Their staff is wonderful, I met their medical and nursing directors and activities director and they're all very caring and enthusiastic. It's conveniently located and the grounds are very nice, it's tucked away in a lot of trees. My father's room is a studio, it's a little smaller and pricier than some of the other places, but it's manageable. It has a large bathroom, with cable, Wi-Fi, and a telephone provided for free. All utilities are covered. In addition to three meals, they have unlimited snacks throughout the day. There's also a little bistro area where you can socialize and they have a happy hour every day."

"Garden Manor had small apartments. There was a library and a small place in the back where you could plant flowers. They served one nice big meal a day. If you wanted something for later in the evening, you could get a box of food to take with you. They would come and clean once a week. They went on trips for shopping in a van. It was just what I needed. The people were very nice, very friendly, and outgoing. "

"I visited Hope Arbor of Murrells Inlet. The location is good and the place is clean. The grounds are really nice and they have transportation for the residents. The staff was very polite and professional. The only problem is that highway 707 is undergoing a two-year planned road widening project. The noise and traffic will be awful."

"We toured River Park Senior Living. It was very, very nice. It was brand new. It was bright, cheerful, and modern. It was a very lovely place. They have everything. It was really a beautiful facility, and we really, really liked it. We liked the location. It was quiet and kind of secluded. The people that we did encounter were very nice, very helpful, and very accommodating."
