Reflections Assisted Living is not a new facility. I think it's been there for 20 years or so, but it is well-kept. It's an easy location to get to for visitors. We went in last weekend completely unannounced, and it looked spotless (for a weekend). I can't say anything but good things about the upkeep there. We have not been back to visit my sister-in-law, because we wanted to get her settled in first, but as far as I can tell, she's settled in very well. We were most pleased by the fact that the manager was able to work with the hospital that she was leaving by looking at her documents over the weekend so we were able to get her out of the hospital and into the facility within three days. That was one of the most important things to us, was getting there quickly. Now that she is there, we're very pleased with the place. Jordan and the head nurse have been very helpful to keep me updated about what was going on. The facility could have been a little more modern, but the truth is, even if the brick is not the shiny stuff that some of them are made of and it's not stories, it looks more like a home with a big door right in front. For people that age, I think they might like the fact that they don't have to go up elevators. It has a homey feeling inside.

Reflections Assisted Living was very nice. It was small, but they had everything. I liked the place where it was. It was a nice spot. It was very clean. They had a very nice outside area, like a courtyard, that was nice to sit in the shade because it was so hot. They have a nice cafeteria. There's TV. They do entertainment and even have a chapel, if you are somebody that's into that. It was nice, but I just could not use it because they had no openings.

Reflections Assisted Living was a small facility. I viewed it as more of a nursing home-type facility as opposed to assisted living. It was smaller, it had fewer amenities, and it was the same price as the other places. I was mainly interested in assisted living. I had a good visit there. I dealt with a young lady who was patient and knowledgeable, and I didn't feel rushed. It was an older facility and comparable in price to the newer facilities. It had fewer amenities than the other two that I had looked at. The dining room was small. They also had a porch out front and a courtyard out back.

We liked Reflections Assisted Living. It was wonderful there. It would've been perfect for my parents. They're excellent. I visited the assisted living, but their memory care section was really impressive, too. I liked the fact that it was religion based and it was smaller because by it being smaller, they could pay more attention to each one of their people there. It was very, very clean and very well maintained on the outside. I was impressed with the two-bedroom, but the one-bedroom was very, very large. The dining area was very nice and spacious. We had seen activities that they had done previously, but we were touring during devotions, so we wanted to respect their privacy with the devotion. The staff that I was most impressed with was Chelsea. She showed us everything, and she was so gracious and so nice to talk to.

Reflections Assisted Living was simple, very basic, very small, and low key. It looked clean, organized, and overall good. The person in charge was clear that there was not much to see. I think there were 18 rooms on one side of the building, 18 on the other side that was locked down, one main room to meet in, another study on the front, but it's not elaborate. It felt homey and the rooms were big.

The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. The food is inconsistent, sometimes difficult for older people to eat. Rarely serves fresh fruit, but portions are adequate. I am concerned there is not intercom system to talk to residents. They can call staff but the staff cannot ask if it is an emergency or not and sometimes the response time is longer than I would like. They staff is short at night, 2 people from 7 pm to 7 am. A person scheduled from 3 to 11 pm would help to get residents ready for bed. I wold like to see cameras so the administration can monitor staff after business hours and for risk purposes. The rooms are nice and large, and the staff is friendly.

Reflections Assisted Living was very nice. The people were very nice and helpful. The lady showed me around and explained how it works and how much it would cost. She was absolutely helpful and pleasant. The rooms were more like studios. They had a dining room and different activities. They had hairdressers come in also. I wouldn't mind my mother living there.

I didn't like Reflections at all. It was an older building, but the staff was very nice. The rooms were a nice size, and there were only 38 people in the compound. The dining room was nice, and everything happened there. One of the bathrooms smelled, and it turned me off.

My father was here and the staff and the service were a life saver to my mom who had been the caregiver for years. Although you are always reluctant to turn a loved one over to the care of another person or facility, it is sometimes necessary and after visiting other places, we immediately knew this was the only place we wanted our loved one to be. This facility is managed by a group of wonderful Christian people and my mother also knew them from church and the community which helped to make us even more secure with our decision. They were very personable and took great care of my father's daily needs. They are very concerned with the well being of all the patients and the facility is extremely clean;upon entrance, it is very homey feeling and decorated like a home so you will be proud of when people visit your loved one. I can't say enough positive things about the service they provided in a time most needed. My mother was at the facility almost daily and grew to know the staff and other members like family; there was no other place in Myrtle Beach, Conway, or locally we would have ever considered to care for my father so although it's never an easy decision, you can rest at night knowing your loved ones are here and well taken care of!

The help at Reflections seemed very good. They're very efficient help. They have some activities. I saw one room, and it seemed spacious enough. Reflections was a brand new building; however, they should paint their walls a lighter color. I think it made the place looked a little dark.

My wife is now at Reflections at Carolina Forest. It is only four miles away from me. They're good. They're great. I like the manager mostly over there. The rooms are private. They are nice. The staff is good too. Regarding food and dining room, they're pretty good, but they are not anything exceptional.
