"I think the management team at Echelon of Tucson is first rate. Lisa is great. The chef there goes above and beyond trying to make sure that if you have any kind of food allergies or food sensitivities, he's right there with you changing menus up. He even gives his home number so if something goes wrong in the kitchen or your order does not come in when it's supposed to, he actually makes the phone call to the kitchen. I have never seen a more responsible group in my life. In terms of facility, the facilities are not new or anything, but they're nice. They have a beautiful dining room. They have a coordinator who tries really hard to get people to still do things, even during the lockdown. Everything I'm going to say about the Echelon is nice. If I'm going to have any negative thing about them, it's going to be that the elevator is really noisy, but that's it. In my personal opinion, it's the personalities and management responsiveness that, I think, are the most important things, and their staff is excellent. Because of COVID, they have to literally cart around the food, so if you're not in the first building, your food is probably not warm. I do know though, because I've been there before when there was no COVID, that the food is excellent in the dining room. Because of COVID, however, the food right now is sometimes cold and not as exciting as when you're able to sit in the dining room and eat."

"I’ve lived in Desert Pueblo Mobile Home for 13 years with my husband, and I would say it’s one of the best that Tucson has. They have a lot of rules, but they follow the rules. It’s very nicely manicured and kept up. We have two pools, two clubhouses, and a lot of activities. It’s not in the best part of town but we are all completely fenced in. We’re one of the last parks to have 24-hour guards at the gate. "

"I visited Broadway Proper. The decorating style was a little bit of 50s and 60s decor. It's been updated, so it looks very nice. They have a wonderful pool area. There was activity in the lobby, so it was very nice. It was very active. Lots of people had dogs. You could see people walking their dogs coming back in and out. Brianna's been in contact with us a lot, sending us information and stuff. She's been very active in trying to recruit my mom."

"I am staying at a 55+ apartment called The Place at Wilmot North. I have been here for a couple of months. They have a pretty good schedule of activities like weekly outings, and they have a van that takes you to the store. It is strictly independent living. We have a pool and a Jacuzzi."

"I was surprised with Fellowship Square Tucson because it was beautifully kept. I had driven past that building many times, and it didn't seem to be anything special, but when I got inside at what they call the quad, it was beautiful. We met Kathy, and she was very informative and helpful. We came out and did the initial tour, and then we came back again in a couple of days. We met with her again, and she answered all our questions. She has worked there for a very long time, like a lot of other staff members who have worked there for a long, long time. So, that was good to see. I had a copy of their menu, and it looked very appealing. What got my attention about Fellowship Square Tucson was the emphasis on fitness and the presence of a personal trainer onsite. That's really what interested me the most. I was impressed by how many of the activities involved fitness. I need to be moving around, active and engaged, and I saw lots and lots of opportunities for that, so I'm looking forward to that particular aspect of it. The other interesting thing is that they have a health clinic on staff."

"My wife and I have been living in Fairview Manor for five years. We love it. Club House, active Activities Board, daily coffee and newspaper, fenced heated pool and hot tub, well-kept secure grounds, dog park, garbage pickup at the door twice a week, two potlucks a month, monthly Koffee Klutch, flat enough to easily walk, native plants and wildlife, plenty of parking, convenient location, inexpensive."

"I've been in Carefree Village Estates. It looked very friendly online. The staff member that I worked with is fantastic. They've assisted me with trying to get into the place and worked really hard with me as far as finances. The whole moving experience was made easier by them. They've gone out of their way for me and really, really helped me out. They're not serving food, but they have activities here. There's arts and crafts, a pool, and a billiards rooms. There are some fun activities. They try and get people involved. It's a really good experience. The whole property is very well kept and really, really nice. I have a beautiful home for $1,150, which is huge, with washer-dryer hookups. It's a two-bedroom. It's really, really nice."
