"Arrowhead Valley Retirement Community was excellent in all aspects. If I were to choose, I think I would try to aim for them. It was clean and new. Everything is handy. You don't have to worry about anything. The maintenance guy was on site. Everything was just beautiful. It was just stunning. It's kept up well. The ladies in front are very, very nice. I love their inside, too. I like the sizes of the rooms. They all have their kitchen, refrigerator, and washer and dryer in every room. It's actually like an apartment. The person who did the tour was excellent. She was very, very kind and she answered all my questions. She wasn't rushed. She gave me a good tour, which I enjoyed. She was very nice. I think they're doing their job very, very well. It makes you want to be there. It was also very kind of them to ask me to stay for lunch, but I had another appointment."

"I just moved my wife to Inspira at Arrowhead and the level of care that I've seen and the ratio of caregivers to residents surpasses all the other facilities I've been to. The layout of the facility for memory care is very conducive to observation and activities. It's a very new facility. It's only 4 years old. The staff is wonderful. The directors are very involved in running the community, knowing the residents, and being accessible to me. So, they know the residents, which is nice. They just don't ship them in and forget them. When I brought my wife in there, they scooped her up and started her joining an activity right away. They have music about 2 to 3 times a week and they have pianos in every section of the facility. I saw once after lunch where they had a movie. Their food is excellent. It's freshly made. They have fruits and water out so the residents can have them if they want. They're very attentive and very accommodating to the needs of the residents. The facility is very clean, very modern, and very up-to-date. The activity room, dining room, and movie room are all in the center of the memory care area. They have three memory care pods and all their apartments are lining the outside. Therefore, if the residents are out and about, the caregivers can see them. They don't have to look for them down the hallway. They also have outside courtyards that they can visit and they're monitored to make sure they don't get sunburned or dehydrated or any of that. Some things are included and are not included in the price. Like the TV itself and the connection, they are free, but you have to pay for the WIFI for yourself and furnish your own furniture. They have a great connection with people that helped me furnish her apartment though and they did a beautiful job. It's the best place that I have ever seen."

"My mom is a resident of Solstice Senior Living at Sun City West. She likes it down there. When you walk into the door, the greeters are nice. The front desk and the kitchen people go around and greet all the residents, and that's good, too. They've got lots of activities that she enjoys. She likes the food. The nice thing about it is if you don't like what their main thing is, they give you options. They care about their residents, and they're always checking in to make sure mom's okay. The facility is very nice, big, and airy. She likes to play cards, bridge, and bingo, and enjoys using the bus to go out."

"I toured Thunderbird Senior Living. I did see their menu and everything seemed good. It's like an all-day kind of thing. It's open all day. The facility was clean and nice. I was impressed. It was very well-maintained. The rooms were nice. I'm interested in the studio, large, it was a pretty good size, and it'll work for me. The staff was very friendly and informative."

"I moved into LifeStream at Glendale. I love it because I have my freedom back. I can cook when I want to cook. I can eat downstairs when I want to eat downstairs. They take us shopping on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We can go to Walmart. We get to go to the Dollar Store, or we can go to Fry's on Tuesdays. Plus, we can go out to lunch at several different times of the week. They offer transportation. So, it's fun. They have what you need. They have a stove and a full-size refrigerator. They've been helping me move in and helping me get it cleaned. I love it here. They have two meals a day, breakfast and lunch. You can either eat in the bistro or the cafe. I have a feeding tube right now, but the food looks good. I sometimes order soup. This was the first place I looked, and I found the exact apartment that was right for me, and I knew it immediately. I have the only studio apartment on the 2nd floor with a balcony, and they have lots of outdoor spaces."

"Moving in from the rehab center was a breeze thanks to the staff. Lisa coordinated everything and made sure his move was great. The apartment is beautiful and comfortable."

"My mom is a resident of MorningStar Senior Living at Golden Ridge. The staff is very considerate and very helpful in everything. They give you a variety of food, but it doesn't taste like anything. It's bland. It's a good atmosphere, very nice, and kept clean. They had a lot of stuff. They do help her out on certain things. She did have a pendant that she pressed, and then somebody would come. The money was decent, and then they raised their rent for the first year, so that's why my mom had to go where she had to go."

"The Park at Surprise was beautiful. It looked expensive. It looked like a very high-quality place. The lady staff member was very nice and very personable. Her name was Shannon. She was awesome. I got to have lunch there that they prepared for me, and it was free. They have a very nice restaurant and a shop. They have a little bar there, and I got to eat in that area. There were other people that lived there that I could see, like the age group of people that would be my peers. I only had contact with two of the workers. One was a lady who gave me the tour, and the other one was the manager. He was coming in when I was coming, and I asked him for a walker, because I hadn't brought my walker, and so he went and got me one. He was very nice also. There were two people having lunch, and there were a couple of people in the pool area, so I didn't really see a lot of the activities. Nevertheless, I was quite impressed with the place. I felt very comfortable there, and if I could afford it, I was like, "Wow! This would really work for me.""

"I moved to Glencroft Center for Modern Aging. The people are so patient and understanding. They were so patient with me and helped me out and explained everything. So it was a very good experience. I've just been in my room. I'm still putting things away and getting set up, but I haven't gone out and used any of the other facilities yet. I've seen all of them. They look excellent. They were holding on the day I moved in, a Cowboy barbecue event. Things are going on all the time."

"This is exactly the place we have been looking for! My Nan seems to be very happy with the services and the staff. Food is delicious (sometimes we have it instead of wasting it in case Nan wants a change from their food). The staff are friendly and professional and just what you would expect from a place like this!"

"We toured Westgate Village, and it's beautiful, too, but it's different. It is more of a larger community. The one at the other facility was very homey and small, but the one in Westgate Village is very large, and their apartments are all out of this world. They are beautiful. They've got washers and dryers in them. They're nice, big apartments with full kitchens, too. Their amenities weren't nearly as nice as the other facility. They did have a movie theater area, but it had regular chairs, and the other facility had an actual movie theater. The amenities were very simple. It was nice, unlike other places, but the apartments in Westgate Village blew the other facility, like blowing it out of the water. They didn't even compare. So, as far as the apartment goes, it's way bigger and way nicer. Tracy did a great job. She's nice and very informative."

"My mother has been in Park Terrace at Greenway for two years now. She enjoys living there. She likes the people who work there. She likes the residents. She likes the apartment that she has and the activities that they have going on. It's just overall a nice place for her to live. She has a one-bedroom apartment. They have movie nights, and they have a little vendor thing that they do once a month where people can come in and sell their knick-knacks and stuff. They always have a lot going on for the residents. The staff is friendly and very helpful. I've never heard her complain about the meals."

"They were very pleasant and very helpful at Fellowship Square Phoenix. They answered questions. The rooms were adequate. They were nice. They had kitchenettes, and that was good to see. The kitchenettes were nice, too. There was a room that had books and stuff in it, and they had an activities room. Some activities would be held in the dining room if they were larger activities. The courtyard was smaller, but it was nice. It's a larger community, and there is a lot of independent living housing there. They also have a memory care unit. The inside was very nice, and we liked the fact that it was a guarded community. They have a gate with a security guard."
