Wellmore of Daniel Island

I found a place for my mother. The place has been good. She is in memory care. It's very high end, it's a little expensive. She's a resident at Wellmore. So far everybody has been fine. Every Friday we get an update. She has a private room. They have all sorts of therapists. They have swimming and activities, they have an activity department. The facility is only two years old. Everything is impeccable and ample.

We have chosen Wellmore of Daniel Island for my mother-in-law. Well, she's from Daniel Island, and she's familiar with the area. She's still able to get around a little bit, and so we figured it wouldn't be a drastic change. Her friends could visit her; that's the main reason. It's also a very nice-looking facility. The staff was very friendly. Everybody introduced themselves as we walked through. They seemed very professional, and positive. My mother-in-law hasn't moved in yet. She'll be moving in next week. Wellmore of Daniel Island was excellent as far as physical condition. The dining room, the swimming pool, the TV room, the quiet room, and the sitting room were all well manicured, and clean. The staff was very friendly, and very helpful. Other than it being a little more expensive than the rest, I have no complaints about it. I think it's a fine facility. I was more impressed with the staff than the building, that's how good the staff presented themselves. The facility is only two years old.

Our experience with Wellmore of Daniel Island has been very good. I have not been allowed to go in because of the COVID restrictions, but it looks very clean. From what I saw, the people seemed pretty happy and well attended to.

All the staff has been professional and friendly. The dining staff is great and the food is usually pretty good. Sometimes the staff seems too busy, but they're always there when you need them. The bistro is convenient and a nice touch for the community.

I have been here for rehab (after orthopedic surgery) about 3 1/2 weeks. It doesn't get any better than this! People, staff, occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech path and basically everyone! Would definitely recommend 1st choice for rehab, after surgery or otherwise.

Wellmore of Daniel Island is brand new and very clean. You feel like you're walking into a 5-star hotel. They have a nice restaurant where they serve three very good meals a day. Residents are allowed to have snacks at anytime. I would highly recommend this community. It is working out very well so far. I'm really happy with it. All of the staff is very helpful and highly trained. They're not paid minimum wage. Every employee has a designated duty that they perform. They're also accessible and have their cell numbers listed right in their directory. They're always trying to get residents moving in some way and try to tailor activity programs for each patient because some can do more than others. They don't put them together and expect them to be able to do everything at the same level. As an example, my husband is in a lot of pain, so he can't really participate in a lot of their activities. I like that they're tailor-making activities for him. They got him in the pool a couple of times a week for his back and his broken hip. I'm really happy with the care.
