This place does not have medical emergency systems nor does it have dining or transportation. Someone needs to change these things about this complex. They also allow smoking and my friends apts. stinks all the time of stale cigarette smoke. Tenant complained and nothing has been done to fix this problem. I thought Federally funded housing is suppose to be smoke free, but not this place!

Del Coronado Senior Apartments is in a very nice neighborhood. It is a nice facility. I think the apartments could be a little bigger, but this is the first time I have ever lived in an apartment, so it is a big adjustment for me. It's got a really nice big bathroom. They don't have medical bathtubs, but I know for a fact that they will make adjustments for individuals.

Del Coronado is just like an apartment and it’s not too expensive. The apartment is nice, clean and well-kept. If you prefer to bring your own furniture, it’s fine. Each resident has their own apartment with a kitchenette and one bedroom, and they do have the emergency call system. They provide two meals a day, five days a week, and on the weekends there’s kind of a buffet. I have a brother that lived here before; he said the people were quite nice. I haven’t tried the food yet, but everybody that I talked to said it was good. The dining area is nice -- like a restaurant style -- and large enough to accommodate everybody, so it never gets crowded. They have an activity calendar, they have activities outside and a bus service to take them shopping.
