I visited the community as an option for my mother. The Sales Director was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The facility was very clean, and the seniors looked well taken care of. The administrator was very friendly and welcoming. I was a bit nervous at first, after reading the reviews of this place prior to my visit, but I'm glad I still toured. Not everyone has the same perception. I have chose this facility for my mother.

My mother was in this facility. Almost everything I gave her, including a large jar of CeraVe for her very dry skin, her blankets, the studs in her ears and her shoes were stolen soon after she arrived. I noticed brown lumps on the floor and finally figured out they had been mopping blobs of old poop w/o cleaning it up. I had to get a scraper and clean it up/sterilize it myself. I asked them to cut her hair. In 4 years, they never did, but every time I cut it, the director asked me how I like the "new haircut" they gave her. I always told her I cut it, the woman would actually say "No you didn't, we did." I guess she was used to faulty memories. Don't place your elderly in here if you can help it. Sadly it was the only one I could put her in bc she only had Social Security.

I wasn't impressed with Parc at Sharon Amity. I saw residents sitting in the lobby, and it seemed like that's where they gather them. That was a bit scary even though the doors were locked. It was like all the residents were sitting in the front door. The staff who assisted us was okay, but the dining area was dark and gloomy. It was a gloomy type of place. I didn't see any activity going on. Everybody was just sitting around. They need to have a better place for the residents to gather instead of up in the lobby, and they need more space.

I was totally unimpressed with The Parc at Sharon Amity. It was a total memory care facility and the lady that waited on me was wonderful. From a distance it looked nice and they were working on the outside and inside, but it was very unkempt, especially the shrubbery and the landscaping. There were 58 people there and I've never seen so many people in my life. They were walking around or milling around, there was pee on the floor, and it stunk. I wouldn't put a dog in there. They had all shared rooms and I was also not impressed with that. I couldn't be more impressed with the lady that I talked to, but the rest of the staff? Nah.
