I am staying at a 55+ apartment called The Place at Wilmot North. I have been here for a couple of months. They have a pretty good schedule of activities like weekly outings, and they have a van that takes you to the store. It is strictly independent living. We have a pool and a Jacuzzi.

There is NO air-conditioning, it is a swamp cooler and only available some of the time. It is pretty outside but don't let that fool you. The gates are too heavy and dangerous for many residents. Some rooms are large. Cabinets are not always usable and very old and ugly. MAJOR problems with water system. Staff sometimes ok. Amenities good but activities geared to your grandmothers blue-haired generation.
