We chose Brookdale Oro Valley because it felt like home. It is a very loving community. It is very, very good, and I am very happy. The staff are excellent. The food is also great; my husband loves it. They have a lot of individual activities, but no group activities yet. I like the layout. I think it is well done. It is laid out in a kind of a circle with a courtyard in the middle so they can go outside. It is great. There are a few times when we were in quarantine that the food was excellent.

Brookdale Oro Valley was clean. It looked like they kept their residents engaged. It was nice. I was looking for a room where both of my parents can be together, so I guess that's a shared room. I saw them exercising when we first went in. Some of them were doing it in the chair and some of them were standing. Later on when we were done walking through the rooms and everything, I saw a group playing a virtual video game. They were playing Price is Right. I'm not sure if they have a special place for visiting, but they had a place where families could come and eat separate from everyone else.

Brookdale Oro Valley was absolutely wonderful. The difference between a memory care facility and a nursing home is night and day. It is absolutely wonderful but still so expensive. There was a very good staff-to-patient ratio. The community was very active with lots of activities going on. The staff members themselves were very kind and accommodating. I like the whole community, but we are not ready to put Mom in one yet; she can't afford it right now. They took me into the kitchen to meet the chef, who was lovely. She gave me a bag of their freshly made cookies to take home. They had a library, bingo, and music.

I was impressed with Brookdale Oro Valley during my visit. They take you for a walk and take dogs, which is important for my wife. They provide meals and have different individual or social activities. They have activities for memory and discuss things as a group. They also provide therapy. Everything looked good.

Brookdale Oro Valley had a higher ratio of people in wheelchairs, and they were nonverbal, so there was not enough stimulation in the clientele. The site was OK. It was small. It was fine, but it was not going to work for my mom. The director was wonderful. He was very affable. He knew what was going on.

Everyone here has been excellent to Erleen. When she came back after breaking her hip, everyone was so glad to see her.

I visited Clare Bridge of Oro Valley. I was not impressed with it enough that I would have considered having my wife go there. The facility just seemed a little run down.

Do NOT take your loved one here. Despite attempts to get problems fixed they never followed through. Rat, soiled depends left on for hours, and bed sore unnoticed. Horrible place, yet has highest rating for memory care? Scary and sad!
