"Garden Ridge Senior Living was nice. They had a pool, a spa, and everything that we liked. They had everything there, like 3 meals a day and bingo that I liked. They had housekeeping. The staff gave us the tour, showed us everything, and she was nice. The dining area was nice and big. Everything was great. They had everything that I liked. We spoke to 2 residents, and they said they liked it there."

"LifeStream at Youngtown has a lot of facilities and is more open. The other place is a four-story building, so it is all very confined. LifeStream at Youngtown is spread out, and I kind of like that a little better. The only person I saw was extremely nice and helpful."

"I moved into The Montecito. Everything is included; your meals, they clean my house, and everything is fine. Also, all appliances, such as a stove, are included. They have a nice pool. The staff is very good, nice, caring people. They offer three meals a day, and they've got a variety of food. It's different every day. They have activities going on every day, all kinds of exercises, and stuff like that. However, I wish it were a little bit cheaper."

"Location is one of the main reasons why we liked Vista del Rio and the other is it seems like a very nice facility. Everybody seemed so friendly and helpful. It was spotless. We had one meal there. It was not spectacular, but it was good. They have a library and a pool, and then they talked about how they have different programs and entertainment from time to time. It seemed like a very congenial place."

"Arrowhead Valley Retirement Community was excellent in all aspects. If I were to choose, I think I would try to aim for them. It was clean and new. Everything is handy. You don't have to worry about anything. The maintenance guy was on site. Everything was just beautiful. It was just stunning. It's kept up well. The ladies in front are very, very nice. I love their inside, too. I like the sizes of the rooms. They all have their kitchen, refrigerator, and washer and dryer in every room. It's actually like an apartment. The person who did the tour was excellent. She was very, very kind and she answered all my questions. She wasn't rushed. She gave me a good tour, which I enjoyed. She was very nice. I think they're doing their job very, very well. It makes you want to be there. It was also very kind of them to ask me to stay for lunch, but I had another appointment."

"I just moved my wife to Inspira at Arrowhead and the level of care that I've seen and the ratio of caregivers to residents surpasses all the other facilities I've been to. The layout of the facility for memory care is very conducive to observation and activities. It's a very new facility. It's only 4 years old. The staff is wonderful. The directors are very involved in running the community, knowing the residents, and being accessible to me. So, they know the residents, which is nice. They just don't ship them in and forget them. When I brought my wife in there, they scooped her up and started her joining an activity right away. They have music about 2 to 3 times a week and they have pianos in every section of the facility. I saw once after lunch where they had a movie. Their food is excellent. It's freshly made. They have fruits and water out so the residents can have them if they want. They're very attentive and very accommodating to the needs of the residents. The facility is very clean, very modern, and very up-to-date. The activity room, dining room, and movie room are all in the center of the memory care area. They have three memory care pods and all their apartments are lining the outside. Therefore, if the residents are out and about, the caregivers can see them. They don't have to look for them down the hallway. They also have outside courtyards that they can visit and they're monitored to make sure they don't get sunburned or dehydrated or any of that. Some things are included and are not included in the price. Like the TV itself and the connection, they are free, but you have to pay for the WIFI for yourself and furnish your own furniture. They have a great connection with people that helped me furnish her apartment though and they did a beautiful job. It's the best place that I have ever seen."

"We toured Adobe Country Gables. It's a beautiful, massive house. It's a regular home, but it's big. It's a mansion. It's like eight bedrooms. It's very well put together. That wasn't the selling point. The selling point was the owner. The guy that owns the place, was so good with the people that live there. He has a great setup. He's been doing this since he was a kid. He's very good. He knows exactly what he's doing. He has no qualms about any of the jobs that need to be done. He has little routines that they do. He'll take certain ones out to do certain things and the other ones to do other things. He's very structured that way and they like him very much. There is like one little tiny closet in a room that would be perfect for somebody who was getting arrested or something, but the rest of the rooms were beautiful, they were big, they had big windows and interiors, bright colored ceilings, and it was fabulous. I loved the place."

"We toured Westgate Village, and it's beautiful, too, but it's different. It is more of a larger community. The one at the other facility was very homey and small, but the one in Westgate Village is very large, and their apartments are all out of this world. They are beautiful. They've got washers and dryers in them. They're nice, big apartments with full kitchens, too. Their amenities weren't nearly as nice as the other facility. They did have a movie theater area, but it had regular chairs, and the other facility had an actual movie theater. The amenities were very simple. It was nice, unlike other places, but the apartments in Westgate Village blew the other facility, like blowing it out of the water. They didn't even compare. So, as far as the apartment goes, it's way bigger and way nicer. Tracy did a great job. She's nice and very informative."

"I toured Thunderbird Senior Living. I did see their menu and everything seemed good. It's like an all-day kind of thing. It's open all day. The facility was clean and nice. I was impressed. It was very well-maintained. The rooms were nice. I'm interested in the studio, large, it was a pretty good size, and it'll work for me. The staff was very friendly and informative."

"I am a resident of LifeStream at Glendale. I think it's very nice. It has everything that I need, and they're very, very, very friendly, and very helpful. I like to cook a little, and so I have a punch card, and I only go to the meals that I really like. And those were very good. I just choose what I want. I've just gone out a couple of times so far. It's an older community, so it doesn't have all the new things. But it's a nice community. There are a lot of activities. They have many different things you can do, which is very good. They have everything from religious things to sports. This is what I can afford, which is wonderful because I can't afford a whole lot. It's less expensive than any other place I looked at."

"My mom is a resident of MorningStar Senior Living at Golden Ridge. The staff is very considerate and very helpful in everything. They give you a variety of food, but it doesn't taste like anything. It's bland. It's a good atmosphere, very nice, and kept clean. They had a lot of stuff. They do help her out on certain things. She did have a pendant that she pressed, and then somebody would come. The money was decent, and then they raised their rent for the first year, so that's why my mom had to go where she had to go."

"I moved to Glencroft Center for Modern Aging. The people are so patient and understanding. They were so patient with me and helped me out and explained everything. So it was a very good experience. I've just been in my room. I'm still putting things away and getting set up, but I haven't gone out and used any of the other facilities yet. I've seen all of them. They look excellent. They were holding on the day I moved in, a Cowboy barbecue event. Things are going on all the time."

"We toured Estrella Estates Gracious Retirement Living. It was very, very nice. The people are friendly, and I like the whole area. Everything is very nice, so that is an option for my mom when she's ready. She liked that one the best over the other facility. The rooms were very pretty, but they were very small compared to other facilities. They do an excellent job. Everything looks put together. The staff who gave the tour was nice. Everybody was very friendly and accommodating. We ate lunch there, and it was very nice. It was very good food too. The dining area is very big and pretty."

"We visited The Groves. They offer everything we need, like meals and an apartment of our own. We were there after a meal period, and the staff seemed nice enough and pretty good. We had a light lunch. The place is all new, so it's very good."
