I'm in independent living at Mountain View Retirement Village. I love it here. It's very nice. I have a nice big apartment. The dining room is huge. I made a lot of friends. They have a huge meeting room with a fireplace. I like it here. The staff is great. We have servers for our meals, and they're just a fantastic bunch of kids. They're all so nice and caring and concerned about all the residents. Some residents need a little help, even though they're independent living, but they're just so nice. I can't complain about anybody on the staff. My apartment is 1050 square feet, and we have full kitchens. I was able to bring my dining room set because there's a dining room. I have a large bedroom, a large living room, a den, and one bathroom. I'm on the ground floor overlooking the park area. It's a good size and there's plenty of storage. The pantry is gigantic. We get breakfast, which I just had, and it was great. Then you can have your choice of lunch or dinner. The food is good. We have a good variety. If I don't like what the special is, there are about six or seven different choices, like roast chicken, pork or meatloaf. Then you flip the thing over and there are about ten sandwiches you can have. We have a bus. On Thursday, we can go wherever we want to go. On Tuesdays,we go grocery shopping and we go to doctor's appointments. There are activities going on here. A lot of people are on walkers and wheelchairs, so we're kind of limited where we can go, but we go to a movie and out to eat and things like that. It's difficult to go to some places where there's not a paved walkway. It's gravel, and it's even hard for me and I'm neither one. You have to be careful how you walk. I have friends at other places and the cost is pretty comparable all over.

Mountain View Retirement Village has been hands-on and very good with their care. They are very kind people. They have been taking great care of my parents. Location to where I live is excellent, so I could stop by. Activities are plentiful all day long, and they also have the insurance carriers on site. I switched their insurance so that they can just be helped with their healthcare right there on site. There's a pool, a patio, a salon, bingo, and the bus that takes them to doctors or to the stores. It's a full service. They could have better food; it's not great.

I toured Mountain View Retirement Village for myself. I liked the barber shop, the fitness room, and I liked the nice garden area outside where you could sit and walk. I also liked that it seemed quiet there. The staff who gave us the tour was very courteous and nice. My daughter and I had lunch there. I have to watch my sodium intake, so they fixed me a meal without salt. The burger was very nice and well done. The dining area was very nice and clean.

We moved to Mountain View Retirement Village. We looked at a lot of places and this one had the biggest apartments, the most closets, and it's really nice looking. So we chose this place because we like the looks of the place, the size of the apartments, and the amenities. We've got a large one-bedroom, it's over a thousand square feet, and it's got a lot of closets and storage space. And we have a dog, and our apartment is right by the exit, so we can just go out with the dog. I won't have to go through the whole building or down an elevator. When they were redoing the apartments, we got to choose to have all woodgrain look vinyl, because of the dog, so that's really nice. And it's about the same price as all the others. The building we're is an independent living, but it also has some assisted living in the wing. So when you need more services, you just go down the hall. The bathrooms are a pretty good size and the dining area downstairs is very nice. We have a dining area in our apartment. It's just a small area, but we have a table and four chairs. The grounds are nice and there are a lot of trees, out of our balcony are a bunch of trees, so it's shaded, and walking the dog is nice because there's the dog park. So it's got all the amenities that we really wanted. They offer all the meals, so we get two, breakfast and dinner. The food itself is not all that bad, but it's hard to get it hot. It was really good before COVID, but since COVID, the kitchen doesn't get what they order, so they have to make do. It's decent food, but it's nothing exciting. They have all the typical games that everyone else has. They do a big birthday party every month down in the main living room, and they bring in entertainment, and now they're going back to having the bus trips. They have a swimming pool and they have water exercises, and they have an exercise room. The staff is very nice.

Mountain View Retirement Village is very nice, and I like it. They have a huge list of amenities, so it gives us everything we need. We had a nice lunch, and it was very good. The facility is very clean. The staff was very nice, accommodating, and answered all our questions.

The tour we had at Mountain View Retirement Village was excellent. Melinda was our guide, and she basically did a wonderful job. I love the facility. The concierge was very friendly, very attentive, and gave us water bottles. Our guide was dressed very properly. She was groomed properly; customer service at its best. She took us to every area of the facility and showed us the apartments. We saw two of them in different sizes. They were empty, clean, and the setup was awesome. She took us to the library, the pool room, and the movie room. We also saw the place where they gather to do poker, cards, or Scrabble. She showed us the barbershop and the salon. We saw the outside of the facility; they even have a garden out there. Everything that was really top of the line, and the halls were decorated nicely. They have organized different meeting areas for all the residents. The dining room was super clean. They took us to the first and second floor. She told us about having a first level and a second level, which are the assisted and the memory care centers. She described all of that well. We saw the residents doing puzzles. It looked like they were all very happy. There was a gentleman sitting outside in a rocking chair, and he was very friendly to us.

