"We went up to Sunrise. Everything was very nice and positive. They were all very considerate, informative, and gave us a detailed description of the facility. We walked around and visited some of the residents. I would recommend Sunrise to any of our friends that are looking for a facility. "

"Mom is moving in at the independent living of Atria Campana del Rio. She might be going into assisted living after a few months, but she gets to stay in the same apartment. She doesn’t have to move out, which is a big plus. They have a lot of activities. The place looks nice, and the dining room is nice. I just have a really good feeling about the whole place. Everything looks clean. They have nurse practitioners, and they will take you to your doctor. They have on-site rehab. I was just really impressed walking around the grounds and looking at everything. The food is really good, and they have a lot of options. The main menu is changed every day but they also have a set menu, which has a lot of choices like steak, chicken, fish, shrimp, and burgers. They have a lot of sides and desserts, and you can have wine with your meal if you want to. They have happy hour activities. They offer 2 meals a day, breakfast and lunch or dinner, and the dining room is open from morning until 6 in the evening. The place isn’t really new, but it is well kept. I got more of a homey feeling in this place. "

"I toured Avista Tucson. I liked the director. She was nice. The facility was nice, but I didn't like the layout as much and it seemed bigger. I didn't like how it was quite a bit bigger than the one that I selected, and I didn't feel like it had a great outdoor space."

"Mother has always received wonderful care for the 7 years she has been at Sterling House. Everyone here have been outstanding. "

"We went to Park Senior Villas Houghton, and we have decided that's where my wife will stay. It is closer to our children, and that is where she wanted to be. I was impressed with all the staff, too. They have a large living room, a nice kitchen, a dining room, and bedrooms. They have a library, a salon, and a gym -- you name it, they got it. The meals are also included. The building is fairly new, and it has nice surrounding areas."

"Fairwinds is a quiet place. The people were very nice and helpful. It had a library and activities going on. "

"It was very welcoming and open. The rooms were beautiful. The staff was beautiful. We had food there and it was wonderful. They just got a wonderful program for the food like open seating. Everything was just really beautiful. I was very impressed with it. They have anything you want for activities. They have a lot of incoming entertainments like a harpist would come in and a piano player would come in, they have the regular craft activities, and they have good transportation. It was just perfect for us. I think what made an impression on me was the openness of the hallways, which meant you have little seating areas and the garden, which was very nice. If you wanted to be by yourself, the library was there. It just gave me a very warm, welcoming feeling."

"Two months ago, we placed my mother in Saguaro Ranch. It was a smaller facility with more patient care one-on-one. The ratio of caregiver to patient was less than in the bigger facilities. The facility is wonderful, the food is good, and the care is wonderful. The patient staff ratio is 5:1. There are 10 rooms with private baths. It's a home setting, but it's not a home -- it's intended to be an adult care home. Her room is spacious compared to almost everything else we looked at. They have various activities, but the rest of the family members say that she's pretty interactive everyday with some kind of project. "

"We loved Mary and Pete’s. My father was there for the last 2 months of his life. It had been a little trying at times coordinating his care since I live out of state and he declined pretty quickly from living independently most of his life. Pat at Mary and Pete’s met me for a FaceTime interview and tour. I was impressed with her heart for caring for people. The rooms were spacious, both the community areas and the bedrooms. There is a variety of rooms - single, double, private bath. The backyard is also set up for community and has the loveliest Mountain View. The house is clean and smells nice. The staff are among the most caring people I have met in my life. I was so pleased to have my dad spend this time of his life in such a supportive place."

"I moved my mother to Mom and Dad Place. The place she was at before had abused her, so I had to find her a place real quick. They nursed her back and she's doing really good. She's more alert now. The staff is very nice, very loving, and very accommodating. The owner is very nice. It's not so business like that it makes you feel like you're buying a car. It's more family run. It's been a good experience so far. She's in memory care for her advanced dementia, but it's like living in a house. It's very homey and very nice. They home cook all their food, and they've been very accommodating in the beginning with making her shakes when she wasn't able to eat. It's been really good. It's a very loving place."

"Villa Liddell is very clean and well-organized. They have really nice caregivers. The food is homemade, good, and nutritious. My parents enjoy painting, reminiscing hour, and chair exercises. My parents have their own bedroom with a bathroom, and it's always very well-kept."

"We moved to Mountain View for seven months. We loved it. It’s lovely, and I can’t say it was elaborate, but it was very nice. Everything is taken care of just like a lot of retirement homes are around here. It’s a lovely place. The staff was fine. We can go in and talk to the general manager any time we wanted to. Doors were opened. The food was surprisingly good. People were very good. "

"My grandfather was in this facility for about nine months before he passed away. Overall our experience was highly positive in nature. The rooms are quite large and have their own bathrooms. The facility was always clean and in good upkeep. Further, the meals were served in variety and of high-quality; my grandfather rarely had anything bad to say about the cook, which is an achievement.The staff there was very attentive to my grandfather's special needs, for instance, they provided him with a bell to ring whenever he needed assistance, so he did not have to get out of his chair. As I was there as frequently as a couple of times a week, I got to know the staff, and they, me. I was always able to walk right in like I owned the place and go straight to my grandfather's room.Overall I would recommend them to friends or family that needed to provide for someone who could no longer take care of themselves. It lacked the stale, hospital feel that some of the other places we looked at felt like. It was more "homey". "

"This is a large home with 10 residents. There is an enclosed yard with greenery and desert landscape, paio, and bbq. The grounds are well maintained. The interior is nice and clean with a living room, dining room, beauty salon, small library, and Arizona room.All bedrooms are private some have private bathrooms and some shared. They offer laundry and housekeeping. They are licensed for 3 levels of care. They have doctors and a nurse practitioner who come in. All caregivers are certified. They do transport to appointments. They have home cooking with 3 private cooks. The food is excellent. They provide three meals a day and snacks. Breakfast is what ever you want. There is a good variety. Activities include exercise, bingo, sing-a-longs,a pianist, parties and bbqs. Outside activities can be arranged. They encourage family involvement. This is a nice hone with a caring staff. "
