"We toured Best Care Senior Living at Saint Joseph for my sister-in-law. It was a nice facility. They took us through everything. The rooms and everything were nice. The staff was nice. It was a really clean place. It was a secure place. You didn't have to worry about the residents walking out of the facility because everything was well secured and locked, and they had cameras installed. It was a really beautiful place. They do a lot of craft projects. They do a lot of activities as far as getting the residents out and gathering them together."

"We toured Colonial Assisted Living at Tampa. It was very clean and pretty, but the rooms were a little bit small for two people. I have a sewing machine that I want to use, so I need a bigger room, and I have a double bed that I want to take. I like that they had a piano, their facilities are very good and the family room was nice."

"I am pleased that my mil is no longer there. However, it is to the credit of the staff there that her meds, were regulated and,she improved so much, she was able to go to a more independent facility. Thats,a good thing. The staff is very busy there, the, needs of the patients there are incredible. All the staff was kind and caring. The director, Sangeeta went above and beyond when my mil did not want to eat. She was, willing to go get her fast food if she wanted! It's not in the best locale but they were all very sweet people, as far as staff. "

"I moved into SeaCoast at Uptown Oaks. It's like an apartment. I have my own bathroom, that when I need to go, I don't have to wait in line. I have my own little kitchenette, that if I want to make coffee at 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 in the morning, I can do it. If in the middle of night I'm hungry, I can open up a can of soup, a can of spaghetti, warm it up in a microwave. The room is very large. It's like a studio apartment. They said they have three meals a day. The staff is really nice, hospitable, and helpful. Every time they see you it's always a good morning. They're very cheery. They don't have an attitude. The place is immaculate, and if you need something fixed, you have housekeeping, you have the maintenance man. You just go downstairs to the receptionist, you put in a work order, and they come and fix whatever problems you've got."

"We like The Colonnade at Carrollwood because the aesthetics were great. It's a really beautiful facility and there were a lot of activities. Everyone that we talked to was really happy that they chose to be there. The staff did a great job of engaging the residents. Everybody was very friendly with each other. They were very outgoing and overall, it felt more like a resort than a retirement community. I ate there with my father and the food was excellent. The menu choices were great. He's super excited to move there. They have bingo, poker nights, and Jeopardy tournaments where they travel to other assisted living facilities. Sometimes they'll come in. It's kind of a multi-facility tournament with Jeopardy. They've also got church services for multiple different denominations and outings. They've just got a bit of everything going on."

"I toured Sodalis Tampa for my friend. They were very good and very nice. The facilities seem very well run and they have rehab people there. They had doctors if they needed them. That place had like 120 residents. It looked more like a professional type of place. You brought in your bed and your dresser or whatever. They had a cheaper way of doing it because it was like two people in one facility where there are two separate bedrooms and then they have like a small area with a refrigerator and a small living area, I guess you'd call it a den. They had a courtyard, a library, and a rehab area. The staff was very good and very informative. They helped me a lot. The facility looked good. Everything looked good."

"I chose The Colonnade at Northdale because they are the best fit for my friend. It's very welcoming. These people are wonderful. The ratio is better. Better food. They got my friend up. He is walking and talking normally. He's not perfect yet, but the change in two weeks has been spectacular. I can't say enough about this place. It's wonderful. My friend has a very nice room. He can have his own furniture. But they also provided a package that we could use. He has his own bathroom and his shower. The dining room is nice, so he gets some socialization. They have been very responsive to any of our concerns. I've been there when he has been eating and the food is good. Nobody is ever completely as happy as they were at home, but overall, he is doing much better. The nursing director that's over that section is very responsive. She was very concerned when my friend first came in. She is good with the families and with the patients. We have had several people come in from outside that were very pleased, too. I think it's pretty good value for the money."

"It is a very big community. They have several floors. It is the best one I've visited. It's very clean and very well structured. The staff was very nice and seemed to be concerned about our situation. However, in the end, they couldn't help us because of my brother's criminal record in the past. The dining area was set up like a hotel. The private room was nice and roomy, and it had a bathroom. The residents all seemed happy and engaged in whatever activity they were doing."

"We are choosing Weinberg Village for my mom. It is a very nice place, and the location is ideal for the family. As soon as we walked in, we immediately liked it. The rooms were very nice. They had a couple of different floor plans available. It's a 33-acre gated community with a Jewish community center next to it. When you walk out into their garden area, there's a lake and it has a water feature in it. It's just very serene. The staff was extremely nice. They were all very helpful and welcoming. Everybody was very friendly. We just had that feeling that it was going to fit in. They were in the process of refurbishing everything, but it was almost finished when we were there. The building is 2 stories. At the end of each hallway is an activity area. They had bingo, cards, Rummikub, and entertainment once in a while. One night I was there, they had a saxophonist and it was very nice."

