"Bayshire Rancho Mirage and everyone there was just very nice. I got there early for the tour and they accommodated me. I toured the assisted living and it was very clean and bright. The apartment I was shown was a studio apartment. It was bright and airy, clean, and just very nice. The dining area was also very nice. They even gave me a couple of meals to take home, and the meals were really quite good. There was some exercise activity going on when I was there. I saw the restaurant area and it seemed pretty active too."

"My wife is at Rancho Mirage Health and Rehabilitation Center. I think it was Country Villas before. She's been there for a month and a half. It's a skilled nursing facility. Hospice was the ticket for me to get her there and they still come in to take care of her. This is much nicer, newer and brighter compared to the one she was before. The staff are helpful but because of hospice she's not gonna need much help and attention as she gets now. She's in a room with another patient. The room itself is okay. But there's only one TV. What I like best is its cleanliness. I would probably recommend this place, its better than 9 out of 10 out there. It could be a little better but it's not a bad facility. "

"My late husband and I have been patients at ManorCare. The facility has always been a place of comfort after Illness. I myself have been at the facility several times for Physical, Speech and Occupational Therapy and each time the staff made me feel like I was family, especially David (Admitting Nurse). There are so many wonderful nurses, nursing aides, therapists hat I cannot remember all the names ……kudos to all. Having the same physical therapy staff helps with the healing process. The staff is very friendly and willing to help make returning patients feel welcome. I would rate the physical therapy staff as excellent. Therapy is geared to individual needs. The cuisine needs improvement, being on a special diet a weekly menu would be nice to have on a regular basis. I would rate the cuisine as average. It has been a good experience during this stay at ManorCare. "

"This facility is very clean. The staff does the best they can. Most are very friendly and helpful. This is a thankless job. If you want good care you have to be vigilant in your observations, ask staff about it and visit frequently. Most people don’t visit their relatives regularly. The food could stand to be improved significantly. Less processed food ( no one needs tater tots) would be a plus. Allow staff to have one meal daily as part of their compensation package and watch the improvements begin. How difficult is meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and a frozen vegetable medly? It’s cheaper to cook from scratch so find some cooks that can make real food. Mealtime is the only thing the residents look forward to. I know because I took care of my parents for 6 years. Why feed them crap? "
