Two months ago, we placed my mother in Saguaro Ranch. It was a smaller facility with more patient care one-on-one. The ratio of caregiver to patient was less than in the bigger facilities. The facility is wonderful, the food is good, and the care is wonderful. The patient staff ratio is 5:1. There are 10 rooms with private baths. It's a home setting, but it's not a home -- it's intended to be an adult care home. Her room is spacious compared to almost everything else we looked at. They have various activities, but the rest of the family members say that she's pretty interactive everyday with some kind of project.