"Chapman Manor was good, but it was different in the way it was set up for memory care. They're locked in because memory care people tend to roam or leave, but the way it was set up was so obvious to my mother. They had a separate section, and it was behind closed doors and she did not like that. It wasn't bad. The studios were very nice and very clean. It was upstairs. They had assisted living upstairs also, but it was separate. It was a white door that had a keypad to get in and out, and there were no windows. You could not look into that section. The way the building curved, it was hard to tell anything except that you're going through this door that has a keypad on it. Mom wouldn't be able to get in and out by herself. She would always have to be with somebody, of course, but it was just so obvious to her. They had many things going on. Mom was assured that she would be able to participate in anything that assisted living was doing. Memory care had its things, they were doing, but also assisted living had its things, and the assisted living section was upstairs and downstairs. She thought she was going to be locked in and couldn't come out. That wasn't Chapman Manor's fault. They assured her over and over again that she would be able to participate in anything, but it's just how it looked to her, and once she saw it that way, that was it. You couldn't change her mind. While it was maintained well, it did kind of seem like an old building."

"The area of Tampa Gardens Senior Living was very well-kept. The young lady at the front desk greeted us with open arms as if we were family. They escorted us to different activities they have, whether it was bingo night or movies. The young lady gave us so much literature and information to take home. They showed us around the memory care facility, which was very well-kept and secure. My dad is a wanderer and likes to walk around, but we felt very secure that he wouldn't be in any danger or anything like that. The staffing was amazing. The place was immaculate. They have menus and so many activities that would keep my dad occupied and very busy. We even spoke to one of the nurses there who takes care of these patients with these needs. She was very, very helpful. She speaks multiple languages, which is fantastic, not only English, but she also speaks Spanish. Someone else spoke Filipino, which is fantastic. Somebody else spoke Hindi, who is very well-balanced. We saw the menu, which had a large variety. They had vegan choices and choices for special diets and special needs. It was a very nice menu that we saw. The dining area was very clean and organized."

"Having been through this process with other relatives, I was not looking forward to it again. However, Angels did an incredible job helping me. Dayna from the beginning and Angela throughout. They were amazing. There are clearly no words to describe how amazing Jennifer. She listened to me on my bad days after my father took his life, she laughed with me on my good days, and the main think was that she took care of the "little things" that my mother needed when others were too busy. She is truly an angel and I will NEVER forget her. "

"My friend will move into Brookdale Bayshore. First of all, the view is beautiful and every single room has a view of the bay. It's got a great outdoor pool, kitchen, and a dock that even provides fishing poles. Everybody was nice. It's a beautiful facility, and everything seemed just first-class. Anna's great, and she'd been my point of contact throughout the whole process. She's been readily available and has answered all my questions. They invited us to have lunch one day. We sat in on lunch, and they provided a glass of wine for us, and that was great. The menu options I saw looked extensive, and all of them sounded good. They do have a beauty salon. They have the library. They have a whole lot of different functions going on. They have live music and happy hours. They have outings where they go to different places."

"We have chosen Promise Point Senior Living for my mother. It's very nice, very clean, and well-staffed. Everyone there was very kind. We liked the particular setup for memory care. It was different than the other places and our mother was most comfortable there. She seemed relaxed. She was interacting with the residents when we were taking the tour. She responded to everybody around her, and that mattered to us. We sat and talked with Paula for a while before we went on the tour. We also went back, and we had lunch there. Once again, our mother seemed relaxed and comfortable, and she was responsive to people. The other places that we toured were very nice, but she did not have the same reaction. We have chosen a private room. They call it a studio, but it's just a large room with a bathroom. She can fit her bed, her TV, and her recliner. They had more activities than my mom is going to be able to keep track of. If she is bored or has nothing to do, that is not their fault; it would be hers. They have active attendance there. They participate in things. They also have many outings that mom can participate in. They have a physical therapist there. They have a room with stationary bicycles, and that would be excellent for my mom. They have a walking club. They take care of everything. I am also comparing it to a home that my mother-in-law was in, in Maryland. Every single other thing they charged her for, and this one doesn't. Things are all included. My sister and I were able to have lunch with our mother, and it was good. They had cookies, and they were excellent."

"Angels Senior Living at The Reserves Of Idlewild was a newer facility. I like the room for my wife. They were repainting everything. I like the lady who took me on a tour there, and it looked like they had everything that we needed. They even set us up with a preferred rehab specialist there, so it was pretty amazing. They had a rehab center. They had three meals a day. They had different levels of care. They had a bus to take people around, a beauty shop, entertainment, and activities. It was a modern facility."

"I can't say enough wonderful things about Angels senior Living at the Lodges. The staff is truly loving, caring and dedicated. They go above and beyond to make their residents feel valued and cared for. From the moment we first walked in, we were welcomed with warmth and kindness. The facilty is always clean and inviting and the environment truly feels like home. The staff is incredibly helpful, not only with the residents but also with family members. They're always available to answer questions or provide updates , which gives me so much peace of mind. I'm especially grateful for how they keep me informed about my Dad and Step Mom's care and daily activities. Knowing they're in such caring, compassionate hands means everything to me. I wouldn't trust my loved ones anywhere else. Angles Senior Living of Idlewild is exactly what the name says....... full of angels. Highly recommend!"
