"this was a wonderful facility! when my mom got there she was given a goodie bag filled with brand new supplies she got to keep, the room was very clean. smelled good too! the entire time she was given all her medication on time, every time and she was even given a wide verity of food she could have with her special diet. she loved the food, it tasted good and I could even order some if I wanted to! her favorite days were Fridays because they had donut social in the morning and in the afternoon they had popcorn and movies, every Friday! it was such a great experience for her! her and I would highly recommend to anyone ! staff was amazing, food was great, the actives director always do fun actives like bingo, ice-cream social, pretty nails(free) and first hair cut was free here too!rooms were always clean, there is stores around and restaurants we could take her to, this is in a clean beautiful area, what's not to like about it!! highly recommend!!!"

"The Forum at Desert Harbor was nice, but it just wasn’t what we were looking for. Everything was enclosed in a big building; you go up in an elevator to different floors, so when you come out of your little apartment, you’re in a hallway, not outside on your own little patio. The rooms were very nice. We didn’t really meet anybody, but the woman who showed us around was very friendly. They had absolutely nothing that would interest my dad. It was not something that appealed to us, but that doesn’t mean it was bad. "

"My mom was in rehab at Freedom Plaza Care Center for 12 days. I loved everything about the facility. I loved the cost-effectiveness of everything, no matter what skilled assistance they needed. You didn't have to buy any packages to go along on top of what was being paid every month. Some facilities start at a low range and then in the event that you need more, they give you the cost of packages. Whereas at Freedom it was all-inclusive, is what we were told. The thing that my mother did not like about the place was more of the food, but this was only her taste. She had to be on a heart-healthy food diet. Things did not taste as good as she had hoped, but then they had a deli or a little cafe in there that she had gone to, which she loved. They have a beauty salon. They have workout rooms. They do advertise a pool or a spa, but they do not have that installed because the pandemic has hit and they just decided not to open it. Everyone is friendly. The manager was wonderful in explaining things. He knew everyone's name. The case manager, the front desk staff, and, I don't remember the others, but the skilled nursing staff were on top of everything. They have a music room. They have one that has a piano in it. They have bands that come in sometimes. They've got a game room, a TV room, a movie room, and a gym. They have activities where they go off campus to wherever they're going to go. They also have rides to and from the doctors. They do not provide companions but they do assist with the rides to the doctor's office or appointments. They have bingo, puzzles, and games. It was just a friendly place."

"Freedom Plaza Peoria is huge. I think it has 7 stories and 8 dining rooms. I was mostly with the woman that was doing the tour, and we had a beautiful lunch with her. I went there with a friend who has moved there, and he is extremely happy with his apartment. It looked very clean, and it has very nice apartments. A great number of people that my friend knows live there and do like it. They were wonderful and very helpful. I had a good visit, but it was so far away from my church where I want to be by my friends, but for my friend who lives there, it is perfect. The thing that’s different about them is that if you need care, you had to move to another building, so you really make a huge change when you move from being independent to assisted living. It’s more in a business area where there are a lot of healthcare facilities around, a lot of doctors’ offices, and a lot of clinics, so it’s very nice for people who are not driving because they can get their care right around them. "

"I really liked it. Everything was as clean as could be. They had different size rooms -- all were very nice and had balconies. They serve 3 meals a day and you are allowed a refrigerator or a microwave in your room. The dining area was very nice and spacious. There was seating for four per table. The food was very good and in fact, the chef came out and we talked for a while. They have a bus if you want to go somewhere. "

"Excellent, professionally run facility. Lovely, large rooms. Caring, compassionate staff. The food was excellent and well prepared. Excellent Rehab staff. It was like staying at a 5-star hotel! "

"Banner Boswell Cardio. Rehab. is amazing. I entered a 12 week program in late September 2021 to build back my strength lost due to an aortic valve transplant in late July. Mark, Ashley, Jean, and Anthony all worked as a team to improve my strength and ability to function over 300% higher in those three short months. They are personal but professional with patients and keep the area totally antiseptic and all wear masks IAW COVID regulations. They were always flexible when a patient needed a day off (3 -1 hour sessions per week) to take care of personal business etc. We were given our own rehab. and diet packages to read and use in our daily lives. The rehab room is filled with at least 40 varied pieces of athletic equipment to diversify our training and were responsible for moving from one machine to another based on our own exercise charts that were updated daily. My wife had a decent place to sit while I was exercising so I'd have a ride home. I can only say I'm blessed to have chosen Banner Boswell for my cardio rehab. Best experience ever. Thank you. "

"My husband received excellent care overall, however, patients with mental health issues were allowed to roam the facility at night. My husband was constantly awoken by "intruders" at all odd hours of the night which escalated his already severe anxiety issues. During an emergency episode, the facility was able to get immediate transportation/care at a hospital for my husband and notified me immediately so that I was able to meet him forth with at the hospital. I was allowed to attend dinners, lunches, rehab classes, and other required therapies with my husband on a regular basis. I received constant updates from doctors, nurses and other practitioners regarding his care and ongoing progress and potential future struggles as it pertained to his ability to recover, which made my personal stress reduce and enable me to completed tasks necessary to prepare and sustain his recovery. U also had the ability to contact the facility if needed for home care and ongoing assistance with mobility and medicinal concerns. "

"The second of two facilities my sister and I visited while researching places for my mom to live was Baptist Village Sun Ridge. Although Sun City was a little further than we wanted her to go, we liked their Glendale facility so much, we decided to check this one out too. This facility was smaller and seemed a little bit more set up like a hospital type setting. The main lobby was a nice size and three staff were working the desk. All three were kind, smiled and asked if they could help us. Several wheelchair-bound residents were in the lobby area too, but appeared like they wanted to be there, enjoying the coming's and going's, perhaps people watching. One woman greeted us very warmly and reached out to squeeze my sisters hand. This facility seemed more capable of handling perhaps tougher problems and utilized a lot of rehabilitation and skilled nursing staff. The activity list we saw showed a wide range of different things for residents to do regardless of their strength and abilities. Nice open rooms, windows looking out into a grassy courtyard with lots of low trimmed bushes and trees. I really liked how the windows also had awnings. Allows the light in but manages to block some of the heat from the Arizona sun. At the time we toured here my sister and I realized that my mother didn't need a typical ""nursing home"" so we thanked the staff and left, but just a general impression after spending about an hour and a half here looking around, I feel it's worth checking out for anybody who requires a little more help with daily tasks, meals and so forth. Nice staff! Friendly too. "

"Immanuel Campus is a large facility with everything available from independent living to skilled nursing. The price stood out to us. It was older, well maintained, and horizontal, so there's more walking than in other places. The central building contained all of the activities. They're adequate, modest, and not a luxurious facility. "

"My mother is at sun view she has dementia and doesn't talk much so my sister and I have to be there alot besides we hav to keep on top of them constantly but now that we hav kept on them things r ok I must say there r 3 nurses who do their job well Jessica Michael and Eileen they go above and beyond The place is very old but r starting to remodel "

"I just spent approximately 8 months there recovering from a number of health issues the staff was amazing unfortunately they appear to be made to work extremely long hours with limited staff which is unfortunate. I would have no problem referring a family member or friend to this facility"
