"I was very impressed with Plaza Del Rio. I did volunteer work at this assisted living facility for a couple of months. When I was there learning and working along side of the employees, I learned a lot. All the workers there seemed like they were personally involved with each of the residents currently residing there. The residents always came first. It was very important to the employees that if family of the residents have not visited, that they sat and talked to the people to make sure they were comfortable and doing ok. The residents always come first to the employees of Plaza Del Rio. "

"Freedom Plaza is probably one of the best ones around because where we were the last time was horrible. So this is a step up. What I like best about it is the cleanliness of it. When you walk in, you don't smell urine like you do at so many others. Also the competence of the staff there is higher. That's all the staff, including the therapy staff and the nursing staff. They are a lot more knowledgeable. The rooms are fantastic. My wife was first in a private room because she had MRSA and they were worried about it, so they had her in the private room for isolation purposes. Later on, she went to a semi-private room, but they only had her in the semi-private room, and that was nice too, that she was by herself. Regarding food, if you're a diabetic, that's not the place to be because they're really not set up for diabetics. That would be the only downfall; however, I would definitely recommend them. "

"My father was admitted to this facility after being in and out of the hospital for the previous 6 weeks. Upon admission, he immediately began to recover from him malnutrition (caused at a competitor down the street) and physical deterioration. His diet was closely monitored, he received immediate OT and PT and he began to flourish and has now been discharged. The CNA's & LPN's are quick to respond to the patients needs with a smile and loving concern. I highly recommend this facility and care team! "

"My mother is at sun view she has dementia and doesn't talk much so my sister and I have to be there alot besides we hav to keep on top of them constantly but now that we hav kept on them things r ok I must say there r 3 nurses who do their job well Jessica Michael and Eileen they go above and beyond The place is very old but r starting to remodel "

"I visited LifeStream Complete Senior Living at Sun Ridge. The living quarters were small but very nice, and they had a little Jacuzzi outside. It's something I might go back to, but I had a lot of furniture and decorations that could not fit in a small place. The place was elegant and very nice. "

"Immanuel Campus is a large facility with everything available from independent living to skilled nursing. The price stood out to us. It was older, well maintained, and horizontal, so there's more walking than in other places. The central building contained all of the activities. They're adequate, modest, and not a luxurious facility. "

"My husband is in a skilled nursing facility called Center at Arrowhead, LLC. It's a good place. It's clean, and he is well taken care of. The people do their job well. He's been there almost three weeks now. They cannot do therapy if he has pain in his leg. He's the only one in his room. It only has one bed. The whole building and the surrounding area are clean. The inside and the outside are clean. The people working there are clean. The bathroom is clean. The staff is good and friendly, and they care for my husband. The meals are also good. Everything is OK for me."

"Cook Health Care was a nice place. My mother was there three months. The rooms were small, but she can move her wheelchair. She was able to use the sink, wash her face, and brush her teeth with help. They had very loving staff. The food was excellent, and they had several choices. The care and the activities were excellent. "

"I toured LifeStream at Youngtown. It's a faith-based place. They have prayer studies, Bible study, and prayer groups. The office building was in a different section than the apartments. They have assisted living apartments and they have independent living apartments. They have a bunch of chairs, like, recliners, all lined up with nice leather recliners in front of a large TV, and the food smelled delicious. It was a Friday and they were making fried fish. They could cook well. I mean, I didn't eat the food but I could smell it, and it was clean and it didn't have any smells. I saw the room and I wasn't sure if they'd let me take my cat or not. They let you have pets in the independent part, but they don't let pets in the assisted living part. I'd have to get special permission for that. I didn't like the room. It was too small. It was a tiny little room and it had an air conditioner unit. It would probably be noisy if it was turned on, and I don't like it. The staff was very exceptional, very nice, and very sober. They have a beautiful outside area where you can go down, and there's like a little mountain there and like a field. It's really widespread."

"My husband was in Encompass Health Valley of The Sun Rehabilitation Hospital before. I would highly recommend that place. It was wonderful. I would give it a five-star rating. The facility was very clean. They kept the landscaping looking really good. The food was good. The staff and everybody that we were in contact with was very professional and very good. With the food, they had a selection so you had a choice. It was always good. It wasn't mom's home cooking, but the meals were well-balanced. The facility was well laid out, so it was easy to find your way around."

"The staff was outstanding. However, Good Shepherd didn't have assisted living, so you'd have to move again if you needed that. I looked at a room where a person moved out and they re-did it all; they painted it and cleaned it. The food was good. They had swimming, cards and bingo, and they had a library and a room where they put puzzles. I was there for rehab, and that's how I first got introduced to them, first time for two weeks and the second time a week. If I had to go back, I would go there. "
