My mother has moved into Park Senior Villas. It's a new concept. There are eight villas, and they're self-sustaining except for meals. It's one story, and it's not institutionalized. It's just very lovely. There are lots of greenbelts and beautiful patios. Each villa has its own separate dining room, which is nice. It's very different from the other two-story type of facilities. The care is great, and they have a nurse that comes every week. It's very well planned. She has not complained about the food. They have a lot of activities. I did get to meet with the activity director. They have bingo, crafts, and movie night. They have birthdays for everybody once a month. It's well thought out especially for memory care because there's not a lot of capabilities in these patients. It's super clean and there's no smell. Value for money is crazy, but it's worth it. Her room looks just like her master bedroom at home. It's got beautiful flooring, and you're able to bring in all your furniture. She's got a private room, a big, nice bathroom, and a big closet.

Park Senior Villas is a beautiful facility. Everybody there was top-notch. I loved their villas. I don't have any concerns per se with them. If, for whatever reason the other place didn't work out, I feel like Park Senior would be a very comparable and acceptable runner-up. My issue with Park Senior is that they won't do anything with my mother as far as her being a seamstress. They won't allow her a pet or even the visitation of a pet without her being private pay. That seems a little odd to me. If you're private pay, you can have a pet, but if you're not private pay, you can't have a pet. I don't mean to use the word discriminatory, but it feels a little discriminatory to me, so I didn't love that. However, one thing that I liked about Park Senior was that it seemed to have like a step-down from one villa to where you've got residents that have dementia needing memory care along with assisted living residents. I like that the facility was very bright, laid out very well, and very clean. It felt more like a community and less like a nursing home. We were able to interact a little bit with the staff there. They were more involved with the residents, as they should have been. They were very friendly, and they greeted us. It's a beautiful establishment. It felt more business-like. It was quiet, calm, and peaceful. It probably leaned a little bit more to an institutional sort of sterile versus I-just-walked-into-somebody's-home. The sizes of the rooms were compatible with the others. This is where things just felt a little invalid to me. The semi-private room that they would put my mom in overlooked the dog park, but because she's a semi-private client, she's not allowed to have her dog, so I didn't love that. They should not put residents at the dog park if they're not allowed to use it.

PARK Senior Villas - Chandler was very clean and open. There's a huge outdoor area for the residents to be in. The rooms were large. The staff was very friendly. They had several dining rooms. Emily was delightful to talk to, was very patient with my mom, and seemed very friendly to the residents as we passed them.

We visited the whole area of Park Senior Villas, including their assisted living and memory care, and they were great. I liked that it was one story, that they have a salon, a movie room, activities, and bars in the hallway for the seniors to grab hold of. They also have outdoor gardening using raised beds for people who want to garden. The receptionist was nice, but when I went in with my mom the second time, some of the people were leaning way over on the couch, asleep. They weren't paying attention. I understand it's memory care, but it seems like they weren't paying attention to the people in wheelchairs.

This facility in Chandler is wonderful! It is clean, bright, and has wonderful staff and food! They have many activities for their residents. The staff is so kind and respectful. They have a movie theater, crafts, salon, and my Mom's personal favorite...ice cream! The food is delicious! It is a very tough decision to place a loved one anywhere, but I have been very pleased with this choice. When it is my turn, I hope I can find a place such as this. I get peace of mind, knowing that my Mom is well cared for. Thank you Park Senior Villas Chandler!

My mom is in Park Senior Villas - Chandler. We chose it for the cleanliness, the availability, and the difference between its layout and others. And in meeting their staff and seeing their helpfulness throughout the whole thing. I truly like the caregivers and the cleanliness and the fact that my mom likes them all. They have a very good chef right there in her building, and the food is always fresh and hot and she enjoys it. It's a very easy layout, no climbing of stairs, just individual buildings with 10 rooms in each one. They have a gym, a salon, a movie theater, and a park in the middle of all the buildings. There's a greenery area, large patios with furniture, and big umbrellas giving shade. It's a good value because I've checked many of them and there are a lot that are higher, and others that are lower, but you pay for what you get.
