The rooms are great and well maintained assistance in cleaning every other week the food is great as well quite a few options the services outstanding we're showing a great deal of respect by all of those that serve us here at the varina that more than outstanding willing to help with anything I was ill had two surgeries on my back and neck doing the time of my rehab I received assistance and all that I needed during my time of recovery my food was brought to my room I was contacted as to whether I wanted to eat or not again I feel that this place is full of love joy and concern for each other pet friendly truly this feels just like home with plenty of great neighbors if you're like me with no family here in Arizona I have found a new family here at the varina there is plenty to do well planned activities daily

My apartment is very spacious. The staff is wonderful in all aspects from housekeeping to chiefs, servers, maintenance and all management. They are friendly, caring, and social. The residents are so welcoming and friendly. The food in most cases is good. It is more personal likes and dislikes then bad food.

Everything was to be admired. The food and staff were top notch. I was visiting a friend and felt like a treasured visitor by all. I met several other residents who were friendly, welcoming and our conversation resulted in shared interests about activities and books. Highly recommend if you are looking for your next home.

Verena at Gilbert was just independent living, and it's very new and clean, and organized. The staff members were very, very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. You order the food from a menu and there's a chef, so the meals are professionally done. In terms of facilities and amenities, they have about everything you can think of. There's a pool with a ramp, they have different sitting areas, and they have their regular mail room like the other places. The gym I go to is just a mile and a half away from there, the auto service is just down the street, the nursing hospital is right next to it, and there's a big shopping center close by.

It’s a comforting, place to live. Staff is the best, very friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to help The apartments are very nice. Upkeep is good. There are so many things to do. We go to concerts, plays. Outings To restaurants, baseball games. We have crafts, card games and lot more.. just a wonderful place to live, residents are very friendly too.

Verena at Gilbert is relatively new. Our rooms have never been lived in because the company that had this facility originally sold it to this new company. So everything is very new and nice-looking, and everybody's very nice. The staff is very good, everybody's been very friendly and I couldn't ask for more. There's an exercise room, a movie theater, a library, a barber shop or beauty shop, a swimming pool, and a salon kinda like a spa thing. The dining area is very good and the food is also very good.

Living here for almost a year, I have seen changes that are happening into a more positive way. Food is improving, lunches are filling and enjoy breakfast. Meeting residents and playing cards or board games makes this a layer back place to feel like home. My family is impressed with the decor and the other amenities that are offered.

This community is newer and well kept but, VERY BORING. They have continued to over promise and under deliver. The transportation provided is limited or none at all, group activities are sporadic at best and the staff turnover continues to surge. The food offering of a continental breakfast and semi-hot lunch is bland, boring and repetitive. Upper Management continues to promise more activities, more transportation and better quality food but nothing ever happens. Do not let the pretty hallways skew your vision of unhappy residents who are very bored and leaving as soon as possible. Look elsewhere for a fun place to put mom/dad- activities are what they need in the golden years.