I am in independent living at Mountain View Retirement Village, and I made a lot of very good friends here. I think it is 30 years old, but it is well built and very attractive on the outside and on the inside. On the inside, it is very open and spacious in the public and the common areas. The apartment that I am in is quite adequate. There is assisted living and just recently they added a memory care as well. There are bunch of activities. They just added a patio outside where they bring in some local bands, and they have social meetings out there. They have happy hour inside in a very nice room called a mezzanine, and they may have bingo. I do not play bingo, but they have it and a lot of activities. I find them a good value for the money.

Ok where to begin. I toured Mountain View retirement Village (MVRV) two years before my folks actually moved in there. It was, and still is, hands down the most awesome place. I wanted to move in there right then. So now 2 years later, Kirsten is giving myself and my brother the tour. It's gotten even better. She and the staff there went above and beyond in expediting our Mom and Dad's entrance and move in. Doctors can be a bit slow in these matters. Now we touch on the Care Givers and Dining Room staff. ALL are simply topnotch and all are sincere. They all actually care about the residence. My brother, sister and I, ate many meals in the dining room and were greeted warmly each and every time. It was very heart warming to hear the residents speak so warmly about the staff and visa versa. Kirsten would flow through and hug and say hello to everyone. The Care Givers, I wish I could remember their names, are top notch. Our Dad needed more care than my Mom, but they were there at the “push of the pendant” day or night. Meds were given like clockwork. The CareMore docs and reps were onsite continually. From dental, x-ray, ultra sound, pediatrist, vision. All came to the apartment. Amazing. Throughout these months Kirsten was everywhere. She would take my Mom, who does not see well, down the hall to the hair dressers or to get the mail or to the dining hall. She's amazing. When our Dad passed a month ago, while there at MVRV, everyone was very helpful. And now with this Corona Virus lock down, I, and my brother and sister, know and see, on a daily basis, that our Mom is in the best place she could possibly be in. Please take the tour and see what a Fantastic, topnotch place Mountain View Retirement Village is. The Bowling Family

My mom loved the staff, the caregivers took great care of her and when i came to visit she was always smiling which was so important to me. She started interacting with other people and even joined in on bingo games!!!! I would recommend Mountain View to any family looking for a home.

The front desk, activity and dining staff are all very nice. The NURSING AND AID staff were not what were sold. We were sold on the highest level of care and often found my relative forgotten from taken to meals and activities, filthy room, terrible attitudes and general lack of care. My relative went to the hospital 4 times and they "forgot" to call me. He had a broken rib from a fall...I blame management for under staffing each station. They are overworked and under paid thus the bad hostile attitudes. If your love one needs any kind of personal care, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO MOUNTAIN VIEW.

Exceptional community. The fact this building has been standing for almost 20 years and not a single remodel has been done is outstanding. The same staff have been there almost as long as it's been there which says a lot about a company. My friend couldn't tell me enough times about how amazing it was there, activities were great, food was amazing, and care was perfect. Best community in town hands down. These negative comments don't reflect the true nature of this place. Will definitely choose Mountain View Retirement when my time comes to retire.

Mountain View Retirement does not have people to help my dad shower, which means I have to do it. This is very difficult for me because I have a very bad rheumatoid arthritis. Also, my dad has to walk his dogs a long way to get to their dog yard. That's not very good when it's 110 to 115 degrees outside. My dad's apartment though has a living room, a little kitchen area with a microwave and a small refrigerator, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Also, the staff is very nice and the food is very good.

My 80 year old father was not given his heart medication for the 30 days he was in respite care. Doctor's medication lists were provided and over 600 pills newly filled with my father's name and the doctor's name on the label. Medical records showed 3 serious heart conditions. No apologies were given for their gross negligence that could have killed my father.

We moved to Mountain View for seven months. We loved it. It’s lovely, and I can’t say it was elaborate, but it was very nice. Everything is taken care of just like a lot of retirement homes are around here. It’s a lovely place. The staff was fine. We can go in and talk to the general manager any time we wanted to. Doors were opened. The food was surprisingly good. People were very good.

The whole Mountain View Retirement is well done and well-run. It’s a beautiful facility and the food is outstanding. The caregivers in the assisted living where just the best, I have no negative about that place. I would go there myself. The place is very caring from the administration down to the cleaning lady. Everything was done perfectly. They had a nice library, computer room, the meeting room and lounges were beautiful as well as the furniture.

