"American Orchards is the third facility I have place my mom into in the past three years. I wish it had been my first. I have two facilities to compare American Orchards to and I can honestly say there is no comparison. These previous facilities made promises they couldn’t keep, provided subpar care that was borderline neglect, provided terrible meals. I visited my mom every day just to ensure she was ok and was getting things she needed. American Orchards is priced higher than most facilities I have researched but the excellent care she receives and the relief of concern and stressful situations we endured is worth every penny. You definitely get what you pay for. My mom is in a facility because she needs care and American Orchards provides excellent, quality care. All of the employees are friendly, helpful and show genuine concern for my mom’s wellbeing. They provide quality meals with many choices. Before, I would find my mom in the same clothes for days until “I” changed her. At American Orchards, she is in new, clean clothes every day. Care givers look in on my mom and take time to visit and talk with her, watch tv with her in her room, make her feel loved. American Orchards has an onsite nurse, 24/7. I would receive a phone call at least once a week, if not more, from her previous facilities that my mom had fallen, was sick, had edema, rashes, bed sores, etc. In the six months my mom has been at American Orchards, I have not received one call of concern. If I have a question, concern or suggestion, someone is available to talk with me or I will receive a phone call within a few hours. I highly recommend American Orchards. I still visit my mom every day but it is because I want to and not because I have to."

"Three years ago, it became necessary that we find a place that could care for our 90 year-old Grandmother, who was mobile and in a walker, but who suffered from extreme dementia, Alsheimer's Disease, was pretty much deaf. She was generally sweet when I visited, but I was aware as to how difficult and challenging she could be at times. Grandma didn't ever want to come back to California, so I looked around the area where she lived, and I found The Frontier House. I knew right away that this was the place for her, because it was such a "Home" setting, with others in various conditions that she would have the ability to interact with others, in or near her situation. Well, Grandma recently passed, and I couldn't be more grateful for the awesome Administrator and Staff for the wonderful care that they provided to her throughout her stay. I visited her often, and each time I visited, I came out feeling more empathy for the Staff (of which there always seemed to be a very low turnover rate) than I did Grandma. In the three years of her stay with the family at the Frontier House, I must say that I never had a complaint or concern as to how Grandma was cared for. These are special people, and I felt the setting to be wonderful, with home-cooked meals, a big old loving dog available if she wanted, and chickens in the backyard. Sure. The fact that their rates were so reasonable was attractive, but the feeling, the setting, the ever so friendly and attentive Staff was the clincher for us. I hope they are still in operation if and when I ever require after-care. God Bless these awesome people! Put them on your list of places to consider, if you'll take my experienced advice. I give them all Excellent. (P.S. There's nothing like walking in and seeing people doing keroke in the living room.) Good Luck to you!"

"This is a skilled and rehabilitation facility. They have 136 beds. It is a one story building. This facility is very clean and smells good. They have a good staff of housekeeping and the building is well maintained. The building is divided into halls or wings for the more skilled, rehab, and long term care residents. They have a separate locked unit for dementia residents. They have a central dining room where they serve three meals a day and snacks. They have a dietician for special diets. There is not much variety. The dementia unit has a separate dining room. They also have their formal dining room where residents have more variety for choices. The food in the formal dining room is good. They have a new in house doctor in November coming. They also have RNs and LPNs on staff and call 24/7. The caregivers are all certified. They work with residents and families to assess and obtain insurances and therapies needed. The staff seems to be good. They offer a variety of therapies for residents as physical,occupational, speech,and a variety of treatment options. They also do out patient therapy. They have a great activities department so there are a lot in house group and one on one activities. They do lots of outings to restaurants, casino,shopping, and community events. This is a nice clean facility and seems to offer lots of options for residents. "

"This is nice assisted private home. It is an older medium sized,well maintained home nestled in the beautiful tall pines in Payson.There is a lot of greenery and flowers with pretty rock formations. Actually this owner has two homes there. One is for 10 residents, and the other 5. The rooms are private and semi-private with shared and private baths.All are handicapped equipped. Both homes have well maintained and enclosed backyards. One has a back porch and the other a deck where residents can see the views and walk around. They offer three meals a day and snacks, The food is all home cooked with a variety of choices. It is very good. They do all three levels of care. They have a house doctor and nurse practitioner who come in. The caregivers are all certified. The staff and owner seem very nice and caring. They can provide transport to appointments if necessary. The activities there are based on the residents level of function so there is a lot of one on one. They do play bingo and cards,do exercises, watch movies,have parties and entertainment comes in. They have a senior center close that sends a bus for the residents. Also, the owner takes residents out shopping, to restaurants,and events. They have a big rodeo yearly they go too and they go out for holiday events. This is a great home in a quiet, peaceful place with a great staff. All the residents there are happy as well. "
