"We went to Arbor Landing at Surfside. Their price range was almost in my category. It's still a little bit high. Everything they showed us looked excellent. The staff showed me everything I needed to see. The building looks clean and well-maintained. The size of the studio was 16 by 12. I wasn't looking for a studio because I like a separate bedroom. The cedar living room was 12 by 18. The bedroom was 12 by 12, and the closet was 12 by 7. I love those large closets because there's so much stuff that you always have left over."

"The staff from The Legacy of North Myrtle Beach was excellent. Everything was clean and everything was in place. They were excellent. However, we chose the other place simply because we will save $500 a month with them."

"I liked everything about River Park Senior Living. I didn't try the food during my tour, but I ate there at a party, and the food was good. The staff answered all my questions. Everything was clean and in order."

"I like that the admission person here was very personable. She worked hard to get everything we would need in place for my father. They supply appliances, and my parents are going into a two-bedroom-two-bath apartment that has all the features of a kitchen like a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and all that stuff. They have a washer and dryer. The staff who gave the tour was awesome. They provide three hot meals a day, and the set-up is more like restaurant style so that when you sit down, someone comes and waits on you and serves the food to you. The building is beautiful. They keep it very clean."

"I placed my mom in this facility during COVID based on the personal experience of a friend who had a family member living there. My mom lived there almost 4 years and I had to move her out to conserve her funds. She wasn't happy about that, but I did what we had to do. To sum up my experience, she loved it there and I moved her back one year later into the skilled nursing side due to her onset of Cancer. She lost her battle and finished her days in the very place it all began when I moved her here in 2020 from NYS. I can't say enough about the nursing care she was given. The facility is very welcoming and caring and my mom loved some of the caregivers that she remembered from day one. That meant a lot that she felt at "home" there. I drive by the Manor from time to time and want to stop in.....but can't. I will never forget this past almost 5 years. My last comment is this.....when it came time to have her placed in a SNF during her Cancer treatments, MBM was the ONLY facility that didn't treat us like an Investment! It does get difficult sometimes when family has the responsibility to take care of their parents. She ended up where she began and it was meant to be. I couldn't be more thankful."

My father is a veteran and she even directed me to the VA to apply for aid and assisstance which I didn't even know existed. But it does and she helped both my father and I very much. Thank You!"

"I VISITED THE FACILITY AND THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL WITH THE PEOPLE STAYING THERE AND SHOWED THEM THE REPECT NO MATTER HOW THEY ACTED ALSO ANSWER ALL MY QUESTIONS. VERY CLEAN FACILITY."

"Watercrest Myrtle Beach was stunning. It smelled good, and it was just gorgeous. They had a very attentive staff. They had a diverse food selection for different residents who may have different food needs. The style was more like a luxury hotel than an assisted living facility. It was very homey, very comfortable, and very welcoming. Everyone there was very engaged. Their chef made a dozen of freshly baked cookies for my parents that morning - 6 oatmeal cookies and 6 chocolate chip cookies as a welcome gesture. It was above and beyond, and they had them sent to my parents in the hospital. Where most assisted living facilities have a little eating area, theirs looked more like a restaurant. They didn't have specific hours where the residents could eat. Somebody would come take your order, and they would make you whatever you want."

"Reflections Assisted Living is not a new facility. I think it's been there for 20 years or so, but it is well-kept. It's an easy location to get to for visitors. We went in last weekend completely unannounced, and it looked spotless (for a weekend). I can't say anything but good things about the upkeep there. We have not been back to visit my sister-in-law, because we wanted to get her settled in first, but as far as I can tell, she's settled in very well. We were most pleased by the fact that the manager was able to work with the hospital that she was leaving by looking at her documents over the weekend so we were able to get her out of the hospital and into the facility within three days. That was one of the most important things to us, was getting there quickly. Now that she is there, we're very pleased with the place. Jordan and the head nurse have been very helpful to keep me updated about what was going on. The facility could have been a little more modern, but the truth is, even if the brick is not the shiny stuff that some of them are made of and it's not stories, it looks more like a home with a big door right in front. For people that age, I think they might like the fact that they don't have to go up elevators. It has a homey feeling inside."
