"I went to see Villa Hermosa, and it was first class. It had everything. I like the way it was designed and the way it was built, it's a very high-quality property. Everything was done to a T beautifully, with high-quality materials. Just the whole feel of it was very elegant. The salesperson, Anna, was lovely and showed me around. She had a nice welcoming package for me with a little candle and a little map of a place where I was going hiking. I told her I was a hiker, biker, and skier, so her attention to detail was superb. This place was by far the best in every way possible after. But they don't have a monthly rental, and you make a total commitment, move and live there, and it's your new home. They followed up and invited me to dinner, even though I wasn't able to go."

"I am staying at a 55+ apartment called The Place at Wilmot North. I have been here for a couple of months. They have a pretty good schedule of activities like weekly outings, and they have a van that takes you to the store. It is strictly independent living. We have a pool and a Jacuzzi."

"I've been in Carefree Village Estates. It looked very friendly online. The staff member that I worked with is fantastic. They've assisted me with trying to get into the place and worked really hard with me as far as finances. The whole moving experience was made easier by them. They've gone out of their way for me and really, really helped me out. They're not serving food, but they have activities here. There's arts and crafts, a pool, and a billiards rooms. There are some fun activities. They try and get people involved. It's a really good experience. The whole property is very well kept and really, really nice. I have a beautiful home for $1,150, which is huge, with washer-dryer hookups. It's a two-bedroom. It's really, really nice."

"As people grow older it is not uncommon for them to need some help and assistance with their lives. Living a continent away our sons expressed their concerns for us since they would not physically be in a position to help when needed. Thus, we have considered our move into the Hacienda at the Canyon to be a "Gift to our children." "I visited Broadway Proper. The decorating style was a little bit of 50s and 60s decor. It's been updated, so it looks very nice. They have a wonderful pool area. There was activity in the lobby, so it was very nice. It was very active. Lots of people had dogs. You could see people walking their dogs coming back in and out. Brianna's been in contact with us a lot, sending us information and stuff. She's been very active in trying to recruit my mom."

"I chose The Fountains at La Cholla. It had the best depth of menu selection and excellent quality of food and service. A very active activity schedule, very deep participation in activities, lots of engagement from the residents, professional, and friendly support. They do have a card room, an art room, and a library. They have a recreation area. They have a puzzle area, a music and entertainment area, and a cafe. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and professional, and went out of their way to be supportive."
