I am/was a resident of this facility

I moved into Heritage Village Assisted Living & Memory Care. They're very caring people that help take care of things. If you need help, they're right there. The food is good, and I gained weight, and that's not good. It's a very friendly place. They have someone they call a housemother, and she runs around a lot, comes in, and makes sure everything's all right. You can always call her if you need something. I've never had an issue since I've been here. The staff is so helpful. The facility is very clean. It's perfect. If there's a mess, it's taken care of right away. Places like this are expensive. This place is very close to my daughter's house. I'm only a half-mile away from her.

Overall, Heritage Village Assisted Living & Memory Care was clean. The staff was helpful. The room was OK. I really didn't see exactly any other activities because nobody was really doing anything when I was there. I didn't sample the food, but the dining area looked nice.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband has moved into Heritage Village. It's very nice. Everyone thinks they're in a hotel. The room is rather nice. They have big wooden tables for people to sit around. There's a big picture window that faces a garden area. They can't go out there, but it's very visual for watching the rain or birds. I like the staff. I think they're very good. They're very warm, caring, and very supportive. They have activities for assisted living. There's not much to do for memory care, but most of them can't participate in activities. There're no locks on the doors, which aggravates my husband because he's not completely deficient in his memory. So, it disturbs him that he doesn't have more to do, but he's a flight risk. He tries to break out, that's why he's there. The food looks pretty good to me. There's fruit with breakfast and French toast. I haven't seen the dinners, but the breakfasts always look great. I have no complaints. The staff all seem fine to me, even the nonprofessionals are very sweet. I see them sitting outside. They did take them out for Christmas to see the lights, in a bus, and got them ice cream and stuff. The food looks great, and the facility it's very clean. It's kind of expensive, but I think the price was worth it at this point. If I could move into assisted living, it would be lower. They told me it would come down if they could move him to less secure, he's in top security. I thought it was a good choice.

I chose Heritage Village Assisted Living & Memory Care, because of the location and the ability to live in your own small 15-person or so building, not having to be among hundreds of people all the time. The food here is very good. My room is very nice. They actually had a community luncheon where they took them to a restaurant yesterday. There would also be an outing coming up to go to Walmart next week. They have a nail salon, too. They're just great, helpful, and professional people.

Heritage Village Assisted Living & Memory Care were very helpful right from the get-go. They kept the appointment as they were supposed to. They were very open about what services they provided and how much it would cost. I did not get a salesman feeling from them, whereas I did from some of the other places. Others were a little pushy. Heritage Village was not, and that made a big difference to me. Now that mom has moved into their memory care, I'm extremely happy with the service. They've been very attentive to her needs. Everything that they said they were going to do, they did. They even moved her into a new facility. They gave me a discounted rate for the move-in. Their prices are extremely competitive. So, I would highly recommend them to anybody looking to have a loved one cared for. Mom seems happy with the food as well. There's a nice little outside area at each of the houses, so they could sit outside, and they have an activity guy running around the different houses.

I was not impressed with the staff at the Heritage Village Assisted Living & Memory Care. I was impressed with the facility. The only thing I didn't like about the facility was that they were separated into houses. The houses were very nice, but there really wasn't much in each of the houses. There was just one central sitting room for all the activities, the eating, the kitchen, the living room, the dining room, and the activity room. They are all one big room. There was no no getting away from that. It was all central in one area, and it was just like a big house. There wasn't much in terms of any kind of independence or privacy. I did not try the food, but I was really impressed with their kitchen. It looked like a chef's kitchen, and it smelled good. It seemed like the food offerings were very healthy and fresh. It's really too far from us.

My husband is in memory care at Heritage Village. So far, so good. He hasn't been there very long, and we're still in the adjustment period. The staff members I've dealt with have been very helpful and very nice. I've only seen the apartment building from the outside, but it's very nice, and apparently it's fairly new. I also know that they try to keep them active, and apparently he is participating. That's really all I know at this point. This is all very new to me, and with the virus, you don't get to go in and physically look at things. The facility was very nice, and when I went into the office area, it was very nice and very clean, too. The value for the money seems to be comparable to most other facilities, and everybody seems to charge the same amount for the same care.

Heritage Village Assisted Living looked nice, but it wasn't what we were looking for, and it's more expensive. The apartment we showed looked nice, although it's smaller and more expensive than my dad's current place. I met a few of the staff members and they seemed pretty nice. Their dining area was alright, but they didn't have a lot of the extra amenities and things to do so much. The place itself was pretty clean. I didn't see any activities at all during my tour. They were all in like little separate smaller communities but each one has their own controlled central area with different layouts. It looked nice.

Heritage Village was a very nice place, I liked the way that they had the community setup; it's not the traditional assistant living layout that I am used to seeing. It was more family style living and houses, so I thought that was a very interesting concept. The bedrooms were fairly small; I think that would need getting used to for some people, but the amenities that they have were very nice, and the staff was very kind. It was probably more money that we were looking to spend, but it was very nice.

Heritage Village Assisted Living is a brand-new, beautiful facility for long-term care. There are 16 people per house. It’s sort of like a home with a kitchen in the middle. It’s very nice, well done, and well built. The staff is fabulous. They were having dinner when we went there, so that was nice. They had a salon and other activities like exercise, singing, and music.

They didn’t know I was coming to Heritage Village. The place was very small, and they had elderly people sitting everywhere all squashed in together. The kitchen was bigger than the place for them to sit and watch TV. They showed me a room where my friend could take a shower, and she told me a little bit about it. They might be very good at taking care of the patients, but not talking to people.

I like everything about Heritage Village. It's new, small, and very personalized, and I like the location. The staff is very good, very compassionate, helpful, and kind. It's a new place; so they're modern, convenient, with nice showers, and nice bathrooms.
