"When I went over at Sunrise of Gilbert, I realized that they had facilities to accommodate just about any kind of a person that came in there, but when I sat down and talked to the representative, he filled me in very quickly that this is a private-owned company, and therefore there are no individuals living there that have support through Medicaid or otherwise. We toured the rest of the facility more or less, with what it would mean if I moved there as an independent person. It's very clean. They have a lot of activities, but just the way the place was built, they didn't go on the cheap. The person who gave the tour was a young person. very well dressed, very professional, very informative, and took all the time I needed to look the place over. I wasn't rushed. As my situation moves along, I will keep in touch with him to see how things are changing in regards to what I look at and what I'm thinking about doing. I saw the dining area and I saw their menus and it was very, very, very pleasant. It seemed like eating at a very nice restaurant. Not just comfort food, they had some of the finer things. If you have to downsize, you can move into someplace like Sunrise of Gilbert and feel like you haven't just thrown your whole life out the window. There's still a lot of life left and opportunities for you to explore and meet new people."

"My father is a resident at Oasis at Mesa Palms. It's an independent living community that is friendly and clean. His room is clean and spacious. It's also a big perk to have a washer and dryer inside the apartment. The dining area and the food look acceptable. I know they have a gym, a rec room, a cafeteria, and a pool. They have activities the residents can sign up for. They also offer transportation to the doctor and the grocery."

"When I first drove in, I said, Sage Mesa is an awesome place. It's peaceful. When I walked in the door, it was very friendly and very open. People reached out right away. I wasn't just wandering around trying to figure out what was going on. It's very clean and very well kept. I met a couple of the people who lived there, and they're very friendly and very nice. If I could afford it, I would move in. I toured all areas. I saw the rooms, the workout rooms, the pool, and the library. There was a game room. They explained their social events, and you get a calendar of all the different social events that are going on. It's very well organized."

"We went to The Oaks in Gilbert. The people there were wonderful. The food was amazing. The place was clean and homey. All the residents there were happy and always wanted to include everybody in what they were doing. It was just an awesome place. Kevin is the best. He gives a great tour. He answers all your questions. We met the physical therapist, the nurse, and the activities director. Everybody was super great. We just sat down, and the chef brought us a meal. The food there is top-notch. That was the only one that kind of fit Mom's needs."

"The rooms are great and well maintained assistance in cleaning every other week the food is great as well quite a few options the services outstanding we're showing a great deal of respect by all of those that serve us here at the varina that more than outstanding willing to help with anything I was ill had two surgeries on my back and neck doing the time of my rehab I received assistance and all that I needed during my time of recovery my food was brought to my room I was contacted as to whether I wanted to eat or not again I feel that this place is full of love joy and concern for each other pet friendly truly this feels just like home with plenty of great neighbors if you're like me with no family here in Arizona I have found a new family here at the varina there is plenty to do well planned activities daily"

"The staff was really outstanding. I actually got to tour with the supervisor of the memory care unit and she was excellent. I've gotten a lot of tours with salespeople/community representatives and they do a good job, but interacting with somebody who is actually there, working with the residents, to me, means a whole lot more. The rooms were spacious and looked good. There's a lot of common areas and they were very well furnished. They were playing games and listening to music. Nobody was sitting in a room doing nothing."

"We found my dream place, Atria. I have been living here for a year and 2 months, Atria, is my dream come true. I get fed 3 times a day, my apartments gets cleaned once a week. Activities every day, given rides whenever. I need a ride within 10 miles. Low rent with all utilities included. I feel like I'm living in heaven, before I go to live with my heavenly father. Now I'm swimming every other day getting in shape. I got me a small 15 lb. Jack Russell to keep me company. People here are nice friends. 85% of people are friendly, but you always find a couple of bad people. I learned not to hang around that kind. The Atria workers are always around to give you a hand. Thank you for letting me live here. Praise the lord. He's my strength."

"My father-in-law happily chose Brookdale Apache Junction, and he's very excited about moving in. It's just been a positive experience. It is a multi-storied community, and my father-in-law happened to like the third floor. The other thing he liked was that it has a little stove, because he is the fudge maker of the family. He was very pleased with the aura of the community. The people were using walkers and sometimes scooters, but they were all visiting and seemed to be mentally sharp. Almost all of the staff that we spoke with have been there at least five to ten years, which we found very positive. The food was absolutely delicious. It has a pool, a lot of activities, and a lot of mental and social stimulation."

"Mom moved in about three weeks ago. I think they do fairly well dealing with her. The staff seems pretty good, so far. The place looks OK and the location works pretty well for me. Mom is in a double room, which works well enough for what she needs."

"I’d like to leave this review for the park. My father had been looking at it for over three years. Elizabeth was very good with him. Always calling to check in. Make sure everything was going OK and finally got him to move over there. The park is very clean, very friendly. The food is very good. From the moment my father moved in he was making friends being more active. I can’t be happier with his choice of moving into the park. And I cannot rave more about Elizabeth. She was so patient with somebody who is very cautious about every move he makes she did an awesome job and patience. Thanks lizabeth."

"Mera Chandler was beautiful, but it's a little too high-priced for what I'm looking for. The units were gorgeous. The kitchens were well laid out, and had lots of drawers and places for pots and pans, and so forth. They had very spacious bedrooms and the living area space had beautiful views and very nice, large windows with nice coverings on the windows. They had a nice, cute patio that was big enough for patio furniture. The pool area and the pickleball area were all very nice. I happened to pass by a room where the ladies were playing cards and it looked like a very joyful place. They were laughing. There were also classrooms and bookrooms. It's an overall lovely place for living over 55. The staff was courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and warm. The people were very gracious."

"I toured Cadence Chandler. They have nice rooms, and a big variety of choices from small studios up to two bedrooms. They had their combination of independent, assisted living, and memory care. It's a nice facility. Everything looked fine. Everything looks satisfactory. They have lots of programs. Lots of things to do during the day. They have various activities like card games, yoga, and exercise. They have a pool and they have an exercise room. Diana was helpful and very courteous. She showed me around."

"Let me start off by saying I don’t write reviews!However the Revel is an amazing place to live! We are so fortunate to have found this place for my Mom!The minute we got there everyone was warm and welcoming!The Revel feels like a resort for seniors.They have daily activities from morning until night.You can be as busy as you like!They have workout classes and the Gym has everything you need !I wish my Mom used it more! The Salon does hair , nails and more! MY Mom never looked so good! They play Poker ( my Moms favorite and she’s good)they have musical activities, they sing and they laugh a lot! The Revel is a family! They all care about each other! I’m fortunate to spend time everyday with my Mom and these amazing people! The staff are the most caring and supportive people you will ever meet! They are always smiling and so so helpful!They know everyone by name!There is nothing they won’t do for you! Another bonus are the people who live there! They are the most fantastic people!Who would think at this stage of your life you would make such wonderful friends!They truly are a family! When you go to the Restaurant ,you always have someone to sit with.There are a lot of nice places to live, but if you want to have a community that is caring and just plain fabulous the Revel in Scottsdale is for you! What really makes this place stand out are the people! It’s a family! Everyone is so caring and helpful!"
