Communities in Rancho Mirage, CA

"It is really nice. I would say it's like a five-star hotel. It's very clean, and the staff is very accommodating. The food is excellent, and the grounds are beautiful. It's just a very nice place. They have a swimming pool, a movie theater, a performance theater, a beauty parlor, and a full-sized dining room that's open 24 hours a day. They also do all kinds of trips. The staff is very nice and accommodating. I have no complaints at all. "

"I think Rancho Mirage was a comfortable, clean, and aesthetically pleasing place. All the rooms have beautiful views, either the mountains, or a beautiful courtyard. I think the staff and management were very nice. I think there should be more communication, and their nurses could be a little more attentive. It’s a great facility for rehab. "

"My mom was in Manor Care for around 5 to 6 weeks. I liked it; it was really nice. There was a lot of socializing for them and that’s what I wanted her to have. The staff was really good. They have Bingo, horse racing, cards and Friday night wine and dine. It was really active and I liked it. Her room wasn’t nice as I would have liked; there was an area where she was supposed to go that was nicer but she was able to come home before moving there. "

"EXCEPTIONAL SERVICES IN EVERY WAY!!! MY FRIEND OWES HIS LIFE TO THE KIND, PROFESSIONAL, AND BRILLIANT CARE GIVEN AT MONTEREY PALMS! IN JUST THE FIRST FEW DAYS, HE IS MUCH BETTER PHYSICALLY AND EMOTIONALLY! HIS QUESTIONS ABOUT HIS MEDICATIONS WERE ANSWERED PROFESSIONALLY AND IN AN UNDERSTANDABLE WAY - THIS MADE HIM FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE AND SAFE. BLESS THE HEARTS OF THE ENTIRE STAFF!"

"My 92 yr old father loves his new caregiver "Steven". The office staff found the perfect match for him. He was resistant in the begining, but now he has found his new best friend. "

"This facility is very clean. The staff does the best they can. Most are very friendly and helpful. This is a thankless job. If you want good care you have to be vigilant in your observations, ask staff about it and visit frequently. Most people don’t visit their relatives regularly. The food could stand to be improved significantly. Less processed food ( no one needs tater tots) would be a plus. Allow staff to have one meal daily as part of their compensation package and watch the improvements begin. How difficult is meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and a frozen vegetable medly? It’s cheaper to cook from scratch so find some cooks that can make real food. Mealtime is the only thing the residents look forward to. I know because I took care of my parents for 6 years. Why feed them crap? "
