"Mary’s place was secure. The first door you walk in and out of has a wheelchair entrance where you just have to push a button and the door opens for you. Once you get in the room, you sign in, and they have to buzz you to get out. I found the place very neat and clean, and the caregivers were very friendly and very encouraging. They go out of their way to do extra things. They had a piano player there for the patients or residents when I went in. They have an outside patio which was clean and secured. They have a washer, dryer, and a kitchen in there, they have the meals delivered, and they put it in the kitchen. It’s a pretty big place. My husband really liked it. "

"The staff at Benevilla is great. They seem to really know how to work with people with memory care issues. They're good at redirection and just communicating in general with both the family members and the client. My dad likes the food. They have board games and trivia contests, they have people come in and do music, and they've got an exercise program and a walking program. They keep them busy from the minute they get in the door, and that's really a great way to do it. The best thing is just their apparent ability to work with the population. They were very friendly and very helpful and had a lot of good suggestions. The people are very well trained. We have been using them for three weeks now. "

"My mother stayed at Lucy Anne's Place Benevilla Adult Day Care for respite care and their program for it was very good. It's a very nice facility, aesthetically clean and well organized. It's also well designed with a beautiful garden outside. There?s also a child care facility. They bring the children every day to sing and entertain, to lighten the atmosphere. There's animal therapy and arts and craft activity. Also, there's a restaurant in conjunction with all the food for meals and snacks. You feel exceptionally safe with your family member there. When they do the intake, they're very precise with the information of the individual, their needs and their personality traits so they can stay in the path of the person?s needs. They have transportation from the retirement community and has a late stage Alzheimer's day center in Sun City. "

"Both my dad and I were skeptical at first when our case manager referred us. We had never even heard of adult day care. (Our case manager pronounced it "Adel-dey-care," so I actually thought it was a fancy name for a spa or something). Even our first impression was critical -- it looked like a kindergarten classroom with construction paper art on the walls, the common area filled with books and games and puzzles. But after my dad's first week, we were won over. The whole team was above par, genuinely caring, professional, and trustworthy. All of them were so natural at going out of their way. Lala, Mikee, Leroy... I just can't name them all, but they were a true family and team. My dad attended Sunflower Day Care approximately 2-3 days a week from November 2018 until September 2019. He loved to jumble the name, calling Sunflower everything from Mayflower to DayGlow to Sunbeam. Bingo was part of the activities but didn't dominate. They made tea bags, exercised lightly, went on simple field trips, and had time set aside to discuss current events. Sadly, my dad passed away January 2020 after it became necessary to transfer him to a nursing home. I don't know the status of Sunflower's operation during this scary time with the Covid-19 pandemic, but I hope others could one day have as great an experience as my dad did. The overall experience at Sunflower was so uplifting during a very difficult time for us. Thank you! "

"The facility is okay as you walk in. The security guards and most of the aren't friendly. I witnessed uncleanly residents. Some of the disable and older residents are asleep for long periods in their chairs. When we asked a question to the staff most of the time they dont know anything. My relative keeps falling, it doesnt make sense why they would let that happen. They seem short staffed there is always a new face. The resident shared stories that staff yelled at him. My brother has tried to reach someone to talk about it. They just say ok we will take care of it but nothing happens. Also left message for the supervising nurse several times and the social worker but no one is ever around there. Transferring my uncle out. Disappointing how they treat the vets "

"I had to go to this facility to visit friend and I was not impressed. One reason why is because parking was an issue, there wasn't enough parking for visitors. Therefore I had to wait at least ten minutes before going inside of the bulding. When I finally found a parking spot I had to wait about ten minutes for someone to assist me up front to find the room location. Most of the staff members weren't very friendly, but when I made it too my friend room a nice staff member came by to assist us. This person made my visit with my friend pleasant because at first I was not pleased. Next, the facility was really old and needed some updating. I didn't really think it was a comforting place for someone to live. The nice part about was that my friend was getting ready to go to another facility. Therefore, I was excited to hear that she was because the air conditioning wasn't working well as well. In Arizona a air condition is needed in the very hot temperatures. "
