Office management provides no communication. They do not return phone calls and messages. We have been waiting 7 weeks for a status update on a refund due.

Room was a nice size and well-worn, somewhat like a motel room that has been well-used. There was no reading light for my wife at her bed. One was torn off the wall, the other did not work. Staff such as nurses, nutritionist, PT, OT did a very good job and were caring and professional. The management was neither. The head "case manager" was not at all patient oriented, and not interested in the least in involving family in the decision-making process. The social worker was for the most part invisible. Surprisingly the food in the dining room was better than most corporate chain restaurants such as Olive Garden and Cracker Barrel. The selection for patients was very nice and the quality of food provided in the patient's rooms was very good in our experience. The dining room is a very comfortable place to eat with your patient. Do not expect an individual program plan to be provided to patient or family members or any transparency on the part of management. The true professionals such as PT and OT do very well in that regard and communicate regularly with patient and family. Kudos to them.

I’ll keep this simple. Poor to no communication from caseworkers or social workers. Administration is poor! Nurses and CNAs are always short handed and can’t give proper care. They do their best. PT and OT services are fair at best. Do not send your loved ones here. As the hospital doctor told me prior to discharge to this facility …. this place looks good from the outside but the care is poor. He was correct.

I was at Sandstone Estates. The people were fabulous, but the process they had was nothing. I would call a nurse and it would take them 45 minutes to an hour to come back. They didn't do any rehab, really. They didn't call in any other doctors to evaluate me or anything. I just sat there. The only way I got to go outside for a little while was when my husband came. It was not a pleasant place. The food was like hospital food. The rooms were dark, so it made you feel like you were in a cave.
