I work with the patients from Avalon when they get transferred to our hospitals and have had pretty bad experience with Avalon. Most of the patients who get admitted to our hospital from Avalon (which is quite a few) are in very bad health condition. Many of them seem to have been ignored by the facility. Have seen patients who have had sepsis, bacterial infections, pressure ulcers, dehydration etc. Its truly sad to see something like this as it feels inhumane. I am not sure how this facility escapes any kind of inspection and passes the basic regulations.

My mom stayed at the Avalon (shadow Mountain) facility in Scottsdale, and the staff was very helpful. The nurses were great. The facility was clean and pleasant. A good experience after she broke her hip.
