My relative is in a spacious one-room apartment. They serve two excellent meals a day. We're very happy with this place. "

"Silver Springs was a very nice facility. I was impressed with everything there. It was a very large and beautiful campus. The staff that gave me the tour was very nice and very informative. She kind of knew that this was not going to be the best fit for my aunt, but she was very helpful and gave us a lot of information. She even gave us some ideas on what we needed to look for moving forward. I was pretty pleased with her."

"We have our own home at Voyager RV Resort & Hotel, but it's a 55-plus community. You can have your own RV and rent a site, which is how we started. They also have park models that are available and we bought a park model and lived in that for a couple of years. When we decided to move here full-time, we bought a two-bedroom plus a den home that is a manufactured home. It's a big community. The staff is good, but it's changed. We have a new general manager here now and he seems to be helpful. They have many facilities here. There's an onsite restaurant, pickleball court, shuffleboard, anything you can imagine that people might want to do, woodworking, stained glass, and there's a wonderful silver-making group. There's a ballroom that's used for many, many things including shows and that sort of thing. It's pretty all-inclusive. The only criticism I would have of the Voyager is that it's quite a ways to drive to a grocery store or places like that. We're on the edge of town and in some ways, that's a good thing, but in some ways it makes more driving to get your staples and things like that. There are a few things I would like to see them do a little differently. We've been coming here since 2006 and we've lived here full-time for six years. Overall, it's an excellent resort. I think overall the staff has been excellent. They hire people who live in the park and a lot of outsiders as well. Our interactions have been fine. It's completely independent. There is a restaurant onsite. Other than the fact that they have potlucks and all kinds of activities like that, there were no meals. They don't serve food. They keep everything very clean. All the public restrooms, the swimming pools, and everything are immaculate. There are so many activities. There are a few things that are probably a little overpriced."

"I am pretty happy at Echelon. The facility is nice and well taken care of. I have met some friends here, and I guess I’m doing OK. The dining room is very clean. They have things like bingo and domino. "

"I’ve lived in Desert Pueblo Mobile Home for 13 years with my husband, and I would say it’s one of the best that Tucson has. They have a lot of rules, but they follow the rules. It’s very nicely manicured and kept up. We have two pools, two clubhouses, and a lot of activities. It’s not in the best part of town but we are all completely fenced in. We’re one of the last parks to have 24-hour guards at the gate. "

"My whole experience visiting Broadway Proper was quite pleasant. I took my mom there, and we were invited for lunch. The financial representative was very friendly and helpful. As a matter of fact, I'm still in touch with her because I think that's the choice we're going to go with. They have one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and studio apartments. My mom would not need the two-bedroom, but she was interested with the one-bedroom. The food was palatable, nice, and good. They have a menu, and the food was prepared daily. The place was very clean. "

"I am staying at a 55+ apartment called The Place at Wilmot North. I have been here for a couple of months. They have a pretty good schedule of activities like weekly outings, and they have a van that takes you to the store. It is strictly independent living. We have a pool and a Jacuzzi."

"The Cascades was clean, the rooms were large, and they had a private bath and a refrigerator, and it was staffed adequately. This was the only place that I visited where I felt comfortable putting my wife. It was excellent. The staff was very professional, well-trained. and caring; they treated her with kindness and understanding. I don't think I could have made a better choice. I don't know what their full range of activities was, but for the memory care unit, they had games, people coming in to entertain them, TVs, and all sorts of things. They would play balloon volleyball and things like that. I was very, very happy with the place. They were wonderful. "

It is very affordable and the price is right. Everybody I talk to is pleased with the place, and they told me it is best decision they make. They are happy to be there, nobody has any complaints. It is amazing! The dinner is excellent. They treat you very nicely. They have an elegant dining room. They are nice, open, and they offer a lot of stuff. It has four swimming pools and lots of activities like exercise. She's very happy there and she didn't want to move. "

"My mom went to Handmaker. Overall, it was good. I actually was able to stay with my mom there the whole time. They provided a cot for me. Initially, we had some issues with the staff just providing my mom pain medications. I felt like they were short-handed. At first, I would tell them my mom needed medication and they were telling me, “Oh, we have reports to get done.” But after that, they were very good. Everything about them was great. The food and the service were good. They were very helpful in getting my mom on hospice. The living facility part was great, also. "

Club House, active Activities Board, daily coffee and newspaper, fenced heated pool and hot tub, well-kept secure grounds, dog park, garbage pickup at the door twice a week, two potlucks a month, monthly Koffee Klutch, flat enough to easily walk, native plants and wildlife, plenty of parking, convenient location, inexpensive."
