"I lived in the area of Brightwater, and it was pretty easy to find. It was a little pricey, but it was nice and really attractive. It was well-done, clean, and nicely decorated. There weren't many people that I saw, but the staff was very pleasant to us. We looked at the house and the rooms, and they were both nice and a good size. We ate lunch there, and I had turkey, which was kind of bland, but they had a variety, and I'm sure some of it was kind of tasty. They told me what activities they had, but I didn't see anybody doing them. "

"We've been very happy with Lakeside Crossing. It's kept up nice and we have beautiful facilities. We've got indoor/outdoor pools, a workout room, a craft room, a community hall for the dances, and a library. Most of the staff here are very friendly. We just got a new manager, and he is very nice and has done a lot of upkeep on the place to make sure things are getting done. I am very pleased with him. They also have card games, music, and bingo for activities."

"Garden Manor had small apartments. There was a library and a small place in the back where you could plant flowers. They served one nice big meal a day. If you wanted something for later in the evening, you could get a box of food to take with you. They would come and clean once a week. They went on trips for shopping in a van. It was just what I needed. The people were very nice, very friendly, and outgoing. "

"We toured the Magnolia Bridge at Murrells Inlet. The two people who took us on the tour were good. They were okay, but they were rushed. We didn't see much at all. We did see one apartment, but everything about that was older. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's newer, but it didn't seem that way. We did not like it as much as the others. It was in a separate building. You go outside to that, and maybe there was nothing available inside the main building, but she'd told us beforehand that she just had a limited amount of time. So, we did not see as much as we saw at the other one. The atmosphere was okay. It was good. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't up to the quality and the atmosphere of others. The halls were narrow, whereas the others were wide and spacious."

"My sister is at River Park Senior Living. I found the facility attractive. The staff members were very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. Besides meals, they have an exercise program. They bring people in for entertainment. They got my sister a cake, and they had a little birthday party for her. They have a beautiful screened-in porch that they can sit on and enjoy the weather and flowers. The dining area looked like a little restaurant with tables. They have a menu posted every day, so they know what breakfast, lunch, and dinner are. From what I have observed, the meals look pretty good. It was not cheap."

"I like that the admission person here was very personable. She worked hard to get everything we would need in place for my father. They supply appliances, and my parents are going into a two-bedroom-two-bath apartment that has all the features of a kitchen like a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and all that stuff. They have a washer and dryer. The staff who gave the tour was awesome. They provide three hot meals a day, and the set-up is more like restaurant style so that when you sit down, someone comes and waits on you and serves the food to you. The building is beautiful. They keep it very clean."

"I toured The Lakes at Litchfield. My dad is moving there in the next couple of months. It was a very pleasant experience, and I saw a nice, very roomy, 2-bedroom apartment. I only met the lady that was touring us, and she was great. The food was very good. We saw the dining room, the outside, and the rooms available."

"Mom has been at Sunset Creek Commons for 4 years now. She has a really nice apartment there. She wears a medical alert necklace. The thing that I like the best is the manager and the maintenance help. They stay on top of things, and they are very responsive if there's an issue with the apartment. The place is very clean. They have a no smoking policy, which I like. If they catch someone smoking, then they are evicted. They go into the apartments twice a year to inspect them and make sure that people are keeping their apartments clean. If not, they are given a timeline of cleaning it up. They have a meeting room that they can use. Occasionally, they have a potluck dinner."
