It was five minutes from my home and it worked out great from me. They were excellent. It was a beautiful home. The staff was very caring, compassionate and accommodating. My dad was on a mechanical soft diet and they were able to accommodate it. He didn't have to be on a regular diet. I would recommend Kindred Homes to others. "

"My father-in-law moved into River Valley Estates Senior Living and Memory Care. When I walked in, it felt calming and was clean and modern. It was updated. It just gave you a good vibe. You felt like this was a nice place to be. They take care of them there and call us if there are any issues. If we have any issues, we call them, and they take good care of them right away. So, I have no complaints. They do different activities with them. There's a set time. They have him doing things. He's not just in his room, which is nice. They make sure that they try to get him out there to go and socialize with them. The dining area is nice and big. The food was good because we ate there with him one day. They give them more than enough. The biggest reason I chose them is because the memory care area is very big and welcoming."

"Paradise Oasis was okay. It was very close to restaurants and stores. It was clean and the rooms were moderate. The staff was nice. There wasn't anything that they necessary needed to improve on. It was just an older home. "

"Ativo Senior Living of Yuma is absolutely beautiful. The quality of the establishment is phenomenal. It's brand new. The cleanliness of it was just excellent. The staff were kind and very caring. They listened and were willing to give any kind of direction that was needed. They realize that we're not looking for a direct home right now. We are looking for the future and what's out there. They realized that it could be eight months to a year basically, but things could change tomorrow, so they were accommodating that way. They offered to come back if my father and I wanted to come back and have a meal. We had been there for prior dementia in service that they had, so we had tasted some of the food that time that they catered in from downstairs. They have a beautiful theater room with very comfortable chairs and a large screen, so the residents would have a very comfortable area. It was just pristine. Their activities depend. You've got the non-memory residents such as assisted living, there are group activities and there are buses to locations to shop. What I thought is very convenient for residents (memory and non-memory) is a beauty shop. That's very important, I feel, to have beauty shop within the location that the residents on both sides can use. The rooms were very accommodating. It depends on your price point, of course. The larger the room, the higher the price point. You've got to consider what a family can afford. Like we're looking for the memory and there are not a lot of options out there because of the patient-staff ratio, which I found very good in the locked unit plus in the residence unit (the other side). The room was accommodating for what the price points are. The food was very, very tasty. Especially with the diabetic foods that we tasted, I thought it was good. "

"The facility is a remodeled home that houses about 8 different people that have assisted living needs. They take care of people with special needs and also people that are just too old to take care of themselves. The only complaint I have would be the food. For I think thanksgiving I went to visit my grandmother to bring her food, and she was exteremely greatful because they had only fed them hotdogs. The backyard is kind of run down. Lots of dead grass and dirt. But there is a lot of room. I see people frequently take walks. "
