"Vista Park Retirement Community was very nice. The building had a different configuration. However, because of its location, the particular room that the staff showed us had a gorgeous panoramic view of Las Vegas. This place appealed to me for that reason. Every unit has a washer and dryer, a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave. The pricing is different because the facility has a swimming pool, a putting green, bocce ball, and horseshoes outside. It also has more land, which is a nice feature. The staff who gave the tour was really good."

"I toured the City Impact Center Senior Living Center. They're independent, but all the apartments are fitted out for the disabled. It's a four-story building, and they have elevators. They don't have a pool, but they have a workout room and their own post office area. They are right next door to the City Impact Food Bank, so there's always the ease of getting your groceries there. The staff who toured me was great. She was very bright and easy to get along with. It's all enclosed in one building, and I would be able to get into a two-bedroom there. They have adequate parking, but you have to rent a parking space. The one-bedroom is rather on the small side but it appears bright. The apartments are very well-lit. They have 12-foot ceilings with tall windows and nice island kitchens, too. "

"My tour of Valley View Senior Apartments was professionally done. The staff were knowledgeable, and they were very familiar with the property. They showed me a studio-sized unit, which was 480 square feet. It was too small for me. Then they showed me a 1-bedroom that was around 600 to 650 square feet. It would have been adequate, but I really liked the 2-bedroom unit. The facility was multistory, but they had elevators, which is what I need. It was an active community, and they have an activity director. They have barbecues on the weekends, and they have activities you can attend. They have a clubhouse, and there's free coffee there. People were playing cards and stuff, so that was nice. However, they don't have a regular dining area. The smallest unit was dark and too small, but the 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom were very nice. Upstairs was very light, clean, and well laid out. The apartment was not too old. Another thing I like is that they have a heated pool outside with very nice palm trees around it. It's open all year round. They have nice areas with picnic tables and walking areas. It's quiet and really pretty. It looks more like you're walking in a resort down on The Strip. The staff who gave me the tour was really nice."

"We will move into Heritage Park. They have small apartments. One of the gentlemen I spoke to is a resident, and he said he has lived there for 17 years, so that's what sold me on moving there. It's not an in-and-out type of thing; people stay there for long periods of time. It is a nice place and the people are very nice. It is also affordable. The staff was also very nice."

"My father will be moving into Country Club at Valley View - 55+ Senior Community. It was wonderful, it was clean, and everybody there was friendly. There were lots of activities to do in the clubhouse. They're very professional and knowledgeable about all the units. The apartment was perfect for him. He chose the largest one-bedroom that they have and that'll be great for him. I saw the model only and they can accommodate anything that he needs, if he needs bars and safety rails on the shower, anything like that they can do. They have a library and a hair salon inside the clubhouse that a lady owns and she just rents out the space and cuts hair for people that live there. They have a full kitchen, a barbecue area, a hot tub, and a pool. They were doing water aerobics while I was there touring. They have karaoke nights. They have everything. The dining area was great and very clean."

"Sierra Pines Apartments is a nice place and they had nice apartments. It's quiet. I like their shower, and that was very important to me, because I have trouble getting into showers that have bathtubs. This one doesn't. I believe that the apartment was for a person who was handicapped or had a wheelchair. So, the appliances in the kitchen are kind of low for that reason and then that's why they had a shower that you walk in. Lisa is the one who runs the place and she is very nice and very helpful. She works with you. She won't make it difficult or anything. She's pretty good at what she does and I am very happy with her. I know that when I see her there every day, she'll be fine. Everything was very clean and kept up real nice. It looks pretty safe to go into the pool. The dining area was empty because nobody was there, but it was pretty clean, too. I saw the laundry room and they also have an area where they have computers, if you want to use them."

"Destinations Spring Valley is amazing. The whole team is doing well. They have a pool, games, and people come in for entertainment. The apartments are very nice. Its set-up is totally independent living. They have a buffet setup for different things, but it wasn’t on a regular basis where you could eat there every day. "

"The rooms at Carefree Senior Living at the Willows were nice. They had a library, a pool, computers, and a room where they could play pool. They had continental breakfast, senior exercises, a lot of activities, and buses to take you places. The staff was very nice."

"I enjoyed my visit while volunteering at this assisted living location. The residents quickly embraced me and treated me like a family member that they had known for years. The staff was very informative and friendly. They have delicious meals that are served to the elderly that live there... and themed events on the holidays with turkey on thanksgiving and ham for easter. Weekly events keep everyone active, as well as allowing the residents to go out and grab some fresh air on bright sunny days. I absolutely loved a resident named Sue while I was there, and I was sad to hear when she passed. The staff makes it fun and I could tell right away that the residents loved being there. Overall, a very nice place for the residents and family can feel comfortable trusting them with their loved ones. Every staff member did their best to ensure the residents were fed, bathed, and needs were met. I can only pray that places like this are around when I am elderly. "

"I had visited Court Senior Apartments. The gentleman that showed me around was professional and personable. He seemed to know his business pretty well. The grounds were well kept. The apartments themselves were of good quality. You can tell that they put a good amount of energy into keeping things looking nice and operating well. I was purposely looking at one of the smaller 1-bedroom places. I knew it was going to be small. It was expected, given the limitations budget-wise that we're working with. It was small, but it was nice. It was a model apartment, so it was very nicely decorated and everything. The lighting was all good. The kitchen area was really nice, as was the bathroom. It was a pretty good size, considering that it was a small apartment. The bedroom had a pretty good amount of room. "

"I think Desert Springs Senior Living is the one my mom likes. My mom likes the people that were there. My mom is in a wheelchair and there was this lady in a scooter. They started talking about the food; my mom really likes her. She thought she would be a good friend. The lady who gave us a tour was really wonderful and she was very knowledgeable. The prices were reasonable. The community was clean and it was friendly. It was just really nice. "

"I like the layout of Las Vegas Manor. It’s kind of like joint cottages, and everything was on the first floor, and had landscaped grounds there or walking path. It looked clean, nice and the room was the right size for me. "

"The Bonanza Pines is like a beautiful, big hotel. If you have dogs, you would be able to take them to an area to walk your dogs or whatever. It has a very good location as well. "

"The Acapella is new, and they have three facilities which are all wonderful. It looks like a resort, and it is very nice. They have a pool, an exercise room, theaters, and a little grocery store. They have everything so you do not have to leave the premises. They have a doctor, and the staff is wonderful. The rooms are absolutely beautiful, and it is in a really nice location. When the door is closed, you have to have a card key to get in. "
