We're at The Country Club of La Cholla. They tell us we can stay here as long as we have caregivers and so we're going to stay here. This has been home now for five years. They're very friendly. It's very homey. There's no institutional feeling about it. The staff is very good to us. We have an enormous number of activities. If there's an activity that you'd like to do and it's not there, they say, "Go ahead and set it up." We have a huge list of activities every single week. The food is OK, but it's not the best. We have what we think is the best apartment they have. It's called the Ascott, and it's a two-bedroom and it's the largest one, outside of the casitas. We have a fitness center, a chapel, a hair salon, and fingernails and toenails can be done. We have a ballroom where we can dance. They have happy hour. We have music over and over again and they take us out to outings and all kinds of places. I couldn't ask for anything. Nobody wants to pay this much rent, but it's worth it.

The Country Club of La Cholla was older so it's not as desirable as the other places. The villas were smaller. We wanted something larger, so we kind of ruled that out. They had separate houses, but they were smaller. Otherwise, it was fine. The staff who toured us was very good. The staff was very enthusiastic, very knowledgeable, and very reliable. They had everything. They had the gym, they had the facilities, and they had a pool exercise facility. They don't lack anything. It's good, overall.

My FIL was in this facility on the Assisted Living side. I would not recommend this facility due to several factors: 1. Service Plans are done with the resident or POA, and they are not followed by the facility staff, but you have to pay for services the resident did not receive. 2. Housekeeping services you pay for are not anything as they describe, laundry is lost multiple times, and some items never return. 3. When FIL was placed on hospice services, the facility takes a backseat in the care plan and hands-off approach instead of utilizing Hospice as extra help. 4. Staff has canned answers for any questions, even when you are asking for information about injuries to family members; the ones we received are "I just got here, I don't know", I just got back from Vacation, this isn't my regular floor, etc. 5. The facility does not guide you into future needs; they up your care plan to the maximum required service but never once tell you that maybe the care they can provide is not adequate.

We went to The Country Club of La Cholla. The staff was very nice. They have arts and crafts, gaming areas, exercise, and a little pool. They were asking top dollar for their rent, and the rooms had not been upgraded. The place is 28 years old and still has the old cabinetry that has not been taken care of. All the doorways and baseboards are kind of beat up. Their kitchen and eating area looked fine. We did not eat there. A lot of places don't invite you to have a meal with them, but it's very important to most of us that we do need to have a meal there before we make our minds up where we're going, because we need to know the quality of the food. So I can't judge the quality of the food, but the facility of the dining areas that they had, and the schedules for eating and snacking, I think I could give them a five. The outside facility is gorgeous. The lady in sales that did our tour with us was just fine.

The Country Club of La Cholla is an older facility, but still clean. They have a little Cafe Bistro area and two dining rooms. At the time I went, there were people in the bistro. All the apartments were spacious, and they also had individual casitas. They have a lot of amenities and a lot of activities. I direct a women's chorus and my chorus has actually been to perform there. So I know they have entertainment. Upstairs they have a pool table, and they have some other things going on. I had a chance to speak to a person who was living there, and she spoke very highly about it. The person who helped give me the tour was very friendly and knowledgeable. The receptionist also was very friendly. The staff was very accommodating and answered my questions. They were good.

This was on my list for the top two facilities we toured for my parents. Location is fantastic and quiet. Staff was very knowledgeable of all the places we visited. Prices are reasonable for the services provided. There is nothing I found wrong with the Country Club. I will highly recommend this place to my friends with aging parents.

My visit to The Country Club of La Cholla was very good. They had a good guy that showed me around and answered all my questions, I was very impressed. I wanted something that's out of the busy part of Tucson; somewhere a little out of the center and the where traffic wasn't so heavy. That is where La Cholla is. It's on a boulevard, but it's not so heavily traveled as the city center of Tucson. However, it's also close to shopping centers where it will be accessible for me to take short little trips down to the shopping centers. It's very convenient. Another thing that I wanted is a good size swimming pool where I could do laps. Of all the facilities I looked at, this one had one of the best pools set up so I could get good exercise. They also had a nice exercise room with a good assortment of equipment. They had a beautiful library filled with lots of books. There's a really pleasant setting there to sit and read for a while. They had a beautiful dining room, too. The staff was just so courteous and accommodating. I was just impressed, overall. When I found a unit I liked, that particular unit was available, but it was empty. I talked to them a few days ago and they've already put in new carpeting for me in the little den and the kitchen area, so I have new flooring in the whole apartment. That's a real plus there. I haven't had a chance to have a meal there but I'm certain the food would be quite good because it seemed like everything was quite upscale there. They have activities where different entertainment would come in. Also, they will take care of transferring me to different shopping centers or maybe to a doctor's appointment if I don't like to do my driving. That's also a real plus for me. It's a beautiful place with beautiful grounds. It's one of the most outstanding ones.

