"I loved Adobe Country Gables, but my son didn't want my mom sharing a bathroom with somebody. I loved it but my son wanted her to have her own apartment. It's a group home. There's somebody that's there 24 hours a day with you. It was fantastic in there. Very bubbly and very happy-go-lucky type of attitude there. But my son didn't want my mom in a group home. The staff was great. I couldn't see any room because people were sleeping in it. But there was a lady in a open room, and I thought it was nice and comfy in there. The dining was a big table that people sat around like a family sit-down or something like that, which was fine. The atmosphere was great. "

"AZ Life Assisted Living LLC is beautiful. It's clean, it's vibrant, and uplifting. The residents all seemed very happy and their rooms looked bright, clean, and uplifting too. It would be a wonderful place to stay. I met with the owner, Effy, and she was wonderful. I would love to have my mother stay there but currently she only has semi-private rooms, and my mother needs a private room. Otherwise, I would have chosen her place. Effy also mentioned numerous activities in the living room that they have. They were cooking and I smelled the food. It looked like they took a great amount of care into preparing meals."

"Inspira Arrowhead in Glendale is beautiful, new, and well-decorated. It is gorgeous. It's like stepping into a resort. Everything is so well coordinated. The room I saw was great too. Everything is new, perfectly clean, with nice carpet, and a nice shower. I toured independent living, and the staff that assisted me was very kind and really helped a lot. She showed us everything, all of the activities, and the different things that they do. She also came to lunch with us; we had lunch there. It was very nice, and the food was good. They had a painting class where somebody helps you paint. They had a beading class and had a lot of reading clubs. They had a beautiful salt water swimming pool that interested me."

"My husband has been in Avista Sun City West for a week now. So far, so good. I'm not able to go in there, but I did a window visit with him. They keep me informed about everything that's going on, so I'm very happy. I don't really know the staff yet. The only contact I've had has been really good. I can't go into his apartment. He has a room there, but the window visit went fine. He seemed to like the food when I talked to him. I would say it's OK, but I've never seen any of the meals."

"I thought the staff did a great job of making the residents feel comfortable and as if they were at home. The facilities looked clean and brand new. There weren't really any negative aspects of the facility. I thought though that the staff could've done a better job of cleaning the toilets. There were a couple surprises left for me when I first entered a couple times. The people there are very friendly and know what they're doing though. They treat each resident gently and guide them in the right direction. I would probably send my parents to this facility when it's their time. I would also recommend this facility for anybody who is looking for an Assisted Living Facility. I've been to numerous facilities in Arizona, but I can honestly say that this one is top class and one of the best. I, myself, would love to live here. I haven't been treated with the respect they show in a while. It would be a great opportunity to reside there. "

"My mother has been living at Emeritus at Glendale the past two years. I was so surprised when I pulled up this site today to find the review from the volunteer. I visited about 15 facilities in the Peoria/Glendale area while looking for a place my mother could call home. Trust me after looking at that many locations I can assure you Emeritus at Glendale does rate STELLAR! I have never been there when the property was not a five star. The garden area in the middle of the building gives everyone a peaceful environment when visiting. The facility just received new decor this past year. It might not be what everyone might want. However, we have to remember that the decor is for the residences not visitors. I don't decorate my home for the visitors but for my family. I think the staff decorated this facility to make their residences feel more comfortable. I don't know how they are able to maintain the property and take such excellent care of their residences but everyday they do an outstanding job. I usually visit my mother at least once a week. I never let the staff know when I am coming so I can get a good picture of the care they are providing. I can honestly say that I have never been there when any resident wasn't being giving special attention. That was why I chose the facility in the first place. In fact, this staff becomes a part of the family. You might wonder how I can say that....well they know my mother's habits and behaviors so well they can tell when she isn't feeling well. I am immediately contacted when this occurs. I am shocked that you could come into my mother's home several times then say the MAJORITY of their worker don't like their jobs and are mean. That upsets me greatly because you have no right to come into our home and critize our family. I have never seen anyone at Emeritus at Glendale be mean to a resident. Emeritus at Glendale is stellar and their staff is the best or else I WOULD NOT have chosen it to be my mother's home nor would I continue to leave her in their care. My mother lives in a memory care facility...that is NOT a Nursing home. "

"My mother is in Brookdale Camino de Sol. They have a very caring administration. The caregivers are as attentive as time allows. They seem to be nice people. The room is adequate, and we are able to decorate in any fashion we want which is very nice. There is adequate space for walking indoor and outdoor. They have lots of activities. They bring in musicians. They have crafts, persons that bring in the animals, and there is always something going in. We always try to be there in between activities and meals. It's hard to find her. It is a busy place which is good, and it is good for her. "

"Thunderbird Senior Living had a nice community feel to it. It was clean and they offered a lot of activities. They were very friendly, knowledgeable, and very caring. They had a bunch of amenities, like a movie screening room, puzzle areas, activity rooms for things like crafts, a pool table, and an outdoor swimming pool. The whole floor was designed to allow walking to the halls. It was almost like in a big rectangle. They showed us a demonstration of what meal was being served that day, and it looked fine."

"My mom has been at Terra Pointe for almost 2 years. We never have to worry about her care, the people that work there treat her like family. We feel blessed to have found such an amazing place for mom!"

"I know two friends at Rock Creek, and their spouses say it's really good with really friendly and helpful staff. I went there to visit my friends, and it's very good. I had a snack, and it was really good. They have two different dining areas. There's one for people that need help more than the other, and the other was for the people that are able to help themselves a little better. They have people in there watching over everybody. The rooms are locked; people that work there have a key and can open any door they went. They have furnished rooms and a beautiful courtyard, so you can look out the windows and see the courtyard and trees. It's really pretty, and you can sit out there. It's also very clean. "

"My mother is in MorningStar Senior Living at Golden Ridge. The amenities were great, the physical therapy, the heated pool, and the extras that the staff was willing to do for her. The staff was very personable, very nice, and outgoing. They seem very genuinely concerned for her well being. I liked that a lot. There are activities all day, every day. Not only does the staff keep her engaged, but the other residents as well. They have what they call ambassadors that make sure they make it to her apartment to say, "Hey, we're all doing this, do you want to come along?" It's doing great. The kitchen is nice and clean. The food is really good and tasty, it just needs a little more variety."
