"I'm moving into The Forum at Tucson. My daughter did all the tours, so I didn't look anywhere else. She loved it, and I thought it was very, very nice when I went there. The woman who showed us around, Leslie, was wonderful. She spent a lot of time with us and showed me what rooms were available. The rooms had been redone, and everything was new in them. They were nice enough. They had put a new fridge in, but they said they would look for an icemaker, so I'm hoping it's out there. It's just a one-bedroom, and I have flooring put in rather than the carpeting, which I had to pay for. You can do what you want basically. This one had a couple updates in it. There was another one, exactly the same setup, but the one I picked has a big tree in front of it and it really is beautiful. It'll shade some of the hot sun and it's just so pretty to look at and gives you privacy. We walked through the dining area and there's another room there that you can buy or get sandwiches. You get two of your three meals. It was decorated for Christmas, so it was beautiful inside. My only problem with it is I'm not going to get a parking spot close to my apartment, but the staff did say they had covered parking. I've seen the menu and they had just about everything you could want. It was beautiful inside. I did meet one of the staff member who fixes things if your lights are out or if there's a problem. He was funny and very nice."

"My mother went to HealthSouth Rehab, and they were fabulous. Our experience was very good. They were well staffed. I wish she could have stayed there. The rooms were small, but they were clean, and the bed was comfortable. The food was good. "

"My wife was in rehab with these wonderful women caregivers who truly love to help these poor elderly and handicap men and women to get better and my wife is moving around better because of the Pueblo springs rehab center yes the place is clean "

"My brother is at the Foothills Rehabilitation Center, and this place is very good. All the employees and staff members are very professional and caring at the same time. You can tell that it's not just a job for them, they care about the patients, and that's the most important thing. It's a very clean facility, I love the way that for instance, they have things like an ice cream social. They have a big cafeteria for everyone, they can eat all together there versus eating in their room where they're isolated. So my brother eats in the cafeteria three meals a day and they feed him very well. For instance, today he had waffles, bacon, and eggs. I have not tasted it, but I have seen it and it looks pretty good. I think they try to keep it low in sodium for the most part."

"The staff is extremely caring and always made the time to care for the patient needs. The facility is a little older but the care that was provided, well made up for it. The therapy department is wonderful and helps patients get back on their feet so they can go back home. They have an activities department that runs games, social times, and various other activities to help pass the time and get patient's out of the room. Beautiful dining room and courtyard. Doctors come to the facility daily. 10/10 would recommend. Nice 5 star facility."

"Helen and her husband Sonny have been in the care business for quite some time, and it shows with how they run their facility at North Alamo street. In addition to their Care Home there, they also host a certification school in a separate outside room where they hold classes for caregivers and Care Home Manager certification. They are always willing to make accommodations for their guests as well as their students, and the residents there all looked healthy and care-free. Despite the busy atmosphere, they are genuinely friendly outgoing people who believe in the golden rule. Whenever I would visit, I saw them treat everyone with the same level of concern and warmth, regardless of what they were there for. I sincerely hope they stay in business for years to come, and that some of their attitude rubs off on their students. "

"My mom stayed at the Avalon (shadow Mountain) facility in Scottsdale, and the staff was very helpful. The nurses were great. The facility was clean and pleasant. A good experience after she broke her hip. "

"Room was a nice size and well-worn, somewhat like a motel room that has been well-used. There was no reading light for my wife at her bed. One was torn off the wall, the other did not work. Staff such as nurses, nutritionist, PT, OT did a very good job and were caring and professional. The management was neither. The head "case manager" was not at all patient oriented, and not interested in the least in involving family in the decision-making process. The social worker was for the most part invisible. Surprisingly the food in the dining room was better than most corporate chain restaurants such as Olive Garden and Cracker Barrel. The selection for patients was very nice and the quality of food provided in the patient's rooms was very good in our experience. The dining room is a very comfortable place to eat with your patient. Do not expect an individual program plan to be provided to patient or family members or any transparency on the part of management. The true professionals such as PT and OT do very well in that regard and communicate regularly with patient and family. Kudos to them."

"I am staying at the Life Care Center of Tucson. They're really warm and very helpful. They're there for you in anything. They anticipate what you need before you need it. There's a fantastic staff here. The only activities I do right now are physical therapy and occupational therapy to strengthen my body and legs. They are definitely helping me get my legs and arms stronger. Their therapists are very good. I have a single room. It's very clean, and it's cleaned daily. I have a running fountain outside my window and a little garden. They are shorthanded and need help. They need more therapists, doctors, and so forth. My insurance takes care of all the payments."
