"We liked Revel Vegas. They had a nice dining area. Michelle was very nice and gave a lot of information. They had a lot of activities and great amenities. They had bus rides and food. They had everything. They had a theater. It's just the price was too high for us, but overall, it was a great place. We never ate there, but it was a very nice dining room."

"I toured Truewood by Merrill, Henderson. The place is classy, comfortable, and clean. The people were helpful and the residents were friendly. I didn't look directly at the pool or the exercise area, but they did have it. I pretty much looked at the room. I've seen how the rooms looked. I've seen how the front area looked. It's pretty much quick. I had enough information that I needed to know. I told her not to worry about taking me everywhere, but we just looked at a couple of places and I got the feel of a place. I understand what it would be like if I were to live there. The staff was polite and informative. I liked what they were doing. I felt comfortable there. If I need a place like that, I'll go."

"I went to see Cactus Valley Retirement Resort, an independent living community. It was nice and clean, but it included all three meals, which is not something I'm interested in. Otherwise, it was pretty good even though the apartments were a little small. They have many activities and a movie theater. They also have a lot of amenities that are very nice to have in a place. I just don't want to have to pay for 3 meals a day when I'm probably not going to eat."

"We toured Vista Park Retirement Community. They're nice. They're outgoing, and they offer all sorts of moving services, all sorts of things that would come up that you wouldn't think of when moving or transitioning. They could handle everything. They only had two-bedroom units available. Wendy was like an encyclopedia. She knows all the answers, all the people who get in touch with her, and how to get rid of extra items. We had a bowl of soup and salad. Everything was very clean."

"I toured the City Impact Center Senior Living Center. They're independent, but all the apartments are fitted out for the disabled. It's a four-story building, and they have elevators. They don't have a pool, but they have a workout room and their own post office area. They are right next door to the City Impact Food Bank, so there's always the ease of getting your groceries there. The staff who toured me was great. She was very bright and easy to get along with. It's all enclosed in one building, and I would be able to get into a two-bedroom there. They have adequate parking, but you have to rent a parking space. The one-bedroom is rather on the small side but it appears bright. The apartments are very well-lit. They have 12-foot ceilings with tall windows and nice island kitchens, too. "

"Valley View Senior Apartments is an independent living community. I visited it yesterday and it was very nice and very elegant. I loved it and I would recommend it to anybody. The staff was very nice. They showed me a one-bedroom, and a studio apartment, and they're beautiful. It's clean and lovely. They showed me everything, like the exercise rooms and the outside of the facility. Everything was great. They have a water fountain and a pool, and it was very nice and classy."

"We will move into Heritage Park. They have small apartments. One of the gentlemen I spoke to is a resident, and he said he has lived there for 17 years, so that's what sold me on moving there. It's not an in-and-out type of thing; people stay there for long periods of time. It is a nice place and the people are very nice. It is also affordable. The staff was also very nice."

"My father will be moving into Country Club at Valley View - 55+ Senior Community. It was wonderful, it was clean, and everybody there was friendly. There were lots of activities to do in the clubhouse. They're very professional and knowledgeable about all the units. The apartment was perfect for him. He chose the largest one-bedroom that they have and that'll be great for him. I saw the model only and they can accommodate anything that he needs, if he needs bars and safety rails on the shower, anything like that they can do. They have a library and a hair salon inside the clubhouse that a lady owns and she just rents out the space and cuts hair for people that live there. They have a full kitchen, a barbecue area, a hot tub, and a pool. They were doing water aerobics while I was there touring. They have karaoke nights. They have everything. The dining area was great and very clean."

"I will be moving into Gramercy Parc Senior Apartments. I like the pricing, I like the apartment, I like the location, and I like the activities. They have bingo, trips, and exercises. The apartments had just an average layout. The staff was great. They don't serve food. The place seemed neat and clean."

"Sierra Pines Apartments is a nice place and they had nice apartments. It's quiet. I like their shower, and that was very important to me, because I have trouble getting into showers that have bathtubs. This one doesn't. I believe that the apartment was for a person who was handicapped or had a wheelchair. So, the appliances in the kitchen are kind of low for that reason and then that's why they had a shower that you walk in. Lisa is the one who runs the place and she is very nice and very helpful. She works with you. She won't make it difficult or anything. She's pretty good at what she does and I am very happy with her. I know that when I see her there every day, she'll be fine. Everything was very clean and kept up real nice. It looks pretty safe to go into the pool. The dining area was empty because nobody was there, but it was pretty clean, too. I saw the laundry room and they also have an area where they have computers, if you want to use them."

"Destinations Spring Valley is amazing. The whole team is doing well. They have a pool, games, and people come in for entertainment. The apartments are very nice. Its set-up is totally independent living. They have a buffet setup for different things, but it wasn’t on a regular basis where you could eat there every day. "

"We went to see Carefree Senior Living at The Willows, and it was what I wanted. The rates are good. We put in a deposit, and it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have 30 days, but they said they'll extend it if we don't come out. I loved it. Everybody was kind and nice. The staff showed me around and gave me all the details. The facility was beautiful, with palm trees and grass. They have a community room with a very large saltwater fish tank, and it is just beautiful. They have a beautiful pool. I have a little dog, and they have dog runs. She said there's a park down the street where I can take my dog. The apartments and floorplans were nicely laid out. I was glad when my husband went to see it. He loved it, too. They have all kinds of activities. They have water aerobics, sports things, bingo, and cards."
