There are alot of activities daily. This is a small community with works well for her. The staff is excellent & they keep you informed of any problems right away. "My father is at Leland House. They seem to be a caring bunch of people. It's a smaller facility. The staff is very friendly. He's in the memory care locked down facility. There are two people to a room and they have their own bathroom and cable TV in their rooms. The menu looks good. They have a little courtyard they can go out to. The pricing is reasonable."

"The lighting at Cedar Cove Assisted Living was very dim. The halls were not as wide and they would not allow my dad to have his scooter there, which would have been an issue with the length of walk that he had to do to get to the dining room. Other than that, they were all friendly and polite. I've had meals there and the food was good. The apartment we saw was just one big room with a bathroom. My dad was supposed to get a private room, which he wanted, but they didn't have one available (they have some private rooms, but most of them are semi-private). They have a nice dining room. I know someone that has been there for about three years. So, I've been out there many times to visit and most of the residents were very social."

"Dad hasn’t been there very long at Brightmore of Wilmington, but we find them very receptive. We liked it very much and we are very pleased. I like the overall philosophy of the care that is given there. The staff has been wonderful. They have all the usual things with regards to the activities like outings, bingo, bridge, and current events. I would absolutely recommend this facility to others. "

"I am so thankful my Mom and I landed at The Commons at Brightmore. She has been living in Paraklay Way for about 2 years, but was a resident in two other units prior to this last move. As Mom's cognitive status has changed, the staff has gently adapted along with us, and has patiently educated me as I struggled with Mom's dementia. A a staff member said recently, "This is her home. We are all a family." And I am ever so thankful for that sentiment and the care they give that reflects it. What a gift to hear a staff member say, "Oh I love working with this population. It just speaks to my heart." And I have heard that over and over. I get photos of my Mom when I cannot be there for a few days, they are patient with my worries, and let me partner with them in activities and celebrations when possible. My Mom loves these kind, talented, caring folks as do I. "

"I like that the admission person here was very personable. She worked hard to get everything we would need in place for my father. They supply appliances, and my parents are going into a two-bedroom-two-bath apartment that has all the features of a kitchen like a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and all that stuff. They have a washer and dryer. The staff who gave the tour was awesome. They provide three hot meals a day, and the set-up is more like restaurant style so that when you sit down, someone comes and waits on you and serves the food to you. The building is beautiful. They keep it very clean."