The Country Club of La Cholla was a very nice place. They're very well organized and well structured. I would rate it pretty highly; it just wasn't working out for us. It was a very impressive place. The young lady that took us around did a very good job. She was very knowledgeable and very professional. She mentioned some activities, but we didn't get into that in great detail. In fact, they were having some kind of outing the day we went there.

The Country Club of La Cholla was really nice, and would definitely be in the running if my mom would be able to do that. It was nice, it seemed like a supportive community and she liked it. They provide all the means, most of the activities, they would take people out within a 10-mile radius for shopping. It had basically, most, if not all of the amenities most of the others have. The apartment was fine, it was nice and the staff was nice.

We went to The Country Club of La Cholla. They screened very carefully at the door and they allowed us to go only to the public shared places. We had already seen online pictures of the apartments, and we were able to go into three different empty apartments to look at them, and we met people very briefly. We met the staff, and one staff member was very helpful and happy to talk with me. We saw an apartment, they were all one-bedrooms, one of them had a patio, we saw two different sizes, they had full apartments with balconies and patios, and she was also showing us the availability in terms of the location, how near they were to the dining room, and that kind of thing (because my mother needed that). The staff was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very careful about protecting the property from the virus. They had a huge pool which is totally useless considering the age of residents, and we decided that it was too large and too country club-ish for my mother. They visit each room and do physical therapy with people if they need it.

I didn't like The Country Club of La Cholla. The only thing good about it was the staff. The rooms were okay, the place is old, it's not well-cared for, the furniture is old, it's worn-out, and kind of depressing. The casitas were horrible. The staff was fine, and she did a good job.

The Country Club of La Cholla was beautiful. It's very nice and seemed well-run, the people who live there seemed happy and the place itself was really clean. The staff who gave us the tour was very good, but she got a little high-pressure at the end. We saw a game room, swimming pools, they had cards and pool, and the dining rooms were beautiful. We ate there, my friend didn't like her meal but I liked mine.

My parents just moved here and it has transformed their lives. They were struggling in their own home however they did not want to move. They have realized that it is wonderful to have food made for them. And they love the food! My mother is a picky eater and she is gaining weight and loving the food. They have not been social for years and they are making friends and loving the ability to connect with people again. They love the events, like the concerts and the happy hours. They have realized that they needed help, but now that they don't have to clean a house and cook, they have truly regained their independence. It has been so wonderful to see. I can not say enough about this place and how it has made my parents so happy.

I've been here since April and since CJ and John came on board the food has improved greatly! I love the convince of everything. I'm able to eat when I want and the kitchen and dining room is beautiful. The location of my apartment allows me to use my back door to come in front my car. My dog loves all the friendly people and attention. Felipe the maintenance man has been super with helping me get settled. Since coming here I've made so many friends and everything has been very enjoyable.

The Country Club of La Cholla was a wonderful facility. I would definitely choose it if my dad needs an assisted living facility. The whole facility was very clean. The staff was very accommodating. They have a buffet breakfast and a menu with a wide variety to choose from for lunch and dinner, sort of like a cafe. It was very nice. They have what they call the Cadillac; if you would like to play golf or go to church, the mall or a grocery store, they provide rides pretty much anywhere you want to go. On site, there's a game room and puzzle room.

The Country Club of La Cholla is very good, the staff is wonderful, and they are very patient with the older people and courteous. I like all the staff. The apartments are quite large, most spacious in all the ones I looked at in Tucson. I had not had one food that I didn’t like. Everything is good; there are about six or eight things to choose from at every meal. They play bingo, there is happy hour twice a week, usually once a week that includes live entertainment, they play cards, billiards, and Wii bowling, they have outing schedule, some of them are like fun outing, they go to theater, they go out to various restaurants, they go to outdoor activities adn concerts in the parks, they go to three or four grocery stores, and there’s exercise classes, yoga classes, a gym, and water aerobics.

My parents could not have chosen a nicer home in 2010. The grounds & interior are lovely. The staff is exceptional, going out of their way to be gracious & helpful. The food is quite varied-lots of choices...just like a restaurant! Every week there is a new schedule of events. Transportation is provided for shopping, appointments & special trips; lots to do in house too, games, cards, pool, lounge, workout room, library, etc.! Our family lost my Mum a years ago & the staff have been a wonderful "extended family" for my Dad.

My husband and I visited this great senior facility and yes it looks like a country club, WE live in San Diego and we are thinking of moving to Tucson due the high taxes in SD. The lunch was delicious, we liked the dining room atmosphere, a great library. The casitas are good size and the apts also . it is a nice environment , clean , light, friendly lots of things to do on the property. This is a great place and we are seriously looking at it . We are both very active and in our 80. We really enjoyed the tour. Serious thinking has to be done !

I was able to visit The Country Club of La Cholla, and this is the place that I would put my mom if we had the money. This is my number one choice. Their units are bigger, and I think it is in a much nicer area.
