Assisted Living Communities in Little River, SC

"I went to Myrtle Beach Grove Senior Living. It's the one that I eliminated because of distance. I liked that it was a smaller and older facility. It didn't have as many as amenities as the other ones that I had seen, but the price was comparable with the other two that I had looked at. My main reason for that one was the distance from my home. It was a big negative for me because I just didn't want to travel 14 miles to get to my mother. It was just too far. They had all the services there. My tour was very good. The gentleman took his time. He was patient. He showed me around, and he explained everything to me. I saw residents and staff members. The biggest thing was the distance from my home."

"I toured here. It was nice, but it was a little bit dated on the carpet. The staff was really nice, she said she'll call next week, and I haven't decided yet. The room was very nice, but I didn't like that it didn't have a stove, and I love to cook. The dining area was lovely. It's a very nice one story facility, I can keep my dog outside, and the outside is clean."

"The staff from The Legacy of North Myrtle Beach was excellent. Everything was clean and everything was in place. They were excellent. However, we chose the other place simply because we will save $500 a month with them."

"I liked everything about River Park Senior Living. I didn't try the food during my tour, but I ate there at a party, and the food was good. The staff answered all my questions. Everything was clean and in order."

"I went here and it was a smaller place. And they emphasized that since they were a smaller place, besides knowing everybody by name, they knew everybody. They didn't say, oh, it's the lady in 405, go check her out. They knew you exactly by name. The staff was very good. Everybody knew what they were doing. But they're just a little too expensive for the amount of money I have coming. The building was clean and the tour was good."

"Mom has been at Myrtle Beach Manor for almost a month now. The caregivers are very good. The rooms and apartments are very efficient and very clean. Probably the only complaint my mom has is the food; she says it’s not that good. They have bingo, Wii bowling, and outings like shopping. They go out to eat, and they have exercises or walking clubs. I think they could probably do more activities and have a better selection of food. I would recommend it. "

"How does one put into words the overwhelming appreciation they feel in their heart? That’s how my family feels about Coastal Pointe. There are not enough words to express our gratitude, our appreciation, and our love for all the staff at Coastal Pointe. They so lovingly took our mother in and made her part of their family. She felt loved and protected by each one of the staff. We cannot express the peace we felt knowing she was in such loving and capable hands. The food was excellent, housekeeping did a great job and those who handled her day to day care were outstanding. Every family wants to keep their loved ones at home. But in many cases their issues are better cared for by professionals trained to do so. Coastal pointe provided such a place and a place where our mother felt at home. We send many heartfelt thanks to each and everyone of the staff that helped provide above and beyond our expectations, the loving care they showed our mother."

"I was really happy when my grandparents moved here. With their health conditions and no family in the area, we placed them here based on the care that they would need. The first time I visited, I was completely blown away by their care staff and all the activities that my grandparents do! I felt so much better after seeing my grandparents knowing that they are loved, cared for, and comfortable at Brightwater! My grandmother is in memory care and my grandfather is in assisted living, but I see them both every time I visit! "

"My mom has been in Magnolias of Myrtle Beach for three months now. It was recommended to us by her physician. We shopped all around in the area and kind of decided on another one, but when we went to her doctor to get the TB test that was necessary before you go in a facility, her doctor said, "Don't decide on anything until you go see this one (Magnolias of Myrtle Beach)." So we went and had lunch there and talked to the director, it was so good that my mom wanted to move in the next day. We love the staff, the administrator, and everybody there. It is really great! We also love the location, the facilities, etc. We just love everything about it. It is just that good. I would recommend it to others, in fact, I already had. I'm really pleased with this facility. "

"Shallotte Assisted Living is an old but nicely maintained facility. It's awesome and closest to where we live. My father-in-law is extremely satisfied with the food, and he’s picky. He’s in a private, adequate room. "

"Hope Arbor is the best kept secret in Myrtle Beach. It is close to everything but the best setting to be quiet and serene. I love the rocking chair porches out back where you can listen to the frogs. "

"Reflections Assisted Living is not a new facility. I think it's been there for 20 years or so, but it is well-kept. It's an easy location to get to for visitors. We went in last weekend completely unannounced, and it looked spotless (for a weekend). I can't say anything but good things about the upkeep there. We have not been back to visit my sister-in-law, because we wanted to get her settled in first, but as far as I can tell, she's settled in very well. We were most pleased by the fact that the manager was able to work with the hospital that she was leaving by looking at her documents over the weekend so we were able to get her out of the hospital and into the facility within three days. That was one of the most important things to us, was getting there quickly. Now that she is there, we're very pleased with the place. Jordan and the head nurse have been very helpful to keep me updated about what was going on. The facility could have been a little more modern, but the truth is, even if the brick is not the shiny stuff that some of them are made of and it's not stories, it looks more like a home with a big door right in front. For people that age, I think they might like the fact that they don't have to go up elevators. It has a homey feeling inside."

"Can't express how grateful I am for the staff at Compass for helping my mother rehab and come home. Our experience was amazing, and everyone listened to my mother's needs and took their time with her. Facility is clean and food was great."
