"Inspira Gateway was new. It's kind of bright and sparkly. It's a smaller community with a smaller population, but it's a lovely place. It has an onsite heated pool and a PT/rec room. They had a full activities calendar and transportation. The dining area was lovely with cloth napkins and clean tabletops. It looked like a restaurant. They have a special menu each day and a special item, and then also an everyday menu that you can use. They also have 24-hour access to a bistro with fruit, a coffee bar, drink bar, and a dairy case or a refrigerated case of snacks. I liked it. The staff was great."

"It is a lovely place; my mother-in-law said it's like a resort hotel. The staff was super friendly and helpful in getting my father a lot of medical referral. The care for him isn’t just physical; it's emotional, too. They’ve helped him with the death of my mother-in-law. It’s been really good. The dining area is very clean; he can eat whatever he wants and with good variety. "

"Verena at Gilbert was just independent living, and it's very new and clean, and organized. The staff members were very, very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. You order the food from a menu and there's a chef, so the meals are professionally done. In terms of facilities and amenities, they have about everything you can think of. There's a pool with a ramp, they have different sitting areas, and they have their regular mail room like the other places. The gym I go to is just a mile and a half away from there, the auto service is just down the street, the nursing hospital is right next to it, and there's a big shopping center close by."

"Fellowship Square Historic Mesa is an older facility but the people there are very nice. It's been a great place, and my mother has been there close to 15 years now. The place that she has currently is an apartment with one bedroom. They have activities scheduled each month. They have a dining room that they go to and the place is reasonably priced. They have a beauty salon, they have a heated swimming pool outdoors. There's also a library with computers in them. I thought the food is pretty good too."

"The price at Oasis at Mesa Palms was just right, and they had a lot of amenities. Everyone was really friendly, so it seemed like a good place. They had a calendar posted with a lot of activities. We were really happy with the different options that they had available. "

"Our experience with Clarendale of Chandler was good. When we got there, the receptionist was warm and friendly. The girl who was supposed to be giving us the tour had called in sick that day, and she told us that someone else would be giving us the tour. We only waited maybe 10 minutes and the lady came and spoke with us. She was knowledgeable and she knew exactly what we were looking for. She was very helpful. The rooms in the independent living were nice. I called my stepmom and told her we were very, very impressed. The problem we're running into is that independent living and assisted living are two separate facilities. The independent living apartments were beautiful, but if she has to go into assisted living, the apartments were too small. She's 90 and she's going to end up in assisted living, which would call for another move. Clarendale of Chandler was a very, very nice facility. The dining room was very nice. It was very upscale and it did not appear institutional and that's what we're looking for. The gal who gave us the tour commented that they're three years old, so it's all new residents and everybody was extremely friendly. I observed that just as we were walking down hallways to tour apartments and look at vacant apartments, people were talking, saying hello to each other in the hallway and to her. The help was very warm and friendly to everybody, which was nice. I was impressed with that. The staff during the tour was very nice, very polite, respectful, and not doing us a favor kind of attitude."

"We like the rooms at Cadence Chandler. We met quite a few people there, and they were very happy with the place. It was exuberant. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. I had a shrimp pasta dish, which was very good. The building is under five years old, but the structure is very nice. They had nice wide hallways, and the room layout was very nice. The rooms and closets were big."

"I am not a resident but my dad is. I interact with the staff often and appreciate how I now have a professional team to help me with everything. Which they do. Whether we are coordinating a ride for health care when I'm out of town or encouraging dad to participate in the many activities, we have been able to get everything handled with humor and style. The only down side to the covid precautions that close the dining room is that dad gets to order from the menu and get it delivered. He is already spoiled enough. =) The buildings have been there for a bit, but Atria takes maintenance seriously and I have been able to see what the units look like before someone moves in. Dad's place was fresh paint and flooring and clean. I appreciate the laundry service, the meals, the activities, and really what makes everything work - the attitude - of the amazing staff. Thank you guys for everything. The value is fantastic. Just ask the people that have moved away and came back. That guy"

"It was kind of a very spread-out campus, much larger than most of the other places. They do both assisted living and independent living. I was focused on the assisted, not so much on the independent living. They had a nice little pool and a little putting green. It had kind of a more park-ish atmosphere than most of the other places. If that's what you're looking for, especially independent living, I think that would be nice, but that's not what I was looking for, so I didn't pay too much attention. It was very nice. The apartment had a little kitchenette space. The staff was super nice and very patient."

"My father lived in McDowell Village in Scottsdale. It was wonderful. The staff was fine. They had onsite and offsite activities. "

"It was very, very caring and very gracious. The couple of different people we talked to seemed very knowledgeable. The rooms seemed very adequate. Right now, they're being revamped with new paint, new carpeting, and stuff. The grounds seemed very, very pleasant and very pleasing. They had a library and lounge areas, a theater, a room where they had musicians come in, card games and bingo. One thing I liked the most about it was that the dining room was open all day."

"The Village was a little more expensive, and they did not have a studio apartment. They had a band playing with wine and cheese out. The food was excellent. I met several of the staff who were wonderful."
