"The rooms at Brunswick Cove Nursing Center were spacious and well lit. They have an activities director but they don't have very active or very mobile residents so the activities are limited to drawings, coloring, and games. They have outdoor areas. The dining area is cafeteria style, but it was still nice. The staff there was very nice too."

"My dad went to Azalea Health & Rehab Center. They moved his room closer to the nurse's station just so they can keep an extra eye on him. And they were very active as far as calling us if he falls, and calling us if they needed something from us. So they did an excellent job with that. Most of the time, it was nice and clean. There were a couple of times where everything wasn't great in his room as far as, dirty laundry, that type of thing. I met the rehab team and I like them. There were a couple of staff members that I did not like some of their answers when they talked to me about him not wanting to stay there. They were kind of ugly about it. The food was good. They let us bring our whole family in because he was there over Christmas. And they gave us one of their little party rooms so we all could get together and have Christmas together. So that was nice. In terms of value for the money, Medicare picked up the tab."

"I am in Autumn Care. I chose it because it is the nicest place around. It is very clean, and they are very supportive. The whole thing is great. It is near the beach. It is a big facility. It is well run. They have a gym. I have seen them all, and it is best there is. They are totally great. I like it here. "

"This facility looks older than some facilities that we visited. However, the overall care my father received was much better than at the previous facility my father was at. The director of nursing was on the floor quite a bit, and she was available anytime we had concerns to address. The nurses & aides took very good care of my dad. They became like family to us during his stay. Sure, we had a few issues...we found some hygiene problems with an aide who was in too big of a hurry to clean up the mess she made after cleaning my dad's BM. We had an issue with an aide who was hateful to my dad too. Both issues were addressed quickly & to our satisfaction, however. The therapy staff was top-notch. They worked with us extensively to prepare for bringing my dad home. Don't be put off by the fact that the building needs updating throughout...staff make or break a facility. The staff made a difference for my dad! "

"I was a resident at this facility for therapy for about four months and it was a wonderful experience. I have been in many rehab centers and this is by far the best of them all. The atmosphere and the staff were all very friendly and caring, and most attentive to my needs. If my health requires more rehab in the future, or if someone else need s the help or care they offer, I would certainly recommend this facility kwhole heartedly."

"My daughter had a stroke. Liberty Nursing seem like had a good rating. She's only been in there for two weeks. So far so good and they seem to be okay. Her husband is there almost every day, so that helps a lot. The rooms are quite large and they're all private. She likes to have a private room. However, she's not crazy about the food. "

"I thought Brunswick Health & Rehab Center was excellent. The staff was extremely pleasant and easy to deal with. I met most of them that were available while I was there. It would be something I would feel very safe in leaving my mother in their care. I tried their food. They made me a plate. It was the same thing everybody else was eating, and the food was not bad. The dining area was like a communal dining room. Everyone there seemed to be in good spirits, so I was pleasantly surprised. The facility is definitely in a rural area. It's away from everything. If someone likes that, it would be perfect for them. They have a lot of open space. The residents seem to be extremely happy. It was clean. It didn't have any weird smells to it. I was very overwhelmed with what they offered. They keep the building up pretty well."

"I have been a resident for almost a year. I receive daily physical therapy. The PT Dept. is excellent. The therapists are professional, knowledgeable and caring. Rooms are more than adequate for 2 people. There are TV’s in every room and land line phones available in the rooms. The rooms include a large bathroom with shower. Staff members are well trained, knowledgable and helpful. Transportation to appointments is available. There are several nurses and a doctor on the premises . There are many and varied activities such as trivia, exercise, bingo, crafts and outings. There are plenty of outdoor spaces in which to walk and sit. Resident interaction is encouraged. There is a wonderful library/lounge where residents can choose from hundreds of books to read or play games and socialize. There is a common area where residents gather to talk and/or watch TV. Overall I give this facility 5 stars."

"Bradley Creek Health Center of Carolina Bay at Autumn Hall is a very nice facility. They are doing real good caring for my mother, and she loves the staff. We have seen it all, and we had no issues with them. She's been there for almost twenty days now, and she's actually improved in the rehab. They do a very excellent job getting her back on her feet, and now she's able to walk down. She got a private room. They have a calendar of events and various things that they do in the facility. It's quite extensive, and it's a beautiful place. She's on a special diet, but for the most part she's fine with the food."

"My mother who has Alzheimers has been a resident of Premier Living for over 3 years. Prior to PL she had been in several assisted living and rehab facilities. Of all of the facilities, Premier Living is definitely the best. No facility is perfect and residents have different needs. PL staff members have listened to me (as my mother's primary care giver) and have responded to any concerns/questions/changes that I have presented to them. I feel my mother is loved and receives good care from the CNAs, nurses, and other staff members. Premier Living certainly excels in its efforts to take care of its residents. "

"My mother was in a nursing home at North Chase (formerly Britthaven of Northchase) in Wilmington just a month ago. She just got out. She was there for rehab, but I was not happy at all with the nursing home. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. She won't go back there. The physical therapy people were amazing, but the nursing home part of it was not. The rooms needed repairs. She had to get three different beds before she got one that worked. The walls needed to be painted and had lots of marks on them. A lot of the rooms didn't look very nice on the inside. The only reason she was there was for convenience to me. It was halfway between work and home for me. She was there for 100 days. She had therapy for hip replacement. I know they're short staffed. I'd go in there lots of days, and the food would be sitting on her table; she hadn't touched it. No one bothered to open it up or help her open it. She'd be laying in bed, and it would be laying on a table by her. Her light would be flashing when I got there, and she needed help (she needed changed or something). I'd be there 30 or 40 minutes before I could find somebody to even come in there and help her. That was many times I was there. I came every day at lunchtime to bring her food."
