"The rooms are great and well maintained assistance in cleaning every other week the food is great as well quite a few options the services outstanding we're showing a great deal of respect by all of those that serve us here at the varina that more than outstanding willing to help with anything I was ill had two surgeries on my back and neck doing the time of my rehab I received assistance and all that I needed during my time of recovery my food was brought to my room I was contacted as to whether I wanted to eat or not again I feel that this place is full of love joy and concern for each other pet friendly truly this feels just like home with plenty of great neighbors if you're like me with no family here in Arizona I have found a new family here at the varina there is plenty to do well planned activities daily"

"We went to The Oaks in Gilbert. The people there were wonderful. The food was amazing. The place was clean and homey. All the residents there were happy and always wanted to include everybody in what they were doing. It was just an awesome place. Kevin is the best. He gives a great tour. He answers all your questions. We met the physical therapist, the nurse, and the activities director. Everybody was super great. We just sat down, and the chef brought us a meal. The food there is top-notch. That was the only one that kind of fit Mom's needs."

"Mom moved in about three weeks ago. I think they do fairly well dealing with her. The staff seems pretty good, so far. The place looks OK and the location works pretty well for me. Mom is in a double room, which works well enough for what she needs."

"My in-laws moved to Inspira Gateway. It was a very modern, clean, and updated space. It had been open only three years, so it was new. The food's good and the apartment is very spacious. They had a lot of offerings. They have trivia night, and several opportunities for movies, bunco, games, and other things. The staff has been extremely helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed."

"The one that stood out was Copper Springs Retirement Community. It felt like home. It was newer than the other two places. It was very nice. It was like a 5-star experience. We felt like we were on a cruise ship. The only negative was - no pool. But everything else was nice. The place was very nice. They had a koi pond when you walked in, and it was very nice. The rooms were nice. But the cheapest room for both of us was ranging over $5200 to $5300 a month, which is a little above what we wanted to pay. However, the staff was very personable, professional, friendly, and very attentive to detail. She was probably the best one so far as being a tour guide."

"Fellowship Square Historic Mesa is what I'm looking for. It's bright. The apartments are good. They're neat, clean and roomy. The staff who gave the tour did very well. She did her job. She showed us around. The residents were eating when we went there. They showed us the exercise room and the library."

"The tour at Oasis At Mesa Palms was sort of strange because I went with a girlfriend, and we just decided to go on our own. It was on a weekend, so it wasn't a formal tour. The one who usually gives the tour wasn't in, so the girl who works behind the desk gave the tour, and she was wonderful. She was very sweet, and she had to give the tour at the last minute. She was very nice, but she wasn't usually the person who gave the tour. The kitchens were better supplied, which really doesn't matter since you're getting your meals, so you don't really need a fully supplied kitchen. Nevertheless, they have a really wonderful kitchen. They have disposals, and they even have dishwashers. They have washers and dryers in each apartment. They provide two meals a day. The staff did the nicest thing. I was having trouble with my back, so she ran and got a wheelchair and pushed me around in it. It wasn't even her job, and she just couldn't be friendlier or nicer. She also told me about the two different floor plans and took me to apartments that had both floor plans to show me the difference."

"It was very nice. They sent me a lunch home with me, and it tasted good. They showed me a room that was being painted and no one was living there. Somebody had just moved out and it was alright. It was fine. I saw their dining room, their meeting room, their living room space, and there was a nice library. It was clean. The staff was very friendly."

"Discovery Point Retirement Community was contained in a big building and there were probably twice as many people. The people were very nice. The dining room was very nice. They had a nice exercise room with nice machines. They had everything you could want there. They had a nice chapel. I am Catholic, so they had kind of one that leaned toward that way. I like Discovery Point, and it would have been my second choice. As far as price, they were each about the same, I think. Everything was very nice and very clean. I praised it highly. It was a very nice building. As for the atmosphere, I felt fine there. It had very long hallways and stuff like that, but everybody had their door or entryway decorated. I was impressed."

"I went to Scottsdale Village Square. They were very, very detailed in the tour. It was pretty quick, but we got through a lot of information. And so, I think the big thing that they hit on was the activities. They had robust activities, which is important for my dad, just because with cognitive decline we want him engaged as much as possible. Scottsdale was also bring your own furniture. The one I looked at was a one-bedroom and we were waiting for a studio, so that's partially the reason why we didn't go to that one, because the only availability was a one-bedroom, which was more expensive obviously. The staff is very knowledgeable and very friendly. I asked a lot of questions and they answered all of them, and it was a pretty quick discussion, but overall they gave some really good information."

"Acoya Mesa was very good. I was impressed with them. They had it together. I went there and they were very professional. They could answer questions for me. The staff was very friendly. I didn't have anybody negative. The work that they do is very difficult. The facility was clean, and that's one thing I look for. I didn't see anything that looked like it had not been cleaned. Everything looked fresh and good."

From the moment Gwen and Stewart found us the perfect floor plan and location, to our first dinner prepared by Chef Swan and wine selected by Dinning Room manager John we knew it was a great location. Rachel and Christina have made dinning in the restaurant and a casual drink at the bar fun! We highly recommend touring this great facility!"
