I am so sad that I have to leave my home at The Park at Surprise. I live in the 2bedroom den style on the 1st floor that is 1100 square feet I believe. My patio and windows face the pretty courtyard, they remind me of my travels in Europe. I am leaving bc my health has declined, I didn't want to bring caregivers into my home to prolong the short term time I have per my Doctor. My Daughter up north in Az wanted me closer to her and to be in a Assisted Living just in case. I understand that is what is needed, but its so bitter sweet. On the other hand, it is time. I have made so many friends here, staff and residents. When everyone on the web or in this building talks about how The Park is like a Family...well its because it really is. I have friends that live at other buildings like this, I visit frequent for Bridge games. This place place really does feel warm and welcoming. You feel safe, you feel valued. We are all honored by the staff but not on a pedestal, its just different here. The food is great, nobody is perfect though. Everyone has different tastes and views for themselves... so I say try the food yourself and be the judge. You'll love the place and the food, the staff will be that extra bonus.

The Park at Surprise was very nice. The facility had lovely furniture and furnishings. It was really very high class. It was a very new facility. We saw a 2-bedroom apartment and it was very nice. We had lunch there, and the food was very tasty. We went to different rooms where they had classes and activities, and they all looked very nice.

We have been a part of The Park at Surprise since March 2020, pretty much from the beginning. Me and my husband moved from Sun City Grand from a large home, did not even think about moving. Until we came and saw this place and the people in it. We are past our three year mark now, and we couldn’t be more happier. We live in the large Casita that is 1,450 square feet. We are definitely not going anywhere. The staff here is family to us, just like the other residents here. The food is amazing, the activities is always outstanding, all the way down to the magnificent housekeeping. "C" has been with the building from the very beginning, he is our confidant but also our adopted son lol. He used to be the Director of community relations over here, now he is in the ED position. That just shows you how this company treats their employees, and it shows through and though. We can’t say enough about our home and extended family. From house keeping to the chef. You all are the rock of this building. Thank you for everything.

My tour at The Park at Surprise was excellent. It was clean. It was beautiful and well-cared for. The residents intermingled. They were happy, and they were doing things. They have about any kind of games you want. They have lots of exercises. They have a gym and also a fitness trainer that will help them. They also have a walking club. They do Wii bowling. They have a barbershop or a salon, plus a pedicure and manicure station. The staff who worked with me, Brandi, was great. She was very accommodating. She answered all my questions, and she freely let me talk to residents. She also showed me the different ways of doing things there. For example, my mom has a dog, and she showed us where the dog would go to potty. I liked the smallness of the area. There are only about 85 residents. I didn't try the food, but the residents said it was really good. They could order whatever they wanted. It was a wonderful facility.

We are in our 3rd year at The Park and have only the highest praise for the facilities and the staff. The property is beautiful, well-kept, and very welcoming, easy to get around. The staff is completely dedicated to the safety, comfort, activity, health and welfare of the residents. The apartments and casitas are very attractively designed with excellent utilities. In addition to the customary amenities (beauty salon, movie theater, exercise space/equipmnt, craft room, etc.), there are various 'helps' in place (rehab/exercise professionals, for one) or regularly scheduled (e.g. podiatrist). In addition to the lovely dining room there is The Bistro cafe for lunching and socializing with friends. I urge everyone considering or curious about life in an assisted living facility to see The Park at Surprise first.

Big Decision

It was a big decision almost four years ago, but it was the correct one. I sold my house and moved into The Park at Surprise. Some of the faces may have changed over the years, but the quality has remained the same. From the smile from the receptionist to each of the other employees, it is a happy atmosphere. And that is not to mention the excellent management, delicious food, and great friends I have met.

I went to The Park at Surprise. I only saw one place that a friend of mine lived in, and that was a casita. They give you breakfast for seven days but just five dinners a week and that's it. To me, that's not good because you have to cook for the weekend, and you still have to go and shop, buy lunch and stuff like that. It was expensive. The halls were nice. My friend has passed away but she had a casita, which was very nice. It was semi-detached.

The Park at Surprise was wonderful, but it was just really expensive. It's a beautiful place. They have a beautiful exterior and interior. The apartment was wonderful, and the tour was great. The staff was very informative. He sat down with me and went over the different areas. Then he asked if I had questions. He followed up. It was a great experience going to The Park at Surprise. They have an exercise room. They have a game room, and they do have a beauty/barber salon.

The Park at Surprise was a close second for us, but it didn't have food 5 days a week, 3 meals a day. It's independent living and it is absolutely beautiful when you walk in. Everyone was very cordial and knowledgeable. The reason we're going to a retirement home is that I'm tired of cooking. I don't want to have to do what's for lunch and what's for dinner and it turned out they don't serve 3 meals a day every day but the other places do. The place was spic and span, very attractive and it was very light and airy with big rooms.

I went to the Park at Surprise to see their independent living. It was beautiful, clean, and new. I really liked the room. I went to one of the casitas or villas (that is what they call them), and that really impressed me. The only thing is that it was quite away from everything. I'd go get a scooter, so I can get around better because I have a cane right now. I get tired if I walk too long. The person who helped me out was very polite and kind. The dining area was nice. They also have a little bistro.

The Park at Surprise was very, very satisfactory. They have second floor balconies, studios with a small office space, as well as one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They have every kind of activity, from some crazy game they call "roll the ball and something," and a workout room. They were outstanding, very friendly, very informative, and they were some of the most professional I've seen.

The Park at Surprise is beautiful and only a year old. The apartments are really nice. The only staff that I interacted with was the front desk and the gentleman who gave me the tour. He was the manager, I think. What I was looking at was a 1-bedroom den apartment and it was absolutely beautiful. It has two bathrooms, a nice kitchen, all new appliances, and granite countertops. It had a fireplace.

My mom already decided and she already moved in to The Park at Surprise. It's brand new, the price of it fits her budget, and she likes the food. She loves it and we have no complaints. It's very modern. She likes that it's all new appliances and it actually is really good for her. They've got a theatre, crafts, they've got all of the card games, and they always have happy hour every afternoon. She likes the layout because if she does tour left around the inside of the building that equals one mile, so she can exercise.

I went to the Park at Surprise. It's brand new and it's very nice, but it was just too expensive. The rooms were beautiful, very nice, all updated with ceramic and beautiful flooring, and everything was top of the line. They have a beautiful pool, they take you places, and there's a couple of different options as far as restaurants: they have a bistro and a regular restaurant that you can choose from. I would have loved it there, but I couldn't afford it.
