"I love The Carlotta; that's where I would like to go. It truly is a lovely place. It's cozy and small enough where you will know mostly everyone in a short amount of time, which is nice. I went over there for an art class one summer with two other friends and we all decided that that is where we want to go when we need that type of community. Everybody is welcoming. You feel at home. I know a lot of people there, which makes it nice, too. They have assisted living, outings, music, special wine happy hour, movies twice a day, art classes, exercise classes, and they'll take you to the church of your choice on Sunday. It is close to everything. When someone moves out, they redo the apartment to the new owners' specifications. You choose from what they have but you can make choices, which I think is nice. There is an open feeling in a lot of the units."

"After my grandfather had a stroke and complications, we had no choice but to find him a nursing home. After doing research and touring a couple other local nursing facilities with dismal results, I toured Manor Care and our decision was instantly made. In touring the facility, you can easily see the quality of care Manor Care gives it's residents. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and supportive both before and after choosing the facility for my grandfather. The facility was clean and attractive, the residents were clean, looked happy, and were well supervised. There were many social activities for those who were able to partake. As I waited for a tour, the residents and their guests in the lobby sung the facility's praises, one telling me she returns every time she has another operation. Manor Care made the process of admission for my grandfather simple. We visited continually, and each time he was clean, well cared for, and the staff knew exactly where he was and what he was doing. Impressive considering the size of the facility and amount of patients! My grandfather was notorious for trying to wiggle out of the bed, and Manor Care made sure that the staff was aware and padding was placed around the bed in the event he tried to get out of bed without help. They also made sure his bed was as low to the ground as possible to prevent any injury. That said, He rarely had enough time to try to get loose between staff supervision. They were great about keeping us informed about his care, his needs, and any issues that arose.He was eventually transferred to their Hospice care section as his health continued to decline. The staff there was equally supportive and attentive. They kept him comfortable and well cared for until his passing. They helped to make everything as simple for us as possible.I know we definitely made the right choice in choosing Manor Care for our loved one, and I can honestly say that if ever I had to be placed in a nursing facility, I would want it to be Manor Care. "

"Hello! My wife Lauren has on 3 occasions been cared for at Monterey Palms. Our experience could not have been better. Lauren was treated like the angel that she is. We've been married for 54 years. Staff for the most part we're caring and in some cases loving. Typically staff is reflective of a patient's attitude and behavior, admittedly some patients can be very stubborn and difficult to please and it may cause some negative results but Lauren's disposition is cheerful and compliant. We would recommend the Palms for the care of your loved ones. Thank you (Luz, the director) and staff, to my mind you are heroes. Doug"

"My wife is at Rancho Mirage Health and Rehabilitation Center. I think it was Country Villas before. She's been there for a month and a half. It's a skilled nursing facility. Hospice was the ticket for me to get her there and they still come in to take care of her. This is much nicer, newer and brighter compared to the one she was before. The staff are helpful but because of hospice she's not gonna need much help and attention as she gets now. She's in a room with another patient. The room itself is okay. But there's only one TV. What I like best is its cleanliness. I would probably recommend this place, its better than 9 out of 10 out there. It could be a little better but it's not a bad facility. "

"Bayshire Rancho Mirage has staff 24 hours a day, and so that's why we decided to stay there. The staff who gave the tour was great. She was very thorough, she was very nice and she sat and listened as far as our situation goes. She cares about what type of help we're going to need. They have other amenities that they offer, such as the car they have and someone that can drive us places. There are quite a few amenities that are included in the cost and the utilities are paid- which, if you live in the desert, is a big deal. Even though 3 meals are included, there's no stove other than the microwave, and the refrigerator is very small. Everything I saw there was well-kept, the place was clean, and they come in and clean it for you once a week. It's also pet-friendly. It's just a very nice place to live."

"My brother is at Desert Springs Healthcare and Wellness Center primarily for wound care. For me, the room is a bit tiny. It could be a bit bigger and more spacious for the patients; it is very tiny. There are two people in a room, sometimes three. But the care is great. He loves the care. He said the wound care is superb there. I like it and he seems to be very happy with it. They give him a list of activities, but right now he is just going to the church services that are offered. The care and the nursing staff seem to be really nice, sweet people. They need to modernize the facility a little bit. "