Mountain View had good facilities. The operating staff was good, but I was just not comfortable there. It is totally inadequate. They don’t have adequate parking, so people had to park their vehicles on a slant. It’s just not a good place. The food was average, and the cleanliness was fine. The staff was very friendly and comfortable people, but it’s not what we wanted.

My father is happy at Mountain View Retirement. The staff listens if there's ever a problem, and they try to reconcile whatever the problems are. The rooms are very nice and very clean. They do the laundry. He raves about the food. He loves it because it's homemade basically, and they have a chef that works there. However, they should pick their front desk staff a little bit better. Some of them were not the most polite. The facility is so clean, and the grounds are kept clean. They come right away when he pushes his call button. I don't have any problems when it comes to his care. The only thing I first had a problem with was they weren't coming in and watching him enough, but now they're starting to do that a little more. They're pretty good, but if you're looking for a place that you want your parents to be watched a lot, you have to call them in order for them to come. They do check on my dad like once an hour, but that's because he is a higher fall risk. It all depends on the individual.

Mountain View is a completely friendly community. Everybody says hello to everybody, and it is not fake; it continues when you move in. When my parents first moved in, they checked on them every two hours to see how they were doing. I opted for the plan where they provide their medicines, so I don't have to order medicine and make sure they are taking it. They administer it, so that is taken care of. Food is great. My parents really look forward to the food. However, I could not get right a copy of their meds right away, e.g. when Mountain View was giving them and what they were giving them. Like when we moved Mom in halfway through the day and she needed one of her blood pressure medications at night, they wouldn't give it to her because they said it is assigned at 8 a.m. and they will not give it to her in the evening, but my mom's blood pressure was over 200. I can't talk to the nurse. You talk to the caregivers who reports to the nurse, etc. That was about the only main thing, but everything else is good. The caregivers are good. They make sure my parents take their showers. I'm really happy with the place; it is one of the best around. My parents have an apartment. The bathroom is nice. It is equipped with grab bars. They don't do any of the activities, but the activities are extremely good. I would definitely recommend this community. They are extremely friendly and accepting of everybody. The staff is very friendly. I think their friendliness and cleanliness is the main thing with this community.

I visited Mountain View Retirement Village and the outside area was unappealing but the inside was very nice. Their apartments also were nice. However, I just don't like the location. It's on the west side of the town and I've been living on the east side of town. So I'm not familiar with the location. I prefer to choose a place that I'm familiar with.

This assisted living/ retirement facility was very clean and upscale. The workers and residents were really friendly and offered help right when we walked in the door. The manager offered us a tour right away and took us around the facility. I liked how their kitchen/cafeteria was set up. There were windows everywhere so the residents could see the beautiful landscaping the facility has. There is also a garden for the residents to walk through at their pleasure. Each room is private unless they opt to have a roommate. Overall I would say this was a very nice assisted living facility and I would allow my grandmother to reside there.

This is a very large facility with lots of access points. The lobby was huge and well lighted. There were numerous sidewalks around the building where you can just talk a walk. Trees and flowers were everywhere too. The rooms vary in sizes. Most of them were big and they also have apartments for couples. I saw two separate dining rooms in this facility. It also has a library, internet room and game room. The activities provided here are similar to the other ones I've visited "“ exercises, movie nights, card games, discussions and many others. But one unique activity is they set up booths for residents like a Mary Kay or clothes booth where residents could buy what they want. This facility is pretty established and they're doing a great job.

This is a beautiful facility. It has a great outdoor decor and a porch/gazebo style entrance. A definite resort style that looks nice with out the extreme elegance and glamour. The grounds are nice and well maintained with desert landscaping in front. There are 188 apartments. It is 2 stories. The independent living has studio and one bedrooms with full kitchens and the assisted have partial kitchens. All are handicapped equipped as necessary and have an emergency call system. The interior is nicely decored. They have sitting areas, living room, activities area, pool table, beauty salon, exercise room, and nice dining room. The dining room is restaurant style with 2 entrees lunch and dinner and over 20 other items to choose from. The food is delicious. They serve three meals a day and snacks. They have two nures on duty, certified caregivers, med techs, activities director, and rehab and other services available so the resident can move within the community. They have doctors and nurse practitioner who come in. They transport to appointments. The staff is very nice and caring. It has a very homey atmosphere for a large facility. They have a very active lifestyle there with lots of games, parties, bbqs, live entertainment, and a pool and spa area. They do exercise program in fitness center and pool. They do outings for shopping. luncheons, and many community events. They have a theater room. The out side has two courtyards with walking paths, rock formations, and lush greenery. This is a very nice and desirable place.
