"It was wonderful. I really liked the staff members. They were very involved with everyone. It had a homey and friendly vibe. Everybody knew everyone. They seemed to have a lot of activities. They had an enclosed courtyard that was gorgeous and very large, so people could go in there to walk around and sit comfortably. Some of the homes opened up into the courtyard, so that was gorgeous. It was definitely a place that I would be willing to stay myself. The rooms were very nice and were a good size. They were on par with everybody else's room sizes. Their kitchen area was not a full kitchen. It was just a refrigerator and a microwave. They have a menu that you can choose items off of. There was a daily menu that you get to pick and choose from. Then if you didn't want something from that, you had a standard menu that you could choose something else from. It was a very clean place."

"Inspira Gateway was new. It's kind of bright and sparkly. It's a smaller community with a smaller population, but it's a lovely place. It has an onsite heated pool and a PT/rec room. They had a full activities calendar and transportation. The dining area was lovely with cloth napkins and clean tabletops. It looked like a restaurant. They have a special menu each day and a special item, and then also an everyday menu that you can use. They also have 24-hour access to a bistro with fruit, a coffee bar, drink bar, and a dairy case or a refrigerated case of snacks. I liked it. The staff was great."

"My friend -- Gloria -- is really pleased. The staff is wonderful, so I think she's really learning that this is a great place for her. It's a beautiful place. I wouldn't mind living there. They have a lot of courtyard areas with lots of greenery, and the building itself is pretty with lots of arches and doorways that just add some more architecture to it. I was really impressed with it, and the food is good too. I definitely will recommend this community.They're allowed to go to doctor's appointments three times a week. The other days, they have trips to Walmart, to Dairy Queen, or to a shopping mall. It's the way to get people moving around and get them out and also a chance for them to get their need. Gloria was in a wheelchair until about two weeks ago, and now she's on a walker so she can get around better. When I started looking into this community, I met Kim. She might be the intake coordinator. She helped me so much. She helped me right and left. I couldn't have asked for more help. I was really impressed. "

"My mother was here for a year and half. She just passed away a couple of weeks ago. It was a very good place, and I would highly recommend it. The staff was very good and very helpful. The rooms were great. She had a first floor room, and it faced the swimming pool. It was very nice. She did not attend much on activities because she was 99 years old, but she did a little bit of chair exercise and bingo once in a while."

"Infinite Care in Chandler was immaculate. It smelled terrific and they had an availability. The problem is that my husband is more severe than the other residents in the household. They're more ambulatory and they're verbal, and he's not. He's in a wheelchair and he's not verbal at all. So, their level of care wasn't sufficient. Other than that, it was an beautiful place. The owners are just wonderful people. The rooms were a nice size. They shared a bathroom and they had a master bedroom, but somebody was occupying it. They have a nice little yard out in the backyard and the meals they cooked look good. They have a living room with a big TV in it."

"Brookdale East Arbor (Formerly Sterling House of Mesa) was a little smaller, a little more intimate, and not as flashy as the other place, but it's good in different ways. The rooms and apartments were small. Their dining room was also smaller, but it was very nice, and they had linens on the table, like a small restaurant. The staff mentioned some activities, but we didn't see any, except for lunch happening in the dining room. The activities were minimal, but some residents would like the lack of structure and more intimate feeling of the place. "

"Cadence Living Chandler is a lovely place and they have a whole lot of wonderful amenities. It would be, from what I saw, a great place to live. They have a lot of activities. I liked everything we saw. I didn't see anything much that we didn't like at all. What my husband specifically liked was that they had a great arts and crafts room. It's a very sunny, open, bright arts and crafts room. We liked the fact that you can eat any time of the day, get juice, some water, or if you want some wine any time of the day, just come and get it. There are a lot of really nice amenities for those who can afford them. You don't have to bring anything. They have everything that's supposed to be in the kitchen, and they have the washer and dryer. The staff during the tour was very amenable. She showed me everything and she described everything to me and answered all my questions. I already had a friend that lived there and she invited us over for lunch. They have a pool, outdoor spaces, and a garden."

"My husband has moved into Heritage Village. It's very nice. Everyone thinks they're in a hotel. The room is rather nice. They have big wooden tables for people to sit around. There's a big picture window that faces a garden area. They can't go out there, but it's very visual for watching the rain or birds. I like the staff. I think they're very good. They're very warm, caring, and very supportive. They have activities for assisted living. There's not much to do for memory care, but most of them can't participate in activities. There're no locks on the doors, which aggravates my husband because he's not completely deficient in his memory. So, it disturbs him that he doesn't have more to do, but he's a flight risk. He tries to break out, that's why he's there. The food looks pretty good to me. There's fruit with breakfast and French toast. I haven't seen the dinners, but the breakfasts always look great. I have no complaints. The staff all seem fine to me, even the nonprofessionals are very sweet. I see them sitting outside. They did take them out for Christmas to see the lights, in a bus, and got them ice cream and stuff. The food looks great, and the facility it's very clean. It's kind of expensive, but I think the price was worth it at this point. If I could move into assisted living, it would be lower. They told me it would come down if they could move him to less secure, he's in top security. I thought it was a good choice."

"My second choice would have been Acoya Mesa. We toured the facility and it was just beautiful. They have a lot of activities going on. It's just a big facility and they have in their dining room, an actual cook. It was nice but we just couldn't afford it. My dad went with us during the tour, and the staff who assisted us talked to my dad and they were just nice. It was just the cost of the place. I ate dinner there and it was very good. And my dad too, and he ate all his food, and they just have a wide selection. I was impressed. the cleanliness of the facility was really good."

"Solterra is a privately owned facility. It was another place that I had good feeling about. I like Solterra. It didn't smell. The memory care area, which is what I need, was quieter, which is OK. The people were nice. The residents were happy; they were all smiles. There seemed to be a lot of outdoor capabilities with the residents. They have a big fountain that residents could sit around in and drink their coffee. "

"After touring 20 different facilities, Legacy stood out from all the others. It's light, bright, clean and homey. The apartments are very large with different floor plans available. The staff is amazing and always willing to go the extra mile if needed. The incredible thing to me is how many staff members have been there 5, 10, fifteen years. Legacy obviously treats their employees well and hire quality people! Our mom has met many new friends, is participating in activities, and and is happy she is there! After almost two months of living at Legacy, she refers to it as home!!! Our family could not be more grateful to the Legacy staff and residents!!! "

"Brookdale Chandler Regional was a very nice facility. The woman who I toured with was very helpful. I liked this facility very much. The staff was very professional and friendly. I looked into the dining room, and it was very nice. The facility was very clean and very appealing. I would recommend the facility because of the different levels of care that you can get. It's more of a menu-type thing, which is good because, in some of the facilities, you have to pay for stuff that you may or may not need."
