We have anywhere from independent and very active to full care residents. There is a place for everyone at Arroyo Gardens!
What programs or activities does Arroyo Gardens offer to enrich residents' well-being?
We run a full activity schedule 7 days a week focusing on what our residents can do and keeping them moving and thinking.
What places are near Arroyo Gardens or within walking distance for assisted living residents to enjoy?
There are churches, restaurants, walking trails and more.
What transportation services does Arroyo Gardens offer to assisted living residents?
We have a full transportation/shuttle buses that take the residents on fun outings, shopping, to professional appointments and more.
What makes the chef or dining program at Arroyo Gardens exceptional? What kind of menu can assisted living residents expect?
We have a gourmet menu with a full restaurant experience at Arroyo Gardens. We can also accommodate special requests and diets.
What safety features or security measures does Arroyo Gardens offer to assisted living residents?
We have 24 hour emergency call systems in every room and bathroom and lanyard pendants that the residents can wear as well.
How does Arroyo Gardens keep residents' families informed about their loved ones?
We have quarterly service plan meetings to inform the families of the care of their loved ones as well as constant communication of any change or need.
What is the care staff-to-resident ratio at Arroyo Gardens during daytime and nighttime hours?
1:7 Day Time with Caregivers JUST giving care. 1:10 at night.

We accept small dogs and cats that are friendly. We have a dog park and walking trails to enjoy.

We have numerous Dementia Practitioners certified through the Alzheimer's Association as well as Licensed nurses, ongoing in service training and continuing education courses online.

65+, they enjoy shopping, BINGO, Wii Bowling, Walking Trails, card games, Poker, Wine down Wednesday and any social gathering.
What are some recent off-site events that the community activity director at Arroyo Gardens has organized?
The residents have gone shopping at a local mall, gone to the Casino, out for lunch/ice cream, site seeing, etc.
What safety features or security measures does Arroyo Gardens provide to protect residents who wander?
We have a fully secured Memory Care (Casa Bonita) that ensures all that wander are kept safe.
Who assesses residents' health and cognitive functioning? How often is that assessment repeated?
Our Health and Wellness Nurse does the assessments and repeats the care plans as needed or quarterly.
What techniques does Arroyo Gardens use to support memory care residents during mealtimes?
We can assist feedings, encourage eating, and cue when needed.

We are located behind the Fire Department, near restaurants and churches as well as many neighborhoods.

We have Santa Cruz Regional Hospital as well as St Mary's Hospital close by in the case of an emergency. We also have Santa Rita Rehab on campus with us.

We are setting a new standard in care and offer a warm, friendly environment for a safe and engaging lifestyle. In addition to all of our amenities, supportive services such as bathing, dressing, transportation, and medication assistance are available. A call system with continuous monitoring and response is provided for safety. A personalized plan of care will be developed and a registered nurse is available 24/7 for immediate attention. Studio apartments, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and extra large two-bedroom suites are available.
Casa Bonita (Memory Care)
If you or a loved one is ever in need of memory care, our neighborhood is a beautiful environment dedicated to optimizing lives of those with cognitive impairment. Each resident will be treated individually and allowed to flourish in a family-like atmosphere. Studio apartments are available with private showers for convenience and dignity. Arroyo Gardens is setting a new standard in memory care with Casa Bonita. Diane Mockbee has been our consultant in creating a new and innovative memory care program. Diane specializes in activity programs for residents with Dementia, we are using her expertise to create a memory care program for your loved ones. Aroma therapy, music and art are some of the techniques we use at Arroyo Gardens to stimulate participants and enrich life.
