"Torrey Pines Rehabilitation Hospital took extremely great care of our mother. We traveled from out of town and just showed up, without an appointment and we were never disappointed when we arrived to visit her. The co-workers were all very friendly and compassionate about her rehab care. Some co-worker stated that they,"treat her like their mother or aunt,"due to her outgoing and funny personality! The Leaders and Administrators are doing a wonderful job at Torrey Pines Rehab and we plan to visit them again, when we visit Las Vegas, NV. "

"This is a facility that has had a bad rap previously. The new management team that is there now has made a world of difference. I am very familiar with this facility and have seen it in. It’s dumpiest stages to where it is now. The new nursing management team and the administrator have taken great pride in making this a better facility. I am very thankful to be here. "My wife is currently a patient at this rehab facility and has received very good care from the entire staff, which includes nurses, certified nurse assistants, physical and occupation therapist, as well as others. I have been pleasantly surprised at the variety and quality of the patient’s meals. Eunice, the head chef frequently will add special touches to the food prepared, which makes the meals even better. I should note that there is alternatives to every meal."

"The Life Care Center is very clean. They have a good staff that treat the people very nicely and is attentive to them. I have seen the rooms, and they were pretty good. The residents are happ,y and they do not even want to leave the facility. "

"My wife stayed at Spanish Hills Wellness Suites. Our experience was very good. They had her in a private room. They were very conscious of her needs. She was happy with the food and with the place. They started medicating her and she seemed to come around. We didn't believe that she was coming around. We thought she still has dementia and we were looking for another home to put her in because from what I understand, it wasn't a long-term place for her. She was fighting to come home and they did some more evaluations. Her last evaluation was that she could come home because she said she could do things for herself and they went along with it, and they brought her home to my surprise. I didn't know she was coming home. They sent her with all the medications she's been taking. She liked the nurses. She liked being able to walk around and socialize with some of the other patients. She called up the kitchen and told them how happy she was with them. The facility was very nice. They had a gym there. They had a physical therapist who took her to the gym. They had social workers there, a doctor, and a psychologist. I have no complaints. The only complaint I had was, I can't even say it was a complaint, they decided that she was ready to go home, and we weren't ready for her to come home. I was surprised."

"My sister was at North Vegas Care Center for 20 days when her insurance said they're not paying it anymore. So I paid them $1505 for 7 days to keep my sister there. She would have someone that would come into her room and work with her to do just like physical therapy. Well, she was there for the whole week, and we never had it. On top of that, my sister got an abscess on her belly, and over the weekend, nothing was done. I found out then that the wound doctor only comes in one day a week. Food was atrocious. The place smelled. It was absolutely terrible. They helped my sister get on a port-a-potty by her bed, but they left her sitting there for an hour. They were overworked, understaffed, and underpaid. There was a lot of them that had no compassion whatsoever for the residents. There were some that were very nice, but they were fewer and far between."

"My sister was in College Park and they were real good with her She loved the food she had a big room. Liked the nurses, if she needed something they usually got it to her as soon as they could. They were good with her medication. She had dialysis early in the morning they made she she got there and back and also sent a sack lunch with her. If an emergency same up they called me immediately no matter the time. My sister could be very difficult and was hard to please, didn't always do what she was suppose to ex: twice she would try to get out of bed by herself to use the rest room and they found her on the floor she couldn't make it back to her bedbut she wasn't hurt either time and found her right away then called me to let me know. I have nothing bad to say about this place. And for her to like it and not walk out says everything. (She walked out of almost every hospital and home she was in. )"

"Marquis Care was the first one I went to so not having seen the other places, I liked it. It wasn’t homey but it was clean and the people were very nice. I thought it was beautiful but it was very much set up like hospital rooms. Some people were with one of the director ladies and they were doing activites, which was good. "

"My experience with Gaye Haven is great. My family member is doing real well there. It's wonderful. I visit all the time, and she is OK. They're real good. It's a very small facility, but it's nice. "

"The place had NO SOAP, NO PILLOWS, NO WATER WITHIN REACH IF THERE WAS ANY IN THE ROOM AT ALL . The facility has no clue of what is going on! There was no reporting , documenting , charting , except the info for who is paying the residents bill. They have a excellent policy of passing over any questions you have . I could never get any answers , I never smelled any food being prepared , no one could tell me what was for dinner or lunch, the patients are cleaned with a rough towel and water ! The band aid that was on my grandmother was dated 8 days prior . So It had not been changed . The lady that was allegedly was the supervisor on the floor , REFUSED TO GIVE ME HER NAME , AND ANYTHING THAT WAS QUESTIONED REGARDING MY GRANDMOTHER , SHE JUST KEPT SAYING THE NEXT SHIFT WOULD DO IT , PURE LAZY ! The lack of physical therapy is NEXT TO NONE IN THIS PLACE . The facility is severely understaffed with incompetent people I wouldn't even let pet sit ! The CNAs are overworked due to LAZY Supervisors, AND THE Quality OF CARE AT THIS PLACE COULD BE COMPARED TO SOMETHING IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY . No living human being should be treated like this . The residents have nothing within reach in there rooms , if at all. Don't let your loved one live here ."

"My husband has been in Advanced Health Care of Summerlin off and on for a couple of months. It's a wonderful facility. It's like a luxury hotel and all the rooms are private. They are very skilled. The food is great. They give him physical therapy everyday except for weekends, and he also gets occupational and speech therapy. He's in his own room in a regular bed. "
